CH - 1- Flowers For Your Grave Part - One

"Murder... Mystery... The macabre.." an attractive blonde woman says. She is Gina Cowell. She is the President of Black Pawn Publishing.

Gina continues after a moment of pause, "What is it about a dark and stormy night that sets our pulses racing? What is it about a hard-boiled detective, a femme fatale, and the cold steel of a gun that keeps our bedside lamps glowing until the wee hours of the morning?" as she is saying this she strays from the crowd and notices the main star of today's event being gushed over by his female fans. He is Richard Castle a rockstar of the literary world, but she immediately changes focus to the crowd and continues with her speech saying "However the spell is cast, tonight we honor one of the masters of the form and celebrate the launch of <Storm Fall> the stunning conclusion to his best-selling Derrick Storm mystery series. Ladies and gentlemen the master of the macabre... Rick Castle.."

Hearing this Rick who had been signing the chests of his female fans trots up onto the stage to a massive round of applause from the gathered crowd.

On stage, he exchanges a kiss with Gina in greeting, during which she whispers to his ear "Pig" to which he responds "Witch" but the smile never leaves either of their faces. After his greeting Castle takes the mic and says "Gina Cowell everyone. President and publisher of Black Pawn Publishing." To which the crowd responds with a round of applause.

As the crowd dies down he continues "isn't she something" while looking at Gina and then he turns to the crowd and continues "You know, on the way over here tonight, it occurred to me... Detective Storm and I have been together longer than both my marriages put together. And when I thought of it that way, it made me realize something." he takes a long dramatic pause, seemingly a bit emotional and then he says " No wonder I am ready to move on." and smiles at the crowd to which they respond with a small collective laugh.

"But in all seriousness. It has been a great ride... with you and Derek Storm. The book is a great read and I look forward to seeing you all back here for my next book. Thank you all for coming. Have a wonderful evening. And for those who want my autograph, I will be making my way to you very soon. So get your boo..ps I mean books ready"

Castle and Gina make their way to the photographers where they pose for pictures ..FLASH FLASH FLASH...

As they walk away from the paparazzi Gina asks "What kind of an idiot kills off his best-selling main character?"

"Are you asking as my blood-sucking publisher or my blood-sucking ex-wife?"

"Is that what you're doing? Punishing me by killing the golden goose?"

"I may be petty and short-sighted, but I'm not that petty and short-sighted."

"Then for godsakes why Castle? " she asks as they make their way through the crowd as people hand Castle books [**Wink *Wink** ] to sign.

"It's just like I told you before, I was bored"

"You don't kill a multi-million-dollar franchise just because you are bored"

"He wasn't fun anymore. Writing him was becoming more and more like...work "

"God forbid the great Richard Castle works for a day. You could've retired him, you could've crippled him, for godsakes you could've had him join a frickin' circus! But no, you just had to put a bullet through his head"

"Big exit wound too, real messy" Castle replies all giddy as they stop walking and are now facing each other. He then grabs a glass of champagne for himself from a passing tray takes a sip, and then continues "Besides, Derrick Strom isn't the Golden Goose, I am. I wrote half a dozen best-sellers before him what makes you think I'll stop now?"

"Oh, I don't know. The fact that your new book was due, hmm wait a minute let me think... ahh yes NINE WEEKS AGO " as she takes a small step closer to him

"Well what can I say you can't rush genius" he too closes the distance between them.

"Genius, Richard, try blockage? I am hearing you haven't written a single word in months "

"That's Ridiculous "

"My sources are very reliable"

"Well, they are wrong," Rick says, at this point, their faces are just inches away from each other.

"They better be, because Storm or no Storm, you're still under contract. And if I don't have a manuscript on my desk in the next three weeks, Black Pawn is prepared to demand the return of your advance."

"You wouldn't dare."

"Try me. Just try me," she says with a wink and walks away but as she was walking away Castle says "You know Gina, I already returned that advance. I spent it divorcing you." and then goes on to empty the glass of champagne in a single gulp.

In a quiet corner of an open bar at the same party, we see two kids sitting together the girl writing something on a book and the boy reading a book titled <The Art of War>. The girl is Alexis Harper Castle, 15 and the boy is Noah Harper Castle, 16 [This is our MC].

"Hey sis, wanna make a bet?" Noah asks as he spots someone in the crowd in front of him.

"Well, that depends what is it about?"

"Well you see that old gentleman over there in the black suit talking to that couple"

"Yes, I can see him. What of it?"

"Well my wager to you is that Gram will bring him home tonight out of all the men here"

"Interesting... give me a minute," she says and then goes on to inspect the crowd and says "Sure brother I will take you up on the bet."

"Done counting the old people in the party. So what do you think your odds are of winning?"

"Hmm... considering the fact that over 25 people above the age of 60 are attending this party I would say pretty good. What about you?"

"Well I am pretty confident too"

"So what are we playing for brother?."

"Hmm.. I don't know... Money??...chores??... anything is fine".

"Okay let's bet 10 thousand dollars"

"Sis, you sure about this??"

"Yes I am sure"

"Okay sis it's a deal then"

"Deal," she says and we shake on it and get back to our work.

[30 mins Later]

A few minutes later an Old lady walks toward them and calls for the bartender, she is Martha Heath (Grandmother == Gram [for short] ) then she says " Really, dollface, who does homework at a party? and you kiddo stop reading books and talk to a few girls"

To which Alexis says " I have a test next week."

Gram replies "So do I liver function. You don't see me studying and what's your excuse kiddo? "

"I like reading, besides the women here are too old for me," I say.

"Sheesh kiddo don't let them hear you," she says to which I smile

She then tells the bartender "Alright, give me a hit of the bubbly "

And from behind her, we hear our Dad (Rick Castle) say "Make that two"

To which Grams turns to him and says "Hey kiddo sales must be slipping because they are only serving the soft stuff"

And both of us say "Hey dad"

He comes to us kisses Alexis on her cheek and says "Hey sweetie" hugs me and says "Champ"

Then he turns to Grams and says "So mother..."

She immediately says"Shh! shh! Not so loud. I am still hoping to get lucky"

He ignores that and says "Did you tell Gina that I was having trouble writing?"

"Oh, I told her nothing of the sort. I...." Dad stares at her and she relents by saying "I may have said something about spending your days moping in your underwear waiting for post time at Belmont. But hey, you're an artist. It's expected "

"We had a deal. I let you live with us but you don't talk about my work"

"What's to talk about? You haven't done any since I moved in" at which point Alexis interjects by tapping her pen on the bar table and saying "Gram" to which she turns around and says"Well he hasn't" then turns back to face dad he says "Whatever I have and haven't done I would just appreciate it if you didn't share it with my Ex-wife"

Gram responds by saying"Oh what's the big deal?" but then she focuses on someone in the crowd so she says while still looking there "Hang on sweetie. I just got a hit on my Gray-dar.... Bingo no ring. Stand back kids Mama's going fishing.. hahaha " and she walks away.

Dad walks to us and says "You guys shouldn't have had me committed"

"For what letting her move in I think it's sweet" replies Alexis, "I think so too "I add.

"Won't be when I strangle her "dad says then he sees the bartender bring the two glasses of drinks he and grams had ordered. With Grams gone fishing, he takes both the glasses places one beside Alexis, and takes the other one for himself.

Seeing this Alexis says "You know that I am only 15, right?"

To which he says "You're an old soul"

"Well me and my old soul can wait," she says and places the drink on the side

"What about you kiddo?" he asks me to which I say "eh what the hell " take the glass and gulp it in one go. Seeing this dad says "Yes that's the spirit" then stop thinks to himself and says "I am a bad influence on you guys aren't I " To which we both just nod.

He then says "You know when I was your age.." he stops again and then says "I can't tell that story. It's wildly inappropriate which, oddly, is my point. Don't you guys want to have wildly inappropriate stories that you can't tell your children?"

I say "I think you have enough of that for all three of us besides there is still time for us" to which Alexis nods her agreement.

Dad continues "Life should be an adventure. You guys want to know why I killed Derrick?.. There were no more surprises I knew exactly what was going to happen every moment of every scene, just like these parties. They have become so predictable 'I am your biggest fan. Where do you get your ideas?'" then Alexis jumps in and says "And the ever-popular 'Will you sign my *Chest*?'"

To which dad says "That one I don't mind so much" to which I show my support by saying "Yeah me neither" to which he says "My man"

Alexis says"Ya well F.Y.I., I do"

Dad says"Just once I would like someone to come up to me and say something new"

then we hear a female voice say "Mr. Castle?"

Hearing this my dad immediately takes out a marker from his suit pocket and says while turning around to meet this unknown voice "Where would you like like it?"

The female introduces herself while showing her badge "Detective Kate Beckett, NYPD. We need to ask you a few questions about a murder that took place earlier tonight "

Hearing this both Alexis and I stand up, she takes the marker from his hand and says "That's new" and I say while looking at the detective "And has beautiful eyes" in a low voice but both dad and Kate hear it but don't react.

Then she tells us that dad will be back in a few hours and not get worried to which both Alexis and I say at the same time "We are more worried about you Ma'am" hearing this she smiles and says "Don't worry about it I carry a gun" and winks at us, to which we just smile.

Our dad listening to this says "Come on guys have some faith in your old man, would ya ??"

"Sure dad. Enjoy" says Alexis as they were leaving.

Then I suddenly remember that he has the car key so I yell at him, "Dad, the car ticket? "

He says "Ohh, I almost forgot" takes the ticket out of his coat pocket and hands it to me, and says "Drive safe kids."

"Sure dad." then both dad and Kate leave the party.

Alexis and I decided to stay for a little longer and see the results of our wager.

After some time of waiting, I get a call so I answer my cell "Hello this is Noah speaking. Who is this??" from the other side I hear someone crying at first I didn't know who it was so I say "Hello?" then I hear the caller say my name and I immediately recognize the voice so I say "Blair... "

Guys this is my first time writing fan fiction and I am new to this as in, just started 3 days ago new I have been a reader all my life and I have read some great fanfics on this site. I welcome all criticisms and ideas that you have of my writing and the story. I will try to learn from all the criticisms and improve myself as it is one of my major goals through this fanfic.

Just to avoid any confusion in the future this world is a mix of a lot of tv shows from the mid-2000s and currently, the MC has interacted with 2 tv worlds - Castle ( MC remembers most of the plot) and Gossip Girl remembers bits and pieces). He doesn't know what other worlds there are nor does he know all about the shows and the things that happen in them, he doesn't even know the name of some. I plan to add a certain teen drama into the story as it progresses (but I don't think that's gonna happen in the first 15 chapters.) but the rest is all up to you and your recommendations (but please keep in mind that it will take time to integrate the worlds also some worlds can only make cameo appearances so that the main story doesn't get affected.). This will not be a harem that is non-negotiable.
