Defeating Four Asura Brothers

"Come on! Let's finish it quick or else, we will lose the benefits." Mugin spoke as he took a step forward and dashed toward Joseph.

Although Joseph had stood up, his body hadn't recovered at all. He was only standing because of his Will to fight. His eyes weren't completely shut as he managed to see Mugin appearing in front of him.

'So, it's not teleportation, huh.'

Joseph thought as he instantly ducked and spun. His leg struck against Mugin's leg but didn't even manage to shake him off.

"Hooo! It seems you don't have any remaining strength at all." Mugin smirked and kicked Joseph in the stomach.

Joseph's body slide a few meters away and stopped after colliding against the tree. This time again, Joseph stood up but just like before, he couldn't move properly.

Mugin used his speed once again and appeared in front of Joseph to punch him but this time, a hand caught his fist.

"You have done enough. The strength you are craving won't come to you just because you want it. I know it is hard to accept defeat but in this situation, you can't do anything."

"Remember, don't try to surpass your limits. Instead, push the limiter higher so that you will always have room to grow. Now, rest, and let me handle this."

Mugin instantly pulled his hand and retreated next to his brothers. He looked at Alex and asked.

"Who are you?"

Alex smiled and said "I am the dean of Celestial Sun Academy. Sorry for barging in like this but your people have been living on my ground so I have to kindly ask you to leave."

Hearing his words, the four guards remained silent for a moment until Mugin suddenly burst into laughter.

"Hahahaha! Are you kidding me? We have conquered this land for years now. Do you think you can take this away from us? Don't fool yourself!"

"I am not fooling myself, kid. I am serious so much so that I am very excited to demonstrate my seriousness."

Suddenly, the blue lightning sparks appeared beneath his foot. It formed a pair of boots as he rushed toward them. Being caught off guard by his movements, only Mugin managed to move away.

"Strengthening! Five Folds"

Alex clenched his fist and mana burst into it. He targeted Tengen right off the start. Tengen wasn't fast nor had a powerful defense. Being targeted by him, he could only hope to outclass him with a punch.

"Boost!"

Tengen used the spell to boost his physical strength. That was his magic. It was similar to Alex's magic. But unlike Alex's magic, it had low power.

Bang!

The collision happened two seconds later and Tengen flew out like a cannonball, heavily colliding against the tree. His Asura Scales got cracked as he fell to the ground.

"You bastard!" Lingo roared as he rushed toward Alex. He condensed a large amount of mana into his body, turning his scales bronze.

"Bronze Armor!"

It was a powerful spell practiced by him. Those with Defensive Magic can learn this spell faster than others and also have greater use than others. And with the Bronze Armor around his body, even his punch had a boosted effect.

Alex thought of retreating for a moment but then he realized that if he retreats now, how can he face the people inside the village?

He took a deep breath using Heaven and Hell Breathing Style to suck a large amount of mana into his body. He concentrated all of the mana into his fist.

The mana concentration was so high that it involuntarily pushed his Strengthening to another fold. It wasn't a coincidence though. It was a way to increase his strength.

Concentration!

It was a rare ability that people unlock when they have mastered their control over mana. Once this ability is used, the person can push the power of his spells to another level without harming himself.

That being said just obtaining this ability is harder than practicing higher-level spells. Alex took ten years of training with his mana to unlock this ability. That's why in his last battle against those nine strong mages, he was able to pull off some of the craziest strength.

Ding!

Their fists collided and the vibrant sound shook everyone nearby. It was so loud that even people inside the village could hear.

"Gah!"

Lingo spits out a lot of blood as he found his spell breaking. His body flew away like a ball and collided against the tree. When he fell to the ground, his eyes shut down.

"Lingo!"

Three of his brothers shouted at the same time. Tengen barely got up as he tried to move toward Lingo but Alex obstruct his way.

"Move away!"

Tengen roared as he smashed his fist forward in rage. Alex sighed. He moved his hand and push Tengen's arm upward. Then, he put his mana into his fist and punched Tengen's chest.

Bang!

Tengen flew out and fell to the ground heavily coughing out blood. His scales broke completely and he was bleeding all over his body.

"Damn it!" Mugin bit his lips and rushed toward Alex. He conjured even more speed this time but when he reached near Alex, he got a kick on his chest.

"That speed is nothing compared to teleportation."

Alex coldly remarked as his kick sent Mugin flying. Suddenly, at this moment, five hammers appeared around him, creating a complete formation.

"Mountain Crushing Hammer Smackdown"

Join roared as he smashed Alex with all of the five hammers. Instead of blocking them, he released his mana toward the ground.

"Earth Escaping Spell"

Suddenly, his body drilled into the ground and drilled out several meters away from that attack.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Five hammers struck the ground and dissipate. Alex rushed toward Jogin before he could react and the mana covered his hand. An immense amount of flames appeared on his hand and strengthened his fist.

"Fire Dragon Iron Fist"

Boom!

His fist smashed Jogin with the flames. The explosion swept away everything and Jogin fell down with his skin burned like crisp.

"Yellow Lightning"

Suddenly, a roar came from the village as a giant thundercloud appeared above Alex. Before Alex could make a move, the yellow lightning fell toward him and struck him.

Bang!

The power of lightning was very strong. Just from a single strike, dozens of bruises appeared on his body. Alex looked at nearly fifty Asuras walking out of the village.

"Human, how dare you run a rampage in our village?" The Asura who used the Lightning just now walked in front of him and stared at Alex with a deadly glare.

"Actually, this piece of land belongs to me for a long time. I know after the war you have got conquered this land, but since I've returned, I kindly ask you to leave." Alex puts the same old smile on his face and spoke.

"Tch! Don't try to fool me! We have been living in this land for fifty years now. You are just a teenager. Even if you want to make a lie, make it more believable. And, when did Asura start giving face to humans?"

"And, you almost killed four of our guards. Not only you won't get your land, but now, you won't make it out alive." The Asura conjured the Yellow Lightning in his hand once again and tried to punch Alex.

But, Alex simply dodged it by retreating several meters. He took a large breath of mana and channeled it into his mouth. He puts his hand in front of his mouth forming a pipe between his fists.

"Phoenix Breathing Spell"

The flames shot out of his mouth. As it moved out of his hand, it slowly got bigger and took the sharpness of a bird. The bird was the phoenix.

'Damn it! That guy's mana level is only Junior Mage. How can he use a level four Spell? I only have a level two spell but I have to give it a try.'

The massive size of the bird shocked everyone but the Asura who was facing it head-on released lightning bolts into his fists.

"Lightning Cannon"

Boom!

The strike of yellow lightning and the flames of the phoenix collided. It bursts into a powerful explosion that engulfed nearly dozens of them. Some managed to escape but most of them were still caught inside it.

When the flames slowly extinguished, dozens of Asuras were burned.

Thud!

Although they were burned, only the Asura at the front fell down. Other Asuras didn't suffer enough to make them fall.

"Everyone, attack with everything you've got." One of the Asura shouted as he formed a giant lightning bolt in front of his hands.

"Lightning Snake!"

He shot out the lightning bolt that transformed into the lightning snake and rushed toward Alex. It was followed by others who used different kinds of attacks. But, there were only ten of them, and their magics were confined to one of five basic elements.

Alex clenched his fists but suddenly changed his mind. He channeled mana into his hand and stomped the ground.

"Great Earth Wall"

The ground cracked and the giant walls made out of earth emerged. It covered Alex but Alex didn't relax. He took another mouthful of air mixed with mana and released a large amount of water around him.

"Water Sphere!"
