Chapter Twenty Five- entrance ceremony

Chapter Twenty Five

Claire shouted out while waving at Gregory.

"Oh, if it isn't Claire, I knew you would be put into S-class. Also congratulations to you as well Clara."

After a blush, Clara bowed before sitting back down.

"By the way, James, I heard that you beat the vice president. That deserves praise."

I started scratching my cheek in embarrassment while everybody turned to face me.

"He beat senior Cornwall? Is that a joke, there's no way!"

"Who is he anyways?" someone asked curiously. "I heard he's from the Wrathead family, the same as the two girls next to him."

After hearing that everybody let out a gasp.

Three people from the Wrathead family all getting into S-class, were they all monsters? everybody thought.

"It seems like you are already very popular." Rose let out her usual giggle. I got embarrassed while Claire and Clara started laughing as well.

Once homeroom began, each student's name was called out. Very similar to my old world.

After learning that Gregory would be teaching us basic sword skills, which was the longest period we had each day for the next six years, along with Claire and Clara, I also got very excited, it was like training back at the family estate, and a sense of familiarity filled my mind and heart.

After going over the basic structure of the school and its facilities, everybody in the school had to attend the yearly entrance ceremony.

With the enormous amounts of students, it took some time for everybody to get into their seats, however, when everything was settled, it was the school principal who spoke up first.

"To every new student this year, welcome to Kingwood Academy Of Swordsmen And Swordcraft. By being a student of this school, you hold a certain and unchangeable prestige and weight on your shoulders. You are the next generation that will lead the country. And to those students returning, I say the same to you. I am very pleased to have been able to be one of the three markers for this year's Entrance test. And I have to say that I am very pleased with the amount of pure talent that has flooded into our school this year. If you can stay for these six years, you will be able to proudly say that you have graduated from the best school in the kingdom, and one of the most prominent schools in the world! Now let the new year start!"

With a roar of cheers, the entire student body began chanting, however, they were quieted down, for the next and more boring aspects of the ceremony were still due.

After the principal's speech, there was the speech of the student council, however, it was the usual boring stuff of introducing the new student council and the expectations that they held for the rest of the school.

I had come to realize something. No matter what world you came from, Entrance ceremonies were long and boring, nobody wanted to do them more than once.

After the ceremony concluded, we rushed to arguably the best subject we had, basic sword skills class.

Since it was located outside and on one of the fields it took a while to walk there, however when we reached it. We could see Gregory waiting for us.

Since this was a basic sword class, that meant that the entire year was intermixed.

With two hundred and fifty new students joining this year, there were only twenty in S-class.

When we got there, we could also see two other teachers, however, they were only there to help the students, the one teaching us would be Gregory.

"First of all, I am your teacher for basic sword skills, I am Gregory, I am a King Ranked Swordsmen."

With the entire class in awe, Gregory coughed and continued.

"Since you are not allowed to use your personal swords on the school grounds, you will each be given a normal metal sword to use throughout your stay. Although you can always buy a new one if you break or lose this one that we are about to give you. You will lose marks as a whole, and it could lead to you being unable to graduate, so keep these swords in perfect condition at all times."

With surprise shocks and people whispering between each other, Gregory coughed again to get everybody to shut up.

He then began to talk about a few other stuff.

Although we were all in one class, it wasn't going to be S class and C class doing the same things, it just meant that we were not allowed to use sword forms. It didn't bother me much.

"Well for a start, could I have two volunteers, we will have them spar against each other."

Although I couldn't care much about it, Claire and Clara insisted, so I put my hand up.

"Alright that's one person, we just need another" Gregory said while scouting around for any candidates.

"I'll do it."

It was a familiar voice, it was the voice of Rose.

Well if she wants to fight then I'll give it my best shot. I shouldn't go easy on her just because she's a girl, if she was able to be put into S class, then she must be strong, she could possibly be even stronger than me.

Thinking back to when I insisted in escorting her back home, she probably didn't even need it, argh how embarrassing.

"Alright we have two candidates, now take your stance and wait for the go-ahead." Gregory said while walking up to the side of the stone stadium in which we were going to fight on.

It was clearly old, however, it seemed very well maintained.

"Two S-class against each other? This is going to be a treat!" one person said excitedly.

"Tch, they only did it for attention." Another responded with a much more agitated tone, it looked like he also wanted to show off his strength.

However, they could not predict just how awe-inspiring this fight would be.

"Alright before we start, ill quickly go over the rules, just give me one moment, let me find the page" Gregory awkwardly flipped through the pages, before the other female teacher pointed him to the right one.

"Alright, this will be a non-lethal fight, the winner will only win if they knock the opponent unconscious or cause the other one to surrender. That's it, oh also no underhanded methods, or you will be disqualified, all right now. Let the battle begin!"

And with this, one of the hardest battles I have had up until now commenced.
