Out of control - finale

SAME WARNING AS PREVIOUS CHAPTER

----------------------------

In front of the New Magician Research Institute, were standing two guards. Standing in front of the main door, they were looking around the area to make sure nothing was out of order.

"You know, I don't know why they even hired us… I mean, the Institute itself is so far away from any city, and with the hundreds of warning signs along the way, I don't think anyone would try to enter here anyways," said the guard on the left, turning to look at his partner.

"Shh. No talking while on duty," replied the guard on the right, who looked extremely focused on his job and was constantly scanning around.

"Oh come on, you and I both know nobody is going to come here," but even though he said that, he started to look around again.

"Are you sure? What if someone does come?"

"Ha! Imposs- wait! Who're you?!" he shouted as he turned around and saw a face that was not his partners.

"Ehh, A rank BS magicians who specialize in shield and attack magic huh? Too wasteful for just guarding the gate eh? Rohan, Devansh? What do you think?" said the boy who suddenly appeared behind the guards. A boy who would have been a handsome boy, with beautiful heterochromatic eyes and a handsome face, if he were not drenched in blood from head to toe..

"Ho-how do you know our names? Who are you?!" asked Rohan, the guard on the left, as both he and Devansh jumped away from the boy and got into a combat ready position. Each of them instantly cast their magic, with Rohan kneeling on one knee and propping up a shield while Devansh hid behind him and created a gun using ice magic and pointed it towards the boy.

"Oh come on! You don't know me?! Even though I specifically made a note to remember your names! I'm so hurt…."

"Wait, Rohan, isn't that the research subject that went missing? What was his name… Alaukik? Isn't this the dangerous subject we were supposed to be aware of?" whispered Devansh in Rohan's ear.

"Yes! Thank you! So you do know me! That makes this so much easier! So listen, I'm gonna need you to do me a favor ok? Please? I'd like you to leave this world for well… forever? I'd be really grateful if you could do me that favor," said a madly smiling Alaukik.

Of course, before they could reply to his request, he faced his palms towards each other, and just clapped them slowly. As he slowly moved his palms closer to each other, the space beside the two guards started collapsing against each other, and crushed the two between it into paste….

'Hmmm, well, I guess this is also a good trick to use whenever I'm feeling lazy… I guess I should inform the RC that there's no point in keeping such expensive guards, they're useless… but I guess there will be no need for guards in the near future.'

"Oh right!" Alaukik said just as he was about to turn his back to the … remains of the guards behind him,

"I never met you before today, so as for how I know your names, well.. Apart from the ID card on your chest, hmm, let's just say I know everything in this world! Sorry for lying to you!" he said, sticking out his tongue and folding his hands together.

Doing that, he then pushed open the doors to the Research Institute.

"I'm home!" he said as he slowly walked in with heavy, bloody steps.

Looking around, he sighed,

"Why is no one coming to greet me? I feel so hurt," he said with a sad expression on his face,

"What punishment should I penalize them with? Hmmm, I think I'll go with execution, of course, I'll make sure to not hurt them," he said, with that crazy smile on his face again.

Stopping for a moment, Alaukik closed his right eye and focused on his surroundings using his left one, and as it grew brighter,

"Aha! Found everyone!" he said, as he looked around himself. Using his left eye, he gazed at the fabric of space, and pin-pointed where each person was, and as he did, he immediately teleported towards the ones closest to him, a pair of male and female researchers who were taking a break in the coffee room.

"Che che, don't you know that taking a break is not allowed during working hours?" whispered Alaukik, in their ears.

"Who are y-" started the young woman, but before she could complete it, *swish* her head went flying off her shoulders and landed inside the coffee grinder, which started to move at the same time, and in just a few seconds, the woman's head was turned into gross looking liquid. Seeing this, Alaukik grinned and said,

"That's one strong grinder huh," while the young man beside the woman still couldn't comprehend what had just happened. As he gazed at the location where his co-worker's head should have been, he kept trying to process what he just witnessed. But before he could push his brain further, *squish* came the sound of his body being squeezed into a ball..

As Alaukik unclenched his fist, he thought,

'Yup, I think squashing them is indeed better than slicing them.. Spares me the effort to.'

And with that happy thought, he went on to massacre the other members of the Institute.. Until

"Ooh? Who do we have here? Isn't it our three Heads? Why are you all gathering here together 'sirs' ?" he said as he appeared in front of them.

"Hu- Alaukik?! Why are you here? NO, ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-how do you have your eyes back?" asked Anand, while the other two, Habib and Arvind just stared at Alaukik in pure and utter shock. Gazing at the Alaukik in front of them, who was covered in blood, guts, and various other parts of the human body and smelled equally disgusting, they tried pinching themselves to check if they were dreaming or not, unfortunately for them, this was no dream…

"My eyes?! Ah, these ones? Indeed you must be wondering how I got them back after you took them from me eh? I still remember that.. I had just recovered after losing control from that meteor fall, and your men immediately jumped me and captured me. And after that, ohhhh, just remembering it sets my heart on fire… but I'll bear with it for a while, after all, I want to see it.. The expression on your face as I rip out your eyes as you did mine… And this time, I will let you experience every second of pain carefully," said Alaukik, with a grim look on his face.

As he finished, Alaukik's right eye started to glow a bright silver and instantly, the speed of the three heads in front of him exponentially slowed down, uptil the point where it looked like time wasn't even moving for them. And as they reached this point, Alaukik slowly curved his palms and made a scooping action towards the heads, and as he gazed at them, their eyes slowly started to pop out of their eyeballs. As they did, the expressions of the three turned into one's of extreme pain… This state lasted for a while, until finally, their eyes completely came out of their eyeballs, and Alaukik stopped slowing down their time.

However, even though he had stopped slowing down time, the three heads no longer made any noise, in fact, if you looked closely, you would realize that they were no longer breathing even. It seemed they had died in the middle due to the excruciating pain.

Holding three pairs of gooey eyes in his hands, Alaukik muttered,

"Tch, they couldn't even last for that long.. *Sigh* I guess the time has come to finish the final dish… how I wished this feast lasted longer.." and yet, his face belied anything but sadness.

In a corner of the Institute was a small room, inside which was a young man lying on the ground and gazing up at the ceiling blankly.

'I should've stopped him… who knows where he is by now, what if he is stuck somewhere? Or if he lost his way? What if he can't find any food? It's all my fault, mine…'

"Hello Dev. How're you doing?" came a cheery voice from outside the door to the room.

Hearing the voice, the young man, Devendra felt like he was injected with adrenaline, as he immediately jumped up and rushed towards the door.

"Alaukik? Is that you? That must be you right? Are you alright?! But- no, why did you come back?! You should have stayed away from here, Alaukik! This place is not good for you. Don't you know that the people here don't treat you like a human?" he exclaimed as he tried to open the door, and yet

"Don't, don't open the door Dev. You don't want to see me right now." came Alaukik's reply.

"What nonsense are you talking about? I'm your caretaker, remember? I'm the person you can tell anything to," replied Devendra as he pulled the door open wide, but what he saw beyond it, was enough to send him into shock in an instant…

For beyond the door, there stood a child covered in blood from head to toe. So drenched that even his hair looked blood red, while no part of his body was untouched. He was standing there with his hand outstretched towards the door, with an extremely painful expression on his face.

Immediately, without a care for all the blood Alaukik was covered in, Devendra rushed to him and gave him a tight hug,

"I don't know what happened Alaukik, but what I want you to know is that I'm always here for you. Remember, your big-brother Dev is always there for you, anytime, anywhere."

"And that's what I want to make impossible," came Alaukik's reply, and with that, Devendra felt a sharp pain in his chest, and as he looked down, he saw a bloody sword going through his chest, with the helm held by none other than Alaukik…

Looking up at Alaukik's face, Devendra saw a completely different face from before. A pair of glowing gold and silver eyes, with an expression that screamed how happy the person was, and immediately,

"No, you're - *cough* you're not Alaukik… you're someone else…"

"Hah!" fake Alaukik replied, as he pulled out the sword in Devendra's chest, and watched him fall to the ground,

"To think the one who realized it would be a measly trainee researcher, you should feel honored Devendra, for you figured out something which even he will not be able to figure out," and with that, fake Alaukik slowly closed his eyes, and suddenly collapsed on the ground.

Barely a second later, Alaukik's body sat up again, but this time, he didn't open his eyes, instead, he held his head as if in pain, and that's when he heard a voice,

"Alaukik? Is that you?"

"Dev? Dev? You're here?" replied Alaukik as he opened his domain, but when he saw Dev and felt the blood all on him, he felt pain coursing through his heart like it never had. Instantly, he teleported to Devendra's side and held his hand,

"Dev, who, tell me, who did this to you? I'll kill them, I swear, I'll kill them!"

"I don't think I have much time Alaukik, just remember these words of mine. It was not you Alaukik, remember, it was not you."

And with these last few words, Devendra slowly collapsed in Alaukik's arms.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" came a heart-wrenching scream from Alaukik's mouth.

However, although Alaukik did not notice anything, right as Devendra collapsed into his arms, his body started shining bright silver…

Damnnn this chapter took me so loong to write. I wanted it to be as perfect as I can make it, so I spent like hours on this.. even though I don't really have the time for this. Gotta have to study too... meh, I'll do that tommorow. It's a weekend anyway. Might also edit this chapter later if I think I can make it better...

To be honest, I wanted to kill Devendra, but then I was like... do I kill the one side-character that I developed and featured more than anyone else? And I finally decided on something else.. but anyways, that's for another chapter!

I also find it hard to believe that I was able to code 1000+ words three days in a row, and hope that continues longer.

And with that, I believe this chapter concludes the introduction to the novel.

Thanks for reading till now! And I hope for your continued support! Add og supporter names.

:)

edit: I'm back! Was in the train yesterday, so sorry for no chapter. But for now, this might become the normal.. one chapter every two days.. cause like I said last time, I'm running low of draft chapters, so I'm gonna need to write more. But hopefully after this week, I'll be all caught up. Big hopefully.
