Start of the second Anbu Mission! And a Title that wasn't chosen
"Team 9... You know why I called you here despite your 2 weeks off. I'm sorry to cut your personal time short but Hiruzen and his team have been compromised and require extraction! Your team will get them out of the fire. Your team has two assault specialists and are perfect for the rescue operation!" Tobirama has a gloomy look since Hiruzen and his team are his disciples and he wants them to come back unharmed but he is expecting the worse. In these types of situations, you must always expect the worse.
"We understand Hokage-Sama!" The entire team salutes and then vanishes.
'Come back whole and healthy Akame... It would be a great loss to the village to lose someone at the Kage Level and one with so much potential... I pray for this as both Hokage and a friend...' Tobirama goes back to battling with the paperwork with a heavy heart.
Some might think it strange that Akame is friends with a 50+-year-old man but Akame and Tobirama just clicked... And so became friends rather easily besides Akame acts like someone who is in her late 30s so Tobirama treats her as an adult. She is technically an adult anyway now that she is Chunin. She recently got a promotion.
'The 1st and 2nd Shinobi world wars were incredibly vague in the anime... It is entirely possible that Hiruzen and his team actually were compromised when they were sent to spy on Kirigakure... It wasn't shown in the anime but that doesn't mean it didn't happen in reality.' Akame starts sorting episodes from Naruto Shippuden that showed the 1st shinobi world war but it's too vague and she only knows that some of the most prominent Shinobi will die such as Hashirama and Tobirama. Both brothers died within a single decade.
'I'll save you Tobirama... Kinkaku will not kill you! I don't care if I go AWOL I will disobey orders and come to your rescue! You will not die... You are my second friend in this world I refuse to lose you so soon.' Akame packed her supplies and body flickers toward the entrance of Konoha.
"Alright, no time for a speech to raise Moral! Team 9 advance!" The captain takes the lead.
Akame and Sakumo speed up and go past the Captain... "Captain we are the strongest in our unit! Let us take the brunt of whatever is to come! We are the wolves!" Murasame speaks.
"Captain let me and Murasame show Kirigakure the ferocity of the Shinobi who bear the Wolf Mask!" White Fang speaks as well.
"You insubordinate idiots! But your idiots I'm glad to fight beside!" The captain lets them take point.
Akame cuts her palm and goes into her trump card mode and red markings spread across her body startling her teammates Sakumo infuses his sword with chakra causing it to have a milky White aura and he slashes forward causing blinding light to the Kirigakure scouts.
Akame pushes off a branch and cuts the Kirigakure Shinobi into pieces within seconds displaying ferocity, unlike anything these poor scouts have ever seen. The last two Jonin regain their sight only for Sakumo to behead them from behind. The last thing they see is a demon holding a very long Katana and the Katana seemed to be drinking the blood of the fallen making the blade look so much sharper.
Akame dispels her trump card mode and the scars from the previous times she used it get even darker making Sakumo grimace since he thinks girls shouldn't bear scars but he also has to admit such scars seem more artistic than any other scars he has seen. If he wasn't still a boy whose balls haven't dropped yet he would say that these scars are very attractive as they are scars that seem like ritualistic scars that are very artistic.
"Let us catch up White Fang!" "Understood!" They both rush forward to catch up to their team and go past the captain again making her feel conflicted and the feeling of powerlessness spreads through her entire being.
'I need to start training again... Such young Shinobi have already surpassed me and I feel so inadequate when I compare myself to them... They aren't even out of breath and have no sign of fatigue after killing dozens of Chunin and 9 Jonin...' The captain has a conflicted gaze behind her mask.
They encounter another team of Kirigakure Shinobi...
"It's Murasame the Butcher! Run!" The Kirigakure shinobi scatter but a jonin and some chunin weren't fast enough and succumbed to Murasame's cursed blade and White fang's Chakra Blade. They continue onward to the land of waves. The land of waves is a part of Kirigakure but during the first Shinobi war, they lost this territory right now they are still in control of it.
"The butcher huh? Nice title haha" White fang teases Murasame.
"Hey! I didn't choose such a title!" Murasame is much more open with Sakumo since they have spent half a year together and grown closer to each other. Akame's days usually revolve around hanging out with Sakumo at first she spoke only a sentence or two but now she is comfortable showing more emotions and speaking a lot more.
Murasame and White Fang have taken many missions when not doing their Anbu missions and they grew close over the four months of fighting together and spending time together when not on the job. They have each other's backs every time they go on missions and play cards and other board games Akame introduced to the world. It would be strange if they didn't grow close after spending so much time together.
