Yami vs. the king

"Hero, go hold off those demons." Yami seeing that demons were backing up the red demon that summoned him.

The hero nodded as she flew towards the, holy light feel from the sky, making all the demons that were hit scream in pain before they covered themselves in dark energy to protect themselves.

Light and darkness both cancel each other out.

Yami stood on top of a tree as he watched the battles, Anna has gathered a few undead, but she was still far off from reaching that demon. As for The hero, she was trying to draw as many demons away.

Yami suddenly felt a gaze fall on him, looking towards where it came from. He saw the King looking straight at him.

'it seems like I have to fight. But he is equal to a med demon of the half step. He us two stages higher than me.' Yami knows she couldn't run, so she got ready for a fight.

*use speed, try to tired him out, and when you are tired, eat souls to regain your magical energy.* the system said calmly

'buy me Teruki Hanazawa Telekinesis ability.' Yami said after some thought.

*Teru has shown a mastery of this basic psychic power, allowing him to move objects and even people with his mind. This will cost you 400 souls.* the system said calmly as Yami nodded.

Yami points dropped as he got a new ability. He looked towards the king how sent someone to kill him.

'he thinks I'm not worthy?' Yami thought as she looked at the old man the king sent at him. he was a bold old man with deep eyes.

He was floating in the sky as he made his way towards Yami.

*he should be equal it a peak stage demon.* the system said as Yami took a deep breath, he had to finish this battle quick, or else things could be bad.

Yami first used Telekinesis to shoot himself up, the old man was slight shock seeing Yami not using his wings to fly, but he didn't put too much thought into it.

Yami took out her sword. She rushed towards the old man, but the old man made a barrier, and it's wasn't a low level one, so the blade wasn't able to break through it straight away.

"fireball." the old man said calmly as he pointed out, a large ball od flames appeared on his fingertips, which he shoot towards Yami.

Yami dropped the sword as she was hit by the ball of flames, sending her flying.

"Impossible." The old man said in shock as Razor Edge stabbed into his back, killing him.

*began to drink blood so you can heal.* the system said as Yami used Razor Edge to bring the old man to him.

She then put him into the system strange and went on to take out a cup of blood from the system storage which she went on to drink.

The damage she took souks disappeared, she looked towards the king he had anger written all over his face.

That old man was like a father to him. Watching him die only reminded him of the past.

*Host, be careful not to have him get stronger. If he goes, the holy light that will fall will kill you.* the system said as Yami nodded.

"why would you attack me, seeing that I was helping you kill the demons?" Yami asked softly as she floated in the sky.

"helping?" the king asked in anger, but when he looked at Anna and The hero, he froze for a moment.

"even so, you attacked my people, and I can't forgive you for that." the king said coldly. he had an air of a king around him, just looking at him, one could tell he went through man hardships to get to where he was today.

"and I can respect that, but today we both have the same enemy. Let's first work together before we began fighting each other." Yami said with a smile.

"I don't need your help." the king said as he took out his golden sword and swung it at Yami.

A large sword slash flew towards Yami. He had wide eyes at how fast it was. he used everything he could not to push himself out the way, and as soon as he did, he slowly landed on the ground as he took deep breaths.

*host, I said try to tier him out. Why would you just stand there? Do you think this is some cultivation story where you are the mc and could skip levels? Because if you are half right.* the system said calmly

'shut up,' Yami said as he stood up, looking coldly at the king. Yami waved her hand as trees began flying towards the king. She jumped up as her wings grew.

'how is he controlling these.' the king thought as he followed Yami with his eyes. He swung his sword at the trees, not even caring to look at them.

'agility boost, more significant agility boost, Body strengthening, Enhanced magic resistance, Flow Acceleration, Focus Battle Aura,' Yami used all of the magic boosts she had as she looked coldly at the king.

'Flash slash.' Yami thought as she disappeared. She appeared behind the king as she began coughing up blood because of how fast she went.

"what was that skill? it's like you disappeared." The king said as he turned to look at Yami. His sword was broken, and there was a large slash on his face.

"that is something I can't tell," Yami said as he controlled the broken black from the king's sword that was lying behind to stab towards the king's neck. But when it got close, a barrier formed around the king.

"then you may die." the king said as he was about to attack Yami, but the ground under him moved as it flew off.

Yami took this chance to flew off as she began eating souls to heal.

'damn, I thought that should work.' Yami thought as she felt the pain running through her body.

*host, his armor would active as soon as he is in damage, forming a barrier around him. You didn't have to face those barriers as you were too fast. But the king was still back to react and block that attack, which took most of the power behind your attack.* the system said, sighed.

*my plan was for you to have him use all of his energy, to make it so that he would be too weak to block that attack of yours.* the system said

'you should have just said that.' Yami said

*sigh, I was afraid that someone with your intelligence would not understand. Sigh, when you are as smart as me, you just can't help but look down on everyone.* the system said in a sage-like voice.

'can I mute you?' Yami asked with a dark face.
