Promise

" Can you tell me about the location of ' Ope Ope no Mi'?"

Hearing that, Doctor didn't speak for some time and looked into his eyes. Alden looked confident on outside but he was little nervous inside. He only had one clue about Ope Ope no Mi.

He was looking back into doctor's eyes which had no hesitation.

After sometime, Doctor asked," From where did you hear about it?"

Alden thought about how to answer and said, " I can only say that I heard about it from someone at higher post in Marines. "

The Doctor tried to guess that person's identity, but he couldn't come up with it.

After thinking for some time, Doctor sighed and said, "I can tell you about it, but I need a promise from you that you will do one thing for me in future."

Alden said, " I can promise you, but only on one condition: I will not do anything that will force me to betray my family or friends."

Doctor agreed with him.

Doctor stood up from his place and said," Around 10 min walk to the north there is a grave. But there is no body in the grave, but it has something you need."

Alden was happy, but didn't forget to tell Doctor about where exactly his home is.

Afterwards he said goodbyes to Doctor and then went towards the grave. After few minutes he reached the grave. There was a cross made of wooden stakes on the grave.

He removed that stake and started digging the grave with his hands. He was using haki to cover his arms while digging.

After some time, he reached something solid. There was an old metal box. He got it out it was locked. He tried to open it but it didn't work. So he took out Sword of Kusanagi and carefully cut the lock.

And afterwards he opened the box and found a red coloured heart shaped fruit.

He was very excited when he held the fruit. With that fruit he could save his mother.

System: " Quest completed: Find ope ope no mi "

System: " Quest triggered: Save your mother.

Time Limit: 2.5 years

Rewards: ??? "

He thought that if he eats the fruit now he can avoid any mishap.

But as he was going to eat the fruit, he heard the system: " Host shouldn't eat devil fruit at least till he awaken his zanpakuto. If host eats any devil fruit before awakening of his zanpakuto then it will stop growth of your zanpakuto. "

Alden asked: "how would it stop my Zanpakuto's growth?"

System: " System can not reveal the information before host completely unseals his zanpakuto."

Now, Alden was thinking about how to unseal his Zanpakuto as soon as possible to eat the fruit.

But when he heard what system said, he stopped thinking about it.

System: " To eat devil fruit without affecting your Zanpakuto, you not only need to unseal your Zanpakuto but you will need to awaken it completely which may take some more time."

System: " System suggest host to give this fruit to someone host can trusts."

When he heard system, Alden's first thought was to give this fruit to Garp. But then he realized that Garp may not eat fruit and it will go to marine. The marines is filled with politics and god knows what will happen if it goes to World government. So he stopped thinking about giving it to Garp. Now he only had 2 candidates. One his father and other is his aunt. But when he thought that his aunt is still in Marine, he rejected the idea.

So he decided to give this fruit to his father. That can also help his father with his arm.

After making his decision he went back to Doctor.

He thanked Doctor again and walked back to the town. While walking back he remembered about the rewards.

System: " Chain quests' rewards will be given only after all the quests are completed."

Now another issue is how could he hide this fruit. He asked system about any solution.

System: " System can put it in inventory, but it can only be stored for at max 1 week. After which it will start disintegrating and will be absorbed by system."

So just before he reached the town, he put the Ope Ope no Mi in system's inventory and entered the town.
