Awakening Ceremony (2)

"Before we begin, I will also make another announcement that I would like to share with everyone." The Vampire Empress said. She had just finished explaining how the ceremony will work.

Everyone listened closely, waiting for their Empress to resume speaking. They already heard about something that would surely cause an uproar within the kingdom. What more could she say?

The Vampire Empress then said. "Since we have many youths attending the ceremony this year, I would like to introduce my daughter, as she too will participate. The first princess of the Vampire Kingdom, Sofia!"

The sudden news stupefied everyone. However, Zoltan had guessed that this was the case because of the silhouette of the young girl. He assumed it was either her child or someone related.

The nobles panicked since they had no knowledge about the inauguration of Sofia. Usually, when there is an inauguration of a royal family member, they would introduce them at a royal banquet.

Therefore, everyone now understands about the lowered prices, taxes, and the royal banquet tomorrow.

Although, the nobles would like to see Princess Sofia since they didn't know what the Vampire Empress looked like.

No one had ever seen the Empress out of all their long lives, not even once. She would always be covered. It was like if one dares to look at her, it would be a sin.

They thought Sofia should resemble her mother, so they were quite eager to see her.

A couple of minutes later, a little girl with blonde hair and bright blue eyes came out of the curtains and stood in front of the nobles.

When Zoltan saw Sofia, a hot surging feeling built up inside of him. 'What the hell is wrong with me? I like many, many things but loli's are not one of them!'

Zoltan couldn't explain why he was feeling this, but one thing for sure was that when Sofia grows up, she would definitely be a top beauty.

He decided Sofia will another member of his harem. 'Isn't common for the protagonist to have a beautiful princess in their harem?' he thought.

Zoltan wanted to have a lot of members, no matter the race, status, talent, or personality. It was then Zoltan got a new notification.

Zoltan scanned the details of the quest and was surprised by the rewards. It was the first time he's seen a skill being a reward.

Though, Zoltan was curious about the 'Penalty of failure' details. 'Wouldn't being in prison or something make more sense rather than a loss of attributes, perverted points, and my peeping skill being locked?'

He didn't have any complaints, though. Since it didn't have a time limit, he wasn't worried.

Sofia gave a simple, small speech with an expressionless face. "Hello, I am the first princess of the Vampire Kingdom, Sofia."

It looked like she didn't want to be there, but people still clapped and cheered. This annoyed Sofia as she thought. 'Disgusting. I'm only here because mother said something interesting will appear. Could she be wrong?'

Sofia doubted her mother's words as everyone present is either simpletons or two-faced nobles. Not worthy of her precious time.

The Vampire Empress then spoke. "Now, my daughter shall begin the ceremony. Sofia, place your hand on the plaque and inject your mana into it."

Sofia turned to her mother's silhouette as she spoke. "Yes, Your Majesty."

Sofia walked over to the large plaque and injected her mana into it. The plaque lit up as it displayed Sofia's informational.

All the nobles and their children gasped at what they saw. This already set the mood for the rest of the ceremony.

Not only does Sofia have divine talent, but she also has 5 affinities. Even the aptitude damaged their pride.

Someone having 1 affinity was good, and 2 deemed them a genius. But 5? They thought that the world was truly unfair.

Zoltan found it weird that the Vampire Empress would willingly share this with the rest of the nobles and wondered if she had some sort of security plan. 'Her last name was already filtered out, so maybe.'

As Sofia finished, the rest of the noble's children went. Starting with the Viscount' families, it showed mediocre results. Average talent, 1 affinity, and a few aptitudes.

After the Viscount families, in order, it went to the Counts, Marquess, and finally, it was the Dukes' turn.

Nothing was noteworthy from the Counts and Marquess family as they displayed similar results to the Viscounts.

The three Duke families were the Noris, Chambers, and Byrne. The Noris were obviously Zoltan's family and the Denis belonged to the Chambers. The last one was the Byrne and Zoltan heard very few things from Aria as they talked in their private room.

The Byrne family was neutral between the Noris and Chambers families. Much couldn't be said, as Aria rarely interacted with them.

First up, it was the Byrne family. They sent their daughter, who had brown hair and crimson eyes. Zoltan thought she would be very pretty when she grows up. However, it wasn't to where Zoltan would go out of his way to introduce himself to her.

She went up and injected her mana into the large plaque

Everyone was a little surprised by Edith's information, including Edith and her family. Edith was glad that it wasn't disappointing as she sighed in relief.

The Vampire Empress looked at Edith and finally spoke after seeing so many "failures". "It's nice to see a promising youth. May you bring honor to our kingdom and your family."

Edith was flustered and nodded her head animatedly. "Yes, Your Majesty!"

Edith went back, then it was Denis's turn. Following the instructions, he injected his mana into the plaque.

Denis and Frederick were most pleased with what they saw. Although it wasn't as good as Sofia, it was still something to be proud of.

Denis' results surprised Sofia, and thought maybe this is what her mother was talking about. Though, when she next heard her mother, it left her confused.

"Good" she said. It was a response that no one was expecting. Shouldn't she be a little more enthusiastic like she was with Edith? Denis was better compared to her, and he only received a measly "Good"?

Still, Denis bowed to the Vampire Empress and returned to his place. It was finally Zoltan's turn.

Zoltan exited his private room and slowly walked to the plaque. As he did this, the room was silent. Everyone had different thoughts and feelings seeing Zoltan, mainly because of his appearance.

They saw Zoltan's long-silver white hair that was tied up as it swayed with every step he took. His bright crimson eyes looked like they could pierce through the depths of one's soul. His beautiful chiseled face and his height reached a little over 1.5 meters, while his body was pleasantly built.

All the women in the room, wives and daughters, blushed from seeing Zoltan. Even the expressionless Sofia couldn't help but avert her gaze. 'Interesting' she thought.

The men, however, had looks of jealousy, envy, and anger at seeing the sight of their wives blushing. Unfortunately, they couldn't do anything because Zoltan was born into a Duke family.

No one could see the Vampire Empress, but if one did, they could see a smile appear on her face. She then said in a low voice. "Finally..."

Sofia heard her mother and looked at her as she saw her smile. She's never seen a smile on her mother's face like the one she was currently giving. "Mother?"

Zoltan reached the plaque and sighed. He knew that showing everyone what he was capable of was for sure going to cause him problems. Although that did not mean it would not come with advantages.

Zoltan finally injected his mana into the plaque and waited for his information to be displayed. It was a few minutes, but nothing happened.

This confused many, and Sofia thought he was just a pretty face with no strength to back it up.

Denis laughed at the situation. "Haha! Seems like he's nothing but trash. My worries were unfounded."

Denis had celebrated a bit too early, and a few seconds later, Zoltan's information appeared.

Everyone gasped, including Sofia and Aria. They couldn't utter a single sound.

No one has ever heard about a talent rank called "Immeasurable". Also, having 7 affinities? The aptitude was also absurd. What was the world coming to?

Sofia felt foolish for her thoughts earlier. Not only did she think Denis was the person her mother talked about, but she also underestimated Zoltan too quickly.

She was also surprised that someone outclassed her in everything. She was the Vampire Empress's daughter. The first princess, yet it didn't matter.

For some reason, she wasn't bothered by it. Sofia was a competitive person, so she felt a little relieved seeing Zoltan's information.

It was until then the Vampire Empress laughed loudly. Her laughs thunderclap the whole room, bringing everyone to their knees as they covered their ears.

Sofia thought that many strange things were happening today with her mother, and it all involved Zoltan.

The Vampire Empress kept laughing as she spoke. "Hahaha! Zoltan Noris, come closer!"

Zoltan hurriedly walked over to the throne and kneeled. He placed his right hand on his chest as he greeted the Vampire Empress. "Greetings, Your Majesty!"

Aria taught Zoltan proper etiquette in his training.

A few moments later, the Vampire Empress spoke. "Zoltan, how would you like to be my disciple?"
