Chapter 14- A pawn has been acquired

"Cheers!"

Holding a juice can, Ike shouted in excitement.

After the midterms results were announced, all the study group members except one gathered in the evening to celebrate, even Horikita was here.

"Hey! What's with the gloomy face? Sudo wasn't kicked out, so everything by a over right?" Ike said looking at me as I sighed.

"I don't mind the celebration, but why is it in my room?" I asked.

"Man, that was close!" Yamauchi said as they ignored my question.

"If Kushida-chan hadn't gotten those old test questions, Ike and sudo would've been out by a mile!" Yamauchi said, I think you would've been out too.

"Haa~ you just barely passed too!" Ike said smugly.

"I just haven't gotten serious yet." Yamauchi said with a thumbs up.

I looked at Horikita who was sitting on my bed reading a book and not paying any attention and Kushida was looking at the three guys smiling.

"Anyway where's Kageyama?" Sudo asked as everyone looked at me even Horikita who was just reading.

"Oh he said he wouldn't be able to make it since he got some plans with his girlfriend." As I said Yamauchi and Ike faces darkened.

"That lucky bastard!" They both shouted as sudo laughed, Horikita went back to reading her book.

"Hey, ayanokoji-kun." Kushida came towards me as I looked at her.

"Yes?"

"How did you get them to rescind sudo's expulsion?" She asked as everyone looked at us, Horikita didn't seem to have any interest.

I thought of an answer, what should I say?

"Horikita had a talk with the school." I said as she immediately looked at me.

"She said you can't expel someone without explanation just because they got a failing score." I explained as Horikita glared at me.

"W-wait a—" Horikita stuttered.

"You did that, Horikita-san?" Kushida said with a smile.

"I've never seen her so serious about anything." I said twisting the lie more, as she glared at me more.

"It sure was incredible. She threw out all these accusations and not one teacher could fight her." I said exaggerating.

"Really!? Horikita-chan, that's amazing!" Ike said impressed as he smiled same with Yamauchi.

"I guess we had the wrong idea about you."

"Aren't you glad sudo?" I asked as he looked surprised.

"Why would you do that for me?" He asked, only if he knew. Horikita was just paying the private points Kageyama gave to save sudo.

Kageyama sure is rich huh? Guess being a member of the student council, no being the vice president sure has its perks.

"I merely acted for my own benefit." Horikita said as she blushed a bit and focused on her book.

The three guys laughed as they started praising Horikita.

Timeskip!

"Thanks for helping me out." I said to Kushida who stayed behind helping me clean up.

"I should be thanking you for letting us use your room." She said with a smile, how kind.

"No big deal." I said and picked up chips package.

"Ayanokoji…" Kushida said as I looked at her.

"Yeah?"

"Do you like girls like Horikita?" She asked, that's a weird question.

"I always see you together. All the girls in the class are talking about it." She said, do they?

But I don't think I would like someone who pokes me with a compass.

"Horikita is just a friend." Nonetheless I answered avoiding the question.

"No…actually she's just an neighbour." I said correcting myself.

"I see. I'm going back to my room." She said as she turned around and started walking towards the door.

"Okay."

"Well goodnight."

"Night…"

The door opened and closed as she left.

Well that was weird. I looked at the bed as I saw a phone.

She left her phone, I picked it up and put on my shoes.

Might as well give it back to her.

As I got out, I saw Kageyama walking towards my direction as he waved.

"Oh ayanokoji~! Whatcha doing here?" He asked smiling as I saw him holding a box, looks like some cake box.

"Oh, I was just going out to give Kushida her phone." I said as he gave me a weird look.

"Oh that's weird. I just saw her taking the elevator down." He said, aren't the girls dorm up and hiding from his answer, it seems Kageyama took the stairs.

"I see, thank you." I thanked him and took the elevator down.

"See you~" he waved at me with a smile and walked inside his room.

Going out the dormitory building, I saw Kushida walking near to the railings where you can see a good view of the sea.

I don't even need to be hiding but….

"What a pain in the ass." I heard different tone of voice as I looked at Kushida.

Kageyama POV

"If you tell anyone about what you saw today, then I'll tell everyone in the school that you tried to rape me." Kushida said with a scary face as she came close to ayanokoji while I recorded it.

"Well that would be a false accusation." He said as she shook her head.

"No it wouldn't. It's not a false accusation." She said as she took ayanokojis hand placed it on her breast.

"Your fingerprints are right there on my shirt." She said with a cold face.

"I'm serious." She said looking ayanokojis eyes who seemed somewhat surprised.

"I understand. Let me go, please." He said sighing and agreeing to keep her secret.

"Ayanokoji-kun. Can you promise me, right now, that you will not tell anyone what you saw?" Damn both sides of kushida is kinda hot I guess, I never really hated her character, more like I liked it.

"I promise." Ayanokoji said as kushida turned around.

"Okay. I'll believe you." Kushida said ass ayanokoji looked at her before peeking in my direction for a second. Tch, he noticed me huh? Well who am I kidding to? He himself is amazing in his own way.

"Okay! I guess we've got another secret, huh?" Kushida turned back around into the cheerful and angel girl the class knows of, she'll do for real.

"Well I'm going to head back." Ayanokoji said as kushida nodded.

"Hm! I'll see you tomorrow ayanokoji-kun!" She said waving him goodbye cheerfully as he looked at my direction again. After a few minutes, kushida was still here and seeing that ayanokoji wasn't here, I'm sure he figured out what I was gonna do. Tch! Guess I gotta treat him to some ice cream during the cruise trip.

"It was quite a show you put up, kushida." I said as she instantly looked back.

"What do you mean Kageyama? I was here taking a fresh air. Did you come too?" She asked as I smirked.

"Enough with the bullshit kushida." I said to her as I showed the video of her blackmailing ayanokoji.

Her face dropped and there it is, her mask broken.

"Y-you! Delete that video!" She said as she tried to snatch my phone.

"Nuh uh! I'm not a dog like the rest who would listen to you easily." I said to her as she gritted her teeth.

"W-what do you want?" She asked as I smiled.

"Good~ you're getting the situation your in right now." I said to her as she gritted her teeth more, stop you might break them.

"It's simple I want you to follow my instructions and orders whenever I ask you to do, in other orders be my pawn." I said to her with a smile as the wind blew through my face as my hair flowed.

How cold….

"Hah? Are you insane? Like hell I'll do it!" She said with a angry expression as I sighed.

"I guess you leave me no choice, you know being the vice president I can easily tarnish your reputation and cause havoc in your life in this school, that you would willingly want to get out of this school." I said to her with a smile as she sweated.

"So what's your answer kushida?" I asked her a she gritted her teeth and snorted.

"Okay I'll do as you say." She said as I smiled.

"Good." I said patting her head as she moved back blushing.

"W-what do you think you're doing?" She asked as I blinked.

"Uh patting your head?" I said as she sighed.

"Kageyama-kun you're really a weird guy." She said as I deadpanned.

"Really?" I asked as she nodded.

"Whatever! If you expose I swear I'll kill you!" She said as I chuckled.

"Well don't worry about it." I said to her as she nodded.

"You go back, it'll be suspicious if someone saw us." I said to her as she nodded and walked back to the dormitory as I smiled.
