Li Yuan

Other than the Heavenly Realm, there was this realm called, Earth. Earth was a beautiful place, full of nature and beautiful landmarks. Everywhere you go, there was a new experience. It can be loud in one place, and quiet in another. No two days were ever the same. People were always rushing to get somewhere, or do something, just like Li Yuan who was rushing to get to her class.

Li Yuan, was a beautiful and smart girl that attracted many young men. She was the youngest of 4 daughters in her family and was currently attending a university studying biology and life. She loved the nature which surrounds her and always had an interest in what was the meaning of life. What is the purpose of her being on earth? Everyone had a destiny she thought. But what was hers? She hoped to find out, but with just months from finishing her degree, she felt like something was still missing. What was her purpose in life? She wasn't sure, but she just had a feeling. Having these thoughts in her mind, Li Yuan hoped that if she studied more, she would find the answers to these questions that seemed impossible.

Li Yuan reached her class about life and had learned in today's session that sometimes, there are things out there that the naked eye cannot see. This really sparked Li Yuan's interest into what that could be.

Li Yuan's teacher; Professor Kim lectured, "Legend says, high above the clouds, there is a heavenly realm. A place where everyone talks about, but no one has ever reached or can explore. It is said that there, there are people who lived forever and dragons lurking everywhere guarding that place."

Li Yuan: Dragons?! How cool! I wonder what they are like she thought!

Fei Li: Sounds stupid, if you asked me!

Fei Li - classmate and a friend of Li Yuan who's always had a crush on Li Yuan, but Li Yuan never liked him because of his conceitedness and his blabber mouth.

Li Yuan: How can you say that Fei Li? This is interesting!

Fei Li: Sure sure, but I don't believe in that crap, unless I see it for myself. You shouldn't believe everything you hear Li Yuan. No one has even seen a dragon. That's some myth. Didn't you just hear what Professor Kim said, "Legend says.." A bunch of BS. There's no such thing as dragons, or the heavenly realm. Trust me. With technology and how advance we are, I'm sure we would have discovered that island if it was real. Again, bunch of BS.

Li Yuan rolled her eyes and just ignored Fei Li.

Fei Li noticing that Li Yuan was upset at him, tried to change to subject.

Fei Li: I'm sorry babe! I didn't mean to make you upset. I'm just saying that you should pay attention to more important things, like me.

Li Yuan: First of all, I'm not your girlfriend, so stop calling me "Babe." and second, you're not that important, so I'd never pay attention to you. I've told you millions of times, we'd be nothing more than friends. So, move on with your life.

Class was just about done so Li Yuan, started packing up her notebooks and everything.

Fei Li stopped Li Yuan, by grabbing onto her hand and apologized.

Fei Li: I'm sorry Li Yuan. You know how I feel about you... Why won't you give me a chance? I'm a good guy you know...

Li Yuan: You're a great guy, but just not for me.

Fei Li: I'm not going to stop trying, until I see someone else has caught your attention.. Just know that.

Li Yuan: Whatever.

Before Li Yuan can get up and leave Fei Li stopped her and said, "Li Yuan, what are you doing tomorrow, since school is done for the week."

Li Yuan: I have plans.

Fei Li: What kind of plans?

Li Yuan: My sisters, friends and I are planning to go to the new year festival in Fallingstar City.

Fei Li: Really? You're going to that boring festival? Nothing ever happens... Why not skip that and instead come with me to Tide Shore Village, and spend the weekend with me and my friends in our cabin?

Li Yuan: No thanks, but you have fun. I'm going to the festival.

Li Yuan walks out before Fei Li can say another thing.

Fei Li: One day Li Yuan. You'll be mine. If I don't get you. Nobody else will. Just mark my words. One day you'll become mine.

Li Yuan walking out of her class thinking to herself. "Gosh, when will he stop. No matter what he does, we will never work out. He's really not for me. I wish he'd just stop...But whatever, I got better things to worry about.. Time to go home and get ready for this festival. It's a 4 hour drive.. Ugh.. Well, maybe I'll meet someone special there..? Nah.. It'll never happen.. I'm not that lucky.. But I can always dream."

Li Yuan was indeed smart, beautiful and everything but the one thing she felt she didn't have was someone who understood her. Someone she can talk to, or share things with. Even with all her admirers. None of them made her feel a spark in any way.....

The next day, Li Yuan, her sisters and her friends drove to Fallingstar City for the New Year Festival.

"What a beautiful place," Said Li Yuan.

Li Yuan's oldest sister, Li Xi teased Li Yuan and said, "Yeah, so beautiful that you might get more admirers.. Maybe Fei Li will finally give you up!"

The sisters laugh, but deep down, Li Yuan hoped that maybe she would find the one? But again, she knows she's not that lucky... or is she?
