New Journey?

~Lilith POV~

It's class right now and all I can think about is the book. What if the legend was true and someone from the war did get sent to this world, and if they did what were their plans with the pocket watch.

All lesson my thoughts were about the potential possibility of even a war occurring, what powers could be unlocked through the use of the pocket watch?

And just before this class Clara had told her about a mysterious disappearance of time and space affinity users since she had entered the academy. Saying that many children even before the age of 6 had disappeared without a trace.

I wonder if these occurrances have something to do with the unknown enemy, and the use of the pocket watch...

*BANG*

"Ah!" I yell startled of the sudden bang of my desk.

"Good to see that your back with us Miss Carter. Now would you care to explain what your thoughts were on the countries economic situations?" Professor K asks calmly but harshly clearly upset that she wasn't paying attention again.

"No...sorry sir."

"*sigh* What am I going to do with you. See me after class Miss Carter."

"Yes sir."

~After Class~

"Lilith what has gotten into you lately, your not paying attention in any of your classes, on top of that you seem to not even be here. What are you thinking about so much that it interrupts your education?" Professor K said concern about his star pupil. He knew that whatever she was concerned about had to be really important as he noticed that all of conscious she wasn't even here, usually she would act the same way as today but she would still give some of her attention.

"I...I'm truly sorry sir. I've just been having some personal issues outside of school there's really no need to worry sir. I'll ask the headmaster for a week off to deal with it and the next time you see me I'll definitely be back to normal." I said respectively making sure I added a small smile of reassurance at the end to persuade him into believing me.

"...Fine, as long as your going to be back to your normal self then do what you wish." He says hopelessly with a little reluctance.

"Thank you sir, see you next week! I'll definitely thank you properly after this has been all cleared up." I say happily before rushing out the classroom to the headmasters office.

Once I got there, I was about to knock but her voice stopped me, "Come on Miss Carter."

I follow her orders and greet her, "Hello Headmaster it's nice to see you again."

"You don't have to act so formal, after all I know why you're here. Miss Carter, I heard from Professor K that you wanted to see me about taking a week off of school to allow you to deal with some personal issues. I will grant your request on one condition."

"What's the condition?"

"The condition is that someone you know will be tagging along with you and that you two will be to performing a small task for me. The task will be going to retrieve a ancient relic from the abandoned ruins of Eterna."

"What! Isn't that place a myth? It's also said that anyone who's entered hasn't come out to tell the tale." I say shocked at her request.

"Yes, it is said that but I believe that you and the person I'll send with you can do it." She says determined while looking into Lilith's eyes.

"That also leads me to my next question, who is this person you want to go with me?" I say skeptically, not to sure what she was up to by sending someone with me on my travels.

"Oh that won't be a problem, I definitely know you'll like the surprise."

"Surprise!?? So you aren't going to tell me!" I yell a little taken aback with her mischievous actions.

"All you have to know is that he is my step brother-in-laws son and someone you are connected too."

"huh? What kind of description is that. Oh well, I guess I'll take the mission as long as I get a week to deal with my own personal issue."

"Yes that will be done. Miss Carter you will get a whole 1 month to get your issue settled and to complete the mission, I want the mission report on my desk in exactly 1 month from now. You will be leaving tomorrow morning with your assigned partner, you may take your leave."

"Yes Headmaster, see you in a month."

That night I had informed Clara and Leona on my mission given by the Headmaster, both were shocked that I was already given a mission since it was only recently that I had entered the academy and when they heard it was given personally by the headmaster they were even more taken aback especially Clara. She was sad that I was going to be gone for a whole month and was sad that she wouldn't have anyone to talk to when I was gone, to which I just responded with "You still have Victor don't you?"

But that only earned me a hard knock on the head though seeing her reaction was pretty funny, she hates Victor's guts so even the slight mention of his name you can feel the temperature increase as her fire magic flares up.

I honestly pity the man, he has it rough if he wants to win her heart. But if he does wish to, I'll definitely support him all the way!

I'll even play a little matchmaker as it would be really nice to see two of my good friends get together but I'll definitely won't force her if she doesn't want it.

Anyways it's morning now, and time has flew by so quickly. Last night I get a strange message from the ancestral pocket watch, it read the message, "Thou who seeks to end all has risen from the west, and sought out for glory where the treasure of the lost lies. Death wrecks those who are weak but if one hearts seeks shall it appear."

The message kept playing in my mind and by morning I was still thinking about it, I'm trying to decipher the deep meaning behind each phrase and word but all I could understand was that I had to head west to glory so it must mean head to the kingdom of Gloria located in the north-west maybe then it'll be clearer.

Packing a small backpack with some healing potions given by Leona, a new set of clothes, a water bottle, a normal pocket watch to tell the time and a few smoke bombs just incase I need to get away from enemies, I was set and ready to go. The rest of my essential's were placed into my space, the reason why I brought a backpack was to hide the fact I had space magic as I will be travelling with someone.

I arrive at the academy's entrance a little earlier than the said time just so I could be ready to leave once meeting my partner. It's 5am now and I'm still waiting for the arrival of my partner, we're meant to leave in now so I began tapping my foot and looking at my pocket watch. I look around trying to see who could be my partner, and as my patience was running thin I heard a familiar voice come from behind.

"Sorry for being late, partner..."

"Felix! Your my partner?" I shout surprised, no wonder the headmaster kept saying that I would like the surprise and that I already had a connection with the person. If I had known it was going to be my Felix then I wouldn't have brought my backpack.

"Surprised princess?"

"Yes. I'm definitely surprised but it's a good surprise."

"That's good, cause I'm going to be your partner from now on when performing missions."

"Wait. Really!?? That's great then I finally get to see how good you are out on the field."

"Seriously princess, aren't you happy that we can spend more time together?"

"Huh? Oh, Of course but I've always been curious about your abilities so..."

"*Sigh* I see, you've always been like this even when we were little. You do still remember what I told you back then don't you?"

"Of course! Ummm...I-...Ah- what did you say back then again? I forgot...Sorry Felix..." I say looking down at the ground ashamed.

"Hey, it's okay if you don't remember I'll help you remember soon. So should we get going?" He says gently patting my head with a warm smile.

"Mmm, okay let's go...wait. Which thing do you want to do first the mission or my issue?"

"Hmm, as much as I would like to figure out what your issue is, I think that if we do the mission and by chance, we also encounter your issue at the same time we wouldn't need to do a lot of backtracking? The same could be done with your issue being first just depends on location. So where do you need to go for your personal issue?"

"Well, I need to go west to the kingdom of Gloria."

"Oh, what a coincidence it so happens that the abandoned ruins of Eterna is located in the mountain areas near the kingdom of Gloria. So it seems that both of these things could possibly be connected...princess?"

"yeah, I guess they could actually be connected somehow..." I said uneasily, if they are connected how am I going to explain what's going on to him and how am I going to take the relic if it indeed has something to do with my issue...
