If Owen will be able to defeat his system and unravel the mysteries of the system and the worlds depends on how dark and cold he can let his heart be. "Isn't that Owen Duurm?" "Shhh....don't be so loud. Last week he had a falling out with the Prime Minister, and told him 'I hope you get home safely' our prime minister died the moment he stepped foot into his home." the lady was obviously sacred as she spoke and stares at the handsome man walking down the hall. "Isn't he the dummy of the Duurm family?" The lady released a sad sigh. "He used to be. But now, he is not just his family's terror but our terror. The whole country's nightmare."

The truth she wants to know.

Owen drops the card and swirls around to look directly at her. "Why are you acting so secretive? Is there something I should know?"

She shook her head and removed her hand from his. "The only thing I need to know from you is how far you are willing to go for power." She brings her fingers to her elbow, and rests on her left leg. Patiently waiting for his response.

Owen didn't even need to think about it at all before he replied. "As far as the system is willing to take me my darling." He swirls his chair back and places a call to joy. It was already past afternoon and he still needed to tell Ophelia what he thought about the condition. That is if she was still hanging around.

"You wont think about it?" She proves.

"What is there to think of? Yes..Joy, can you place a call to the taxi man and tell him to be here tomorrow morning by nine. I have found his wife." He pauses for a while and toys with the papers on his table. "Yes. good. Is Ophelia still around? Great. Tell her to come in." He hangs up and adjusts the papers lying around on his table.

His AI couldn't wipe the guilty conscience in her chest. If she were to say anything further and the system should suspect, she dare not think of what will happen to her.

"Young master, the first step is usually the simplest. You have to be sure you are able to take on the system before going too far." She tells him walking away to sit on the chair.

Owen regards her with a long stare before he hears the knock on the door. Was there something she had to tell him?

"Come in."

As usual Ophelia first tilts her head inside before meekly walking in. Quietly closing the door behind her, she walks towards him and stops when she is about five feet to his desk.

Owen rises from his seat and picks the documents he had printed out.

"Have a seat." He gestures to the long table used for staff meetings in his office. "I have looked at the competitions available and I have come to conclude on one." He pushes the paper containing information on the condition to her.

Ophelia picks it up and looks through it. "Star models Competition?" She had heard of this before and was in fact looking at it through her phone. She had wanted to apply but there are already two successful models going for this competition, not to mention one of them is her longtime enemy who has always felt bigger than her. Owen's uncle too was indirectly linked to the competition. She didn't think he would want her to go for this.

But… "If boss feels this is the right one, then I will sign up for it." She looks at him and holds the document to her chest. "Who will be my manager? Shall I go with Miss Joy to register?"

Owen would have wanted Joy to go with her but he was yet to really go around this city in person and he wanted to make sure things go smoothly for Ophelia. It is what the first Owen would have wanted.

"No. I will go with you."

Ophelia glances at the window sill that was now empty of the plant and stares back at the man whose eyes were as bright as the morning. She nodded her head and didn't comment on the plant.

"When are we going?"

"The registration ends in two days. We will register tomorrow to be on the safer side. You don't have to feel pressured, just dress as you would.  We will leave by nine tomorrow morning. '' he rises to his feet and Ophelia follows.

Raising her head to look into his eyes, she genuinely asks. "Boss, is everything really fine?" It was not long that she had seen him act like he was on the brink of death. It was only a pity that some sort of miracle had happened within the few minutes she brought Joy over, that made his face look so normal.

She had suspicions, but it was kind of impossible with Owen. In fact more than impossible.

Owen graces her with a faint smile as he walks to his desk. "I will make an appointment with the Star competition committee. Just be ready at nine tomorrow. And Ophelia…." He pauses and smiles again when she looks at him. Carefully speaking, he lowers his voice and makes his tone firm. "I am really fine. I just had a slight headache due to stress."

Ophelia nods her head and begins to walk towards the door. She wanted to believe him but her suspicions were too strong. Before she finally left the room, she glanced at the window sill again, a complicated look in her eyes.

The minute she stepped out, his AI pops beside him with a cunning smile on her face.

"Looks like there is something between you two."

Owen simply glances at her with a nonchalant look and settles in his seat. "There is nothing like that. I don't even know why she decided to stay. But whatever. In whatever I do, I have to do my best." He has always been that type of person. Even regarding his system, he would make sure to do his best.

She places her hands behind her back and walked back to the couch to lay on it.

Ophelia swiftly checks for Joy at her desk and notices she is busy with the computer, she then walks to the bin where Joy had disposed of the plant. Reaching inside, she picks a paper from the bin and makes some of the back dust from the plant to land on the paper. Quickly bringing it out, she wraps it together and places it in her trousers.

She adjusts her clothes and brings out her phone. Dialing a number in it, Ophelia clears her throat and smiles.

"Hello..grandfather, how is your health? Yes Ophelia has missed you too. Grandfather, can I come over and look at some of your books? I have some questions for you regarding a project I am working on. Okay okay...I will come I will come." After placating the old man, for her not showing up, she hangs up and looks back at the door to his office.

Curiosity might have killed the cat, but it would only lead her to the truth she so badly wants to know.
