Aftermath

Yimi could feel her mana pool running dry as she fought off the undead tide. Thankfully the machines Kur had left with her were providing critical support. As she manipulated the iron throne vines and grappled the undead, the Juggernauts would direct their fire at them. The Wolven on the other hand, even if their damaged state, were slaughtering the undead in quick succession.

Just as she was about to attack another undead they all stopped moving. This startled her, yet the machines never stopped attaching even if the undead did. As soon as one of the Wolven struck down one of the still undead, the rest quickly fell. Every machine stopped firing or attacking as the undead. They watched as the undead fell to the ground, truly dead. The Wolven kicked one of the corpses and analyzed that the undead were dead. Seeing as their objective was finished they rushed to their masters side.

Seeing the machines moving towards their Master she quickly followed suit. As she ran behind the machines she heard the screams of Kur! She picked up her pace. After a minute of running she and the machine arrived to the main room. Calling it a mess was putting it lightly. The walls, floor and ceiling had huge craters. There was an enormous body next to Alduin and Kur, who was on his knee's completely silent.

"Kur. Are you okay?" She asked nervously. She was hoping he was still alive. Other wise she would be here alone with these damaged murderous machines. Thankfully her worries were unwarranted when she noticed Kur moving.

Kur slowly stood up. It was like his body was twice as heavy as he struggled to his feet. Alduin almost moved to help him up, but Kur just raised a hand. Telling him he was fine. Kur clenched his fists and felt a new surge of energy. Under his suit smiled excitedly as he read the new notifications.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA" Kur laughed maniacally! All of that fighting and hardship earned him these runes! Even if he was pissed while fighting he actually enjoyed it. He cleared his throat and spoke "My apologizes about that. With the Vampire slain our mission is complete."

Yimi relaxed her shoulders and was relived. The threat hidden on her world was finally gone. She fell to the ground on her knees. It's only been less than a week, but this adventure felt much longer. She should feel the stress leaving her body. She just closed her eyes and relaxed for a moment.

Kur stood up and walked over to her. "I'm going to be leaving shortly. I would like it if I can get those cultivation books you offered as a reward."

This caught her off guard. They had just finished fighting an enormous horde of undead AND a Vampire. They didn't even relax before Kur was ready to leave. Then it dawned on her. Kur had put in the most work and she was sure he was ready to leave. He had even more plan than to stay on some planet away from his own home. Hell she wanted to join him just so she could visit that room again.

But they both had other things to do. She had to rebuild her planet and make sure her people were safe. After that she would have to really get the ball rolling to dethrone the COS. Kur on the other hand. She had no idea what he had planned, but hoped he would still join them to over throw the COS.

"Before I give you that I need to clarify something" she spoke as she looked up at him. "Are you still going to help us with the COS?"

Kur reeled his head back. "Of course? I was planning on taking them down anyway. But I have other plans I need to take care of before I really get started."

She nodded her head she Kur helped her up. "I need to make this planet a better place before I do that as well. Looks we have time to kill." Once she was on her feet she noticed that the main gate where the Dark Star Heart was was destroyed. The heart itself was also missing. She was going to say something, but Kur had already done so much and the books she was giving him wasn't enough of a reward. She ignored it and walked to the gate on the right side.

She placed her hand on it. Shortly after a green hue covered the gate.

CACHINK

The gate unlocked and slowly revealing a large library. Bookshelves rose all the way to the ceiling. There were thousands of books in the room. She entered becoming Kur to follow. He quickly followed after her and ordered his minions to go back. He would be back shortly. Yimi lead Kur down one of the rows and spoke as she walked.

"These books tell the history of the Druids and the civilizations where we all came from. Stories of folk lore, math and science and even books on agriculture. Although we do have basic cultivation books. If you'd like I can give you a book on our Druid cultivation route?"

"Haha. It's fine" Kur politely declined. "Though those books on agriculture along with those basic cultivation books would be greatly appreciated."

Yimi just smiled and nodded. She figured Kur wouldn't accept the Druid cultivation books, but had to try. As they walked passed book different bookshelves Yimi would grab random books. She grabbed 5 books in total.

The first book was a rich red color with an image of a person with twinkling stars around them. The second book was a dark orange color with a hallow person with a hallow square where their heart is. The third book was yellow with a hallow person and a yellow colored in square for a heart. The forth book was a green color with a hallow person and green flowing liquid inside their body. The last book was a similar light green color with a brown tree on the cover.

"The first four books are about cultivation from the Foundation realm to the Liquifying realm. We only have one book about the Nascent realm and can not give that away. Anything above that we have no books about" She said as she handed the books over to Kur. "The last book with the oak tree is a basic agricultural book. Has information on hundreds of species of plants and crops you can grow."

Kur nodded and thanked her for the books. He felt slightly guilty having to leave so quickly, but he was too excited. And tired! He wanted nothing more than to sleep for a week and relax. After he collected the books he wished her well and that he would come back to visit when he planned to take on the COS. He vowed to work with her and hopefully meet others also. Yimi wished him the best of luck and soon Kur vanished.

She was sad to see him leave. For someone who seemed to be a machine, maybe, he was really ignorant of the universe. Or at least that's how he came across around her. He was like a child who's never left their home only to find out they are one of the most powerful beings on a planet. She thought it was very odd and something she would have to look into in the future.

Now that she was alone, she locked back up the gates and traveled back to where her people were. When she thought about how far the travel was she was mad! Kur carried her all the way here cutting their travel from days to hours! She grimaced thinking about how long this travel would be.

As Kur arrived back to his lair he quickly jumped out of his suit and headed straight for the [Café]. He was famished and exhausted! He ordered a large salad with fruits and turkey, he read somewhere in his past life that when you're hungry eating fruits, veggies and leaner meat is the best. He also got 2 very large glasses of water. Quickly drinking one and slowly ate his food. He didn't want his food coming back up to haunt him.

While he was eating he noticed the door open and a fiery greyish green eye looking at him. Silently watching. Lucas slowly chewed his food while looking back at Alduin. "Somfing I can melp you mith?" Lucas said with a mouth full of food.

"Are you my Master?" Alduin asked innocently.

Lucas almost choked on his food wanting to laugh! He quickly swallowed his food and had to hit his chest to make sure it all went down properly. "Ahahaha yes! Sorry I should have shown you what I really look like." Lucas got up from his table and walked over to Alduin.

"I am Lucas Kromwell. The me you saw before, Kur, is just a persona to hide my identity."

Lucas began to explain everything to him. His past life, being summoned by the Gods, his System everything! Even where he took some inspiration for his name given that his skull was a Wyvern skull.

Alduin was fascinated by this! He asked Lucas to tell him more stories about his past life and the experiences he had. Granted the experiences he was talking about were just stories of video games Lucas played. Lucas was happy to share the stories! He moved one of the tables to sit closer to Alduin and spoke for hours about these magical or science fiction worlds he went through in his video games. Alduin sat in the hallway like an eager puppy. Secretly the Minions listened in as well.

Deep down everyone listening, including Lucas, were excited about how big this new universe was. They all wanted to have their own adventures exploring planets, galaxies and star systems. Even the Minions began to have a spark of life building in them. Something Lucas would have to deal with in the future!
