Chapter 5, Shift in priorities / lots of building

Having finished with her self deprecating session of crying in the forest while ensuring that her family notices the clone body she set up- looking like a gruesome death by Grimm scene just outside the forest she currently rests. She has a sudden thought, 'What do people of remnant do for their dead? funerals are pretty negative times so imagine they're not held often-' pushing the thought away knowing that she'd go on an internal tangent if she continues she pushes her mind to the next issue- avoiding a rabbit hole of depression by trusting that her mother read the letter left and obliged with her wishes as she hasn't felt the bond between the item she essentially 'siphoned' a copy of her soul into and it's wielder yet.

'AGGHH, next fucking train of thought already!' She growls mildly presenting her displeasure that she has with her own overthinking consciousness, almost kicking and shattering a tree due to the force said kick would have to vent her frustration, instead she stops and forces herself to calm as the forest has done nothing but help her, whether it realizes it or not, and considering she invested in a further affinity with it she desires no harm to come upon one of the things that views her as a friend in these hard times.

She still has roughly 7-9 years until the event she's decided to intervene with first and considering how fast she's realized her growth potential is without her really even trying- she's decided to push a few of her other objectives that aren't time sensitive forward. 

Purchasing affinities to certain elements correlating to specific league characters such as Nami (known as 'the tidecaller' in runeterra granting Evelynn immense affinity with water and ability with it), Malphite (known as 'shard of the monolith' in runeterra granting Evelynn somewhat unparalleled affinity with things related to 'earth'), Zeri (known as 'the spark of Zaun' and specifically taking her ability to manipulate electricity and charge),  finally for the last affinity she got- and arguably the weakest- Lux (light sorccer princess that isn't great at controlling her magic but she's insane when it comes to light as an element). 

With a sigh at the money she spent considering that all of these affinities and related talents she just bought costing roughly 6 times more (really put a dent into the pocket of gold she essentially farmed up the past year) then the previous affinities and talents because these ones are much more versatile and aren't mostly recreational like singing and instrumental ones were- well they can be used for more if she infuses magic and intent into both but comparably to developing the other abilities and affinities she got they're not as worth it thought. 

You can't however always make money off of magic tricks on the side of the street and considering she doesn't plan to use her superpowers to paid mercanary her way to riches in every world she eventually goes to. It couldn't hurt to just transfer the songs 'she makes' to each new world she goes to and and make money the easy way right?

Slapping the sides of her face lightly to try and break this repeated habit- she opens a portal and the other side has the appearance of a barren dessert's terrain, stepping through the temporary portal closes behind her. Menagerie, about 20 miles (about 32.19 kilometers) away from the only civilization on the island for Faunus- Kuo Kuana. 

Deciding this is far enough to start the creation of a new city to improve the conditions of the Faunus she used to pity, feel remorse for, and sometimes even relate to considering the events of her past li-... Shaking her head immediately, She substitutes the train of thought with the intent of summoning the mist walkers she managed to make with the souls of dead packmates that have died during her Grimm farming- She also summons all her current/alive packmates aswell- considering they recharge and are created passively she generally always has her max amount of them- both of these 'summons' she has- she's increased the amount of, as she doesn't care about increasing their quality when they scale with her 'strength' or stats if you will. 

She has the summons form a sort of large perimeter around her work area- however most are used to guard the clones she proceeds to make/summon to herself, her 9 clones begin simply picking up the poisonous mushrooms aoe traps she repeated leaves behind and leaves around the work area  she designates, each one of them moving at insane speeds considering the movement speed she's received from her items and her stats from repeatedly 'leveling up' with her Grimm farming. 

Being that she's the only being on the side of humanity and Faunus who can use magic on the level that she's planning- Ozpin's having dwindled in his magic capabilities with each reincarnation and Salem wanting to eliminate civilization and destroy everything methodically- She ensures her summons, the beings she controls are all sort of doing things to either keep what she builds safe or keeping her 'safe' so she's simply not interrupted. 

With the Release of her mana she closes her eyes as it expands- Her insane mana regeneration build off artifacts and her own connection/understanding she's developed not to be underestimated as most of what she expends is restored as it's spent. Her efficiency only so extreme due to the mind, intelligence, and experience augments she 'changed herself' with through the wishes. 

Exerting her influence over the environment and manipulating it continuously in a coaxing manner to change, starting deep first- she gradually shifts the area below the surface by about 20 feet (6.1 meters) into a layer of solid perfect rock material about 8 feet (2.44 meters) thick to ensure none of what she's going to to do eventually falls through. With a loud sigh she begins spending hours doing this over a 80 mile by 100 mile (128.75 kilometers by 160.9 kilometers) deciding that as she wants this to be a really stupidly big surprise for the Faunus in her grand idea and plan- she'll span the extra 20 miles (about 32 kilometers) to Kuo Kuana- connecting the two settlements when she's done transforming the city she plans to create into a very habitable Oasis and technological potential powerhouse.

Setting the 'foundation' stone as she prefers to call it now should take about total- two weeks given the speed she can move at, efficiency she can manipulate mana, how fast her mind is able to comprehend and process, and how fast she reacts.

After finishing with the foundation- working literally endlessly given she's abusing the fact her mind is hyperfocusing at the time, she also just doesn't need to take a break considering her affinity for light that she bought essentially makes her a friend of the sun in a way like how she is with the forest, water, earth, and somewhat electrical/charge themed things because of how much she invested into each 'relationship' for the affinities so to speak. 

Her creations- though only the beginning stage done, is already being cherished and cared for by the correlating existence. 

Deciding for her next step already, she decides to set up 8% of her future planed area as water reservoirs with processing plants and such taking in water from the surrounding ocean- filtering out the salt which simply ends up dumped somewhere in the desert to get burned away eventually or join the sand outside the city. 

Setting up waste management in a similar fashion obviously for sewer systems and the like- essentially heavily recycle the water and dump the waste with the salt- hoping the sun burns it, but if it doesn't she can always find another chemical way to rid the waste before it builds up to much. 

Setting up 8 different reservoirs for water, 4- one for each corner, and another 4 relatively closer to the center of the city as she plans to make the center more of an urban city- as such it'll require more resources, the outer areas of the city she plans will either be business based factories, or residency depending on the side- regardless they'd both need relatively equal water amounts and as there will be plenty with her plans- just deciding that as she plans to set up some skyscrapers as a show of power for the city and a means to compact the city's requirements to function so to speak.

She begins getting to work on each of the absurdly large reservoirs, each one being around 1% the size of the city's planned starting size and each reinforced wall being of different material- much more water resistant of sorts then the foundation of the city she set up but it's walls just as thick with relatively 3 times the depth below the surface- each reservoir being as deep as 60 feet (18.3 meters) below the surface of the desert- not doing two of the reservoirs for now as she plans to do them with the 1/5th of the city that will be done later to connect with the Faunus's current village. 

Finishing the reservoirs all roughly the same size and quality built within the next week and filled to the brims with water, she starts to exchange sandy areas around each reservoir soil and dirt down to the rocky layered foundation she's previously made, for parks specifically, between 0.25 square miles to 1 square mile each , 2 of these parks (0.65 kilometers squared to 2.59 kilometers squared)

As the water mostly evaporates given she's done nothing to stop it from doing so, heavy clouds have begun to fly overhead the desert ready to cause a rainstorm as she's also been occasionally refilling some of the reservoirs given that she thought it might've not been enough. Already panted seeds of various species that can survive extremely hot areas within each park, She begins her next project as her water affinity and forest affinity speed along the creation of ecosystem within each park area as the rainstorm she created begins. 

Obviously- if the absurd amount of magic she used this past month didn't alert the Faunus citizens of Kuo Kuana, they'd be alerted now and sent to investigate the nearby regions, her city creation project going on for the past month and a half will probably be found somewhat on the edge of their recon maybe as the desert is assumed to be dangerous by the Faunus considering the Grimm they've usually seen.

Those Grimm however have usually been subjected to being Evelynn's farm for gold however as she sometimes returns to her new designated to her newly designated 'fountain' (placed within the city) for this year to spend her earned gold- mostly on increasing the amount of each ally/summon/subordinate she can 'summon/create' to control and patrol a larger perimeter around the upcoming current area. 

By 6 months time creating the city, she's made extreme progress- growing small forest, rainforest or field created to be a park with a relating ecosystem, or one of the created and refilled reservoirs which now have much slower rates of evaporation given how the climate has completely changed. Every area that hasn't been utilized for the means of something else yet has had the sand replaced with concrete and thick asphalt layered at the top where streets are, as for where buildings are the concrete remains at the surface for the buildings she has begun. 

Evelynn's also set up the water processing plants to naturally refill the water of each reservoir, pipes running under the city and through the ground all the way out to the ocean to avoid anyone or anything finding it easily and messing with the pipelines. She's also created the sewer system and it's refiltration system- all the water related infastructure powered by advanced solar panels part of the immense technological aspect she was hoping to add to the city, she managed to make and jumpstart the entire system using her charge and electrical related abilites, acting comparably to car battery for a dead car. She also set up 4 main plants throughout the city to help manage the electrical output autonomously, similar to the water filtration systems and the water processing plants though both of those remain directly outside the city to avoid potential flooding of the city if a malfunction occurs in either. 

While constructing the building, specifically a skyscraper at the moment, Evelynn senses a few of the pack members that now amount to significantly more then they did when she first picked up the ability- same with the mistwalkers she can create. As she turns to the approaching presence of one of her own beings she sees an unconscious Faunus it's dragging towards her, visibly bruised and bleeding- though mildly.

She finishes with the floor she was working on and drops down to the ground from around 20 floors into the sky, not her biggest skyscraper but she supposes it'll do good to finish this one here and move onto the next once she creates it's roof. 

Kneeling down for a moment she heals (though not effectively or properly considering she doesn't have actual healing spells as of yet considering she never thought she needed them) the Faunus while removing the iconic white fang mask from their face and covering the tanned man's mouth with her hand, not caring enough to listen to whatever startled screams he plans to emit when waking up after being beaten and dragged by what one could only really describe as 'monsters that arent Grimm' probably. 

Taking a look at the white fang mask, she takes note that it's the appearance of a Grimm like when they decide to take a more violent approach for their goal- the group probably desiring more aggressive change causing more fanatics to rise, meaning this likely around the time Sienna Khan has started opposing Ghira- the leader of the white fang and pushing for more violent action using the more desperate Faunus to her political advantage. 

This surely couldn't be when Ghira already retired because the White Fang changes after Blake joins and Adam kills someone- it's just getting closer which should be in about 3-4 years. Though Evelynn doesn't plan on intervening with that, she doesn't care about it because their biggest target tends to be Atlas. 

The man below Evelynn's hand begins to struggle as he awakens, visibly distressed as he's awakes to being held below the woman with just her hand essentially- and as a result completely unable to shift his head to get out of her grasp, what bullshit strength.

Evelynn proceeds to move her tails first rather then speak, one of her tails wrapping around the man's throat, two of the others has their barbs pressing lightly into the surface of his skin above vital organs in his upper body with the last tail hovering it's barb above the man's right eye as she speaks, "Relax sweetheart, regardless of what you may believe I care more about the Faunus then most of humanity in general, that's why I've spent the last 6 months steadily constructing this city you see around you and eliminating surrounding grim in the desert. I'm only constricting you like so because I find people who scream- just waking up- very annoying, so deep breaths and calm down so you don't loose an eye, I do after all need an envoy to relay what it is I'm accomplishing back to the main village." 

The shivers scarcely below the woman's sadistic and unsatisfied gaze, clearly eager to see him misstep, taking a few breaths through his nose with each shudder he nods his head to signify he's ready, getting a response form the woman, "Good man, now I don't care to answer your questions- so you're to go back and relay the information I gave you about what I'm doing, to your leader- understood?" 

Just for self-enjoyment she carves a heart with one of her barbed tails into his chest above his heart, while keeping his body's movement restricted with another tail around his throat, after finishing her drawn out action of carving into the man's chest she sends him on his way, clearly more gleeful then before as she saw him piss his pants and his mouth bleeding from the action of biting his lip to hold in the pain her would've voiced, so as to not be punished- but he sure did run as soon as her tail released his neck~.

Looking down at the ground for a moment Evelynn sighs- it seem despite being so young she's getting sexually frustrated and finding questionable ways to 'relieve herself' of the growing frustration, choosing the body of a succubus for her transmigration was not a good idea, but she truly had no idea when she was going to appear nor that she was going to reincarnate not transmigrate. 'what a pain'.

Turning away she begins getting back to work on the city, currently working on the buildings, when she finishes with the 80% planned of the city, she plans to turn the 20% between her and Kuo Kuana into the starting area for a farm, given that they're mostly accustomed to seafood as it is right now they'll have plenty, she's just planning the farming district in the event of over population of the island- or in case people just want different food. 

(A/N: around 3k words, don't know why I just really got into it, despite being so long and lengthy, I hope the 'kingdom building' is enjoyable, that aside I also know the character is likely much more op then I've previously led on- but- I personally have no idea entirely what Salem is also capable of as 1 she is immortal by regeneration, 2 she has magic- and has had magic for presumably thousands of years, this is not me changing the plot this is the Main character's understanding of the queen of grimm or this world's big bad, there is no way for her to 'defeat salem' without destroying the woman's soul, considering her extensive knowledge of magic there is a possibility that any magical abilities used against her can be deconstructed and reformed for her own usage which would be included but not limited to- the portals Evelynn can use if not careful and the Darkin ability usable to seal souls- (was not made to seal magic- and she could simply take over any user the holds her for to long as is a given because of the will of any elder like being, that's assuming she couldn't break the sealing.)
