It was a long day for akemi, her body and mind are exhausted, she is battered and bruised, the one who did it to her was no one but her senpai, Hirayama Rin, strangely enough she didn't feel animosity or hatred towards her, only gratitude.... after all rin does all of that to make her realize how wrong she was

The taxi that she rides stopped in front of her house, she then exit the taxi and opens the door to her house

'I'm home' she speaks as she take off her shoes

But no one answers, her mom isn't home, she's in Kiichiro's apartment, Akemi then walks into the dining room and see a meal already prepared for her, and it was awful, a cold lump of rice and soggy pieces of Egg rolls with stale veggies

After Kiichiro make akemi and her mom his woman, this is usually how things in her house, her mom used to greet her with warm smile, a hug, and a hearty meal to fill her belly, then akemi will tell her mom about her experience in the school, and they will chat for quite a long time like a mother and daughter

But now her mom is almost always in Kiichiro place when the time she comes home,her relationship with her mom reduced to no more like they are acquaintances, they often meet in Kiichiro house rather than in their own house

'This kind of food again..... fortunately katsuo kun gave me a meal, so I'm not really hungry' she mumbled

She then sighs and prepared to take a bath, her skin feels painful when it touch the warm bathwater, she can't help but think about her life

It's like her eyes been opened, she finally realized how her relationship with kiichiro although exciting and satisfying for her, makes her life more miserable and lonely

After done dressing she then goes to her room, she sits on her bed and her mind reminiscing all the things that happened in this room

Akemi goes to the bed and hugs that plushie tight, she reminisce all the happy memory with katsuo, how katsuo always there for her, cheering her during her match, comforting her when she lost, hugging her when something bad happened to her, and holding her tight when she cries, he did all of that without complaining, without asking for gratitude,he never gets angry at her, and always do his best to make her smile, all of that she taken for granted, he was always there for her, from the moment of childhood he was always there, akemi remember that katsuo promised one day he will marry her and she promised to be his wife one day, she realized until her eventual betrayal, katsuo was her one true love

She then cries and cries with her heart out while keep asking for forgiveness, forgiveness that she knows she isn't worthy for, forgiveness that she knew she didn't deserve....

Suddenly her phone rings, it was a message and she reads it

(Hey babe, how are you doing? are you home yet?, rei said to me you're dragged by hirayama-senpai, are you okay?)

it is kiichiro, he worries about her, not because he loved her, but because he's afraid to lost his favorite toy

And with that akemi then practice her karate katas inside her room, she do it again and again to make her body remember, it was tiring, exhausting, but the joy she felt is genuine, she reminded of how much she loves karate, a martial arts that connects her with a lot of people, she practiced for hours until she inevitably fall down in exhaustion, but satisfied, she smiles and scream with happiness, this is what she has been missing all the time

She then climbed her bed and take the white rabbit plushie, she place the rabbit head on her forhead and she make a solemn vow for herself

'Katsuo kun, i know that you can't hear me, but it's okay, i want to say thank you, thank you for all the things that you've done for me, you give me strength during my dark times,you protected me even when i do bad things to you, so i promised you katsuo kun, this time it's my turn, i will be your strength whenever you are down and shield from all the things that harms you, i will regain your trust and your forgiveness no matter how hard it is, no matter what kind of punishment i will have, no matter how much you reject me, no matter how much it hurts me, i won't back down, i will become your guardian, your guiding light, i will become whatever you need me to be, until one day i can proudly walk together with you again, that is my promise'

Akemi then kisses the plushie forhead and hugs it, she then falls into her slumber with a radiant smile.....

-KATSUO POV-

Crap.... did someone just talk shit about me?
