Chapter 1- I Died because of a Cat!

"Wake the hell up!" my dad yelled at me from downstairs.

"Uh." I groaned in frustration at him as I got up anyway. My dad is the type of person that shows tough love more than gentle love which I don't mind because I know he means well. My mom has cancer so we have to visit her at the hospital if we want to see her.

Anyway back to me; my name's Rook Frontier and yes I know that Rook is the name of a chess piece as well as a bird. Manga is one of my favorite past times. I love isekai manga or any manga that has a system which makes the host OP as hell. My hair is the common black, I have dark brown eyes, my skin color is mixed, I have freckles and wear red glasses; I put on my school uniform( looks like the one from highschool dxd😑).

"Hurry the fuck up, your going to be late for your new school and its your first day!" he yelled at me which put me into high gear. I didn't want to be late on my first day of school so I grabbed a piece of French Toast and a bottle of water. I ran to the bus-stop as fast I could when a black cat sprinted in front of me.

"Well that's not at all bad." I say sarcastically. I managed to just arrive as the buss arrives to pick up us up, me and the buss-driver don't really get along all that well. The only reason why we don't get along is because I accidentally spoiled Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 which put me on his shit list.

I go to my assigned seat in the middle of the bus where I listen to music so to drown my frustration. My dad constantly asks me why I hate school and I'm not so sure myself, but when I go to school it feels like I'm restraining myself. I'm scared what people would think if they knew my true thoughts as a person instead of my lies that I made to make a person.

"Hey bitch." I looked up to see who it was and surprise, surprise it was Daniel the dick of the school in my opinion. People consider me and him friends just on the basis we're always talking to each other, but what they don't comprehend is that I barley really paid all that much attention to him or even acknowledged him as a friend; he felt more like am associate.

"Hey." I say nonchalantly. He starts sitting with me bombarding me with questions and telling me stupid things that happened to him all of which didn't interest me in the slightest. I answer his questions with generic answers like: Yes, No, Maybe and Fuck off.

I look out the window try to zone out by turning up the volume and staring out the window enjoying the scenery as Daniel finally stopped talking. I notice a truck is driving toward a us with no signs of stopping, I squinted to see who was driving when I saw the driver was asleep while holding a beer bottle so that means he ain't waken up soon. I start to panic as I brace myself for impact. Tish~ The truck hit the buss sending glass everywhere; I fell out of the seat when I felt something impale my left leg.

"Shit!" I yell looking at where at my left leg. A rusty pole had found its way through my leg while a tire held me down. "Help! Someone! Please, help me!" I yell coughing up blood. I look around trying to find anyone when I notice a broken wire sparking next to what I hope isn't gasoline, but based on the smell it is. I knew that damn black cat was bad luck!

Boom~

The bus had exploded sending my burning body-parts flying everywhere. I must barley see my classmates who've already been evacuated and had left me behind.

"...Motherfuckers." I say as my consciousness fades away.

"Hello?" I ask. When I viewed my surroundings there was only an empty white void like the ones in my manga. 'Wait, does this mean I'm being reincarnated.' I thought

"Hello! God!" I yell trying to get their attention.

{ Well maybe I could cover it up. Yes, if I get rid of this miserable piece of shit I can must select a new apostle before anyone notices. Now where should I put you? Hmm~ Ill just put the soul in the land of chaos, he'll die in a matter of minutes.}

God snapped his fingers and I'm set flying once again. I was flying by galaxies, stars and even black holes; then I see a planet that's dark and broken. The other planets I've seen were bright and vibrant, but this one was dead almost; when I squinted I saw what I assume are monsters on the planet and most likely my destination.

I heard another voice call out to me. It was similar to the first one which was god the only difference was that it felt more gentle. Suddenly someone grabs my arm pulling me back into the white void. I turn around when I see a little girl wearing a cloak adorned with jewelry. The girl looked she was about 10 yrs old, her hair was a reddish brown in bangs covering her left eye, her eyes were grey and her skin was a pale white.

"Who the hell are you." I say sternly. She bowed her head towards me with tests in her eyes.

{I'm sorry for what happened to you with God, but my name is Leslie and I'm the God of the Life and Death Cycle nice to meet you.}

"Nice to meet you to, my name is Rook Frontier;so what happens now?" I ask.

{Well since your already dead and you already took the trials then I'll simply reincarnate you! How does that sound! }

"Nice! Also what's the purpose of an apostle anyway?" I ask her.

{Well that's simple question to answer; Gods or Goddess need apostles to be their hands in the real world since we aren't allowed to directly interfere with the problems of mankind. Apostle are also considered to be the child of the God or Goddess they serve which means that whatever the apostle does the one who made them an apostle will be held accountable for their actions.}

"OK that clears up some stuff up, but what's a trial?" I ask another question.

{Trials are how should I say it, tests to see if your worthy to become an apostle by putting you through the wringer. One test was with your mother and her cancer or the bullying at school, even your older sister getting raped and murdered in front of your eyes was all a test of your will.}

"How is my sister anyway?" I ask holding back my emotions.

{She's enjoying eternity in heaven. I believe she's drinking whisky while reading on the beaches of stardust.}

"That's sounds like her." I said smiling.

"Well that benefits me greatly; Firstly I want to have a body that's always healthy, Second analyzing ability of Shiba Tatsuya, Thirdly the power over the 4 forces-" Leslie had cut me off.

"In that case I'll choose the Still and Sage force, Fourthly I want to be a master neutral magic, for my fifth wish I want to be able to understand all languages and finally for my last wish I want to be able to bring my cellphone and use it when I reincarnate." I say leaving her not surprised in the least.

When I had come to I was in a forest wearing ragged clothing with scars all over my body. I went to a lake I saw near by to see what I looked like. I had the long black hair that went to my neck with midnight emerald eyes and my skin color was still mixed, but like I said again I had scars all over from the neck down. I swam in the lake to clean off all the dirt. I'm gonna need some new clothes to wear. 'That reminds me, don't I have a System now.' I thought.

"..." I said ,but nothing came out. "...." I couldn't speak a word. I looked are my neck to see if there was anything wrong and surprise surprise there was another scar on my neck. 'I'm mute it seems, to bad I can't summon it by just thinking System.'

'That worked! Hey system is there anything that can fix my throat?' I ask it. The System had a more feminine voice which I thought was a plus because I didn't want to hear a man constantly in my head.

'Wow!' I yell in excitement. I couldn't believe that I had a System that it still felt like a dream to me.

A glow came into the palm of my hand and soon after disappeared leaving a brown pill in my palm. The pill itself didn't look like much at least and the size was small which I liked. I swallowed the pill when my body started glowing soon after. When the light stopped the scar on my throat was gone.

"Testing testing, 1 2 3. Ha~ my voice is back to normal, man that's relief." I said making sure not to take my voice for granted anymore.

"System give me all the pills I received from the Gift Box as well as the Iron Sword, Adventurer set and both those Skill Books please." I say and a light glowed on the ground leaving all the stuff I asked for. There was a black box with three pills similar to the Regen Pill were in, I swallowed all of them when multiple notification appeared in front of me.

When I finished viewing my status I picked up both skill books when a notification asking if wanted to learn them appeared which I said yes to of course, both of the books flew open as the words started flying into my head.

Isn't production something like alchemy or sowing. That means if I choose alchemy I can create spears, swords and even shields.

"Alch-" I stop myself realizing that I'm in Akame Game Kill. If chose alchemy sure I could make swords and other things, but alchemy follows the rule of equal value which means if I want to do something on a big scale I would need something of equal value. What if I could make my own Imperial Arm, then I could forge even an ego weapon which would grow along side me like with Bell's knife in Danmachi. "System I choose Blacksmithing."

"Now that that's done System what should I call you just to get to know you better, but I think I know what your gonna say." I say.

[System is known as System, but if Host wants to change System's name that's also okay.]

"Alright I'll change your name to Mira then." I say when surprising notification popped up.

"Uh-" I pause not even understanding what had just happened. The reward was surprising to say the least. I mean just renaming the System got me 100,000SP and I can choose any Skill I want from the I guess Store. "Hey Mira, what other functions do you have other than showing my status?"

[I have the Store function which is self-explanatory due to your experience with manga and web novels. I can also give the host daily quest on the Quest Board to earn SP or Store Points! Finally the last function is called Recycling/Synthesizing; Recycling means the host can give me things the host doesn't want and I'll turn it into RP or Refine Points which can be used with Synthesizing. Synthesizing is when the host takes a skill or an item and fuzes it with other skills and items to make a new item or skill, but if the process fails both items will be lost. The Host can also use the RP to enhance a skill or item so make it stronger. 💪]

"Did you use an emoji to show strength?" I ask

She already seems to be using them. I put on the armor set which were just jeans, a black zip-up hoodie, a white T-shirt, long black socks, sneakers and the phone I asked for located in the hoodie's pocket. I started to walk while going through all the things that I could get with my points. The store even has things from Dark Souls as well as Bloodborne. I've been eyeing the Frayed Katana and the Stake Driver for awhile, but decided to back off for now.

"I want to meet Tatsumi and the others." I say happily running.

What Mira said made me stop in my tracts entirely. My original plain was to just watch Tatsumi and the others for my own personal enjoyment except now I can't even do that. I'll just have to train for now so I can defend myself and maybe even find a job as blacksmith to raise my proficiency in smithing. When I talked to Mira she said mastery goes from Beginner, to Basic, to Intermediate, to Advance, to Expert, to Master and finally God.

"That's easy I'm going to train my ass off! First I need to find the capital for work!" I yell running.
