Departure

Eadric's sneer greeted Grait as he arrived, "Can't believe you are back," he said mockingly.

"I'm sorry for keeping the young masters waiting," Grait apologized.

"No need to apologize. We permitted you to wander," Eadric said, absolving him of guilt.

"Thank you for your kindness," Grait bowed down and expressed his gratitude.

As they engaged in casual conversation, time passed by quickly, and before anyone realized it, it was time for them to depart as night was upon them.

"Young masters, it's time to go," Grait reminded them, noticing that it was getting dark outside.

"What? Already?" Eadric exclaimed in surprise.

"It's true. You should use your eyes," Edith pointed out, attempting to tease him.

"Yea, yea," Eadric imitated her sarcastically.

"Please, young masters, we should get going," Grait urged them, sensing the argument escalating into a quarrel.

Fortunately, they both went quiet, despite their frequent bickering like children. Even though they got along most of the time, they never missed a chance to argue.

Considering that it was a border town with limited infrastructure, their travel options were restricted to either by road or warp gate, making it difficult to travel at night due to the unusual weather of the region.

Eadric's eyes lit up with anticipation as he spoke to Lloyd, "I can't wait to see you there, Lloyd. It's going to be an epic battle."

"I agree. It's going to be an intense battle," Edith chimed in, sharing her excitement.

Grait stroked his chin, contemplating the potential of the fight. "Indeed, it will be quite a spectacle," he said, adding his thoughts.

"I'm looking forward to it as well," Lloyd replied.

Although everyone was eagerly anticipating the fight, Alaya seemed to be the only one who was worried. She couldn't help but wonder how Lloyd would fight against Eadric, who was almost a 4-star aurar.

'I understand your concern, Alaya,'

He noticed the concern on her face, even though it was quite unnoticeable.

Alaya was worried about Lloyd's safety, and her concern was not unfounded. The opponent he was going to face in battle would be a powerful aurar, likely a 4-star or higher, while Lloyd was not even a 1-star eyrir.

The chances of him getting badly injured were high, which concerned her the most.

"Are you ready to leave, young masters?" Grait inquired as they rose from their seats.

They affirmed his question and began making their way out, with Lloyd and Alaya accompanying them to the exit, where a sleek, futuristic limousine awaited them. It seemed straight out of sci-fi movies.

Eadric boasted confidently, "When we meet again, you'll taste defeat in the ring."

Lloyd responded with a calm smile, "Everyone is entitled to dream."

Eadric chuckled and retorted, "Nice joke, Lloyd. We'll see who's laughing in the ring."

"I know, it's not going to be you," Lloyd replied with a smirk.

After exchanging sharp and provoking words between Lloyd and Eadric, Grait gave his wrist a light slap to signal everyone to gather before heading to their car.

All of the warriors in the mansion, about 30 in total, and all 5-star gathered from every corner as soon as Grait signaled. They were not only Aurars but also Mages.

'I can't win... with all of these warriors. I wouldn't be able to protect Lloyd without getting him injured,'

Alaya couldn't help but feel helpless as she clenched her fists, imagining the worst-case scenario. Even with all these skilled warriors, she knew that if something went wrong, she wouldn't be able to handle them all without getting seriously injured.

Finally, Grait entered the car, and as it began to move, the warriors dispersed, and soon enough, the car was out of sight.

"What are your thoughts?"

Lloyd asked for her honest opinion about his chances of winning the fight.

Expressing her candid opinion, she replied, "Realistically, you have no chance of winning."

Acknowledging her statement, Lloyd responded, "I am aware of that, which is why I have you."

Puzzled, she asked, "What do you mean, young master?"

Clarifying his words, Lloyd asked, "Have these years made you forget that you are my teacher?"

Comprehending his request, she smiled and agreed to his proposal. "I understand," she said.

Alaya arranged a meeting for the next day. "Meet me at the training grounds tomorrow morning," she instructed.

Lloyd nodded in agreement, "Naturally."

After their conversation, he made his way to his room and collapsed onto his bed.

He gazed up at the plain white ceiling above him and muttered, "What an exhausting day. It was a wild day, to say the least."

However, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and gratitude. 'Surprisingly, there was an unexpected development in my favor,' he thought to himself.

The events of the day had seemed almost surreal, as if it were a dream. He had received an easy way to get into the main family with ease, which he didn't expect.

He reminded himself, "No matter how unbelievable it may seem, what happened today is 100% real." This new development was a blessing for him as he could now focus on other important matters without the burden of his previous problem weighing him down.

Reflecting on the day's events, he said, "To be completely honest, I was caught off guard by their demeanor. I expected them to be like the arrogant young masters in novels, but they were just normal teenagers."

Upon the twins' arrival at his home, he anticipated their presence to cause more trouble and create unnecessary obstacles. However, upon meeting them in person, he was surprised by their normal attitude.

Realizing how late it was, he stated, "I should head to sleep now as I have to meet Alaya in the morning and learn from her."

Feeling completely drained from the day's events, he promptly fell asleep. Even though he didn't physically train that day, it had still been one of the most exhausting days since he arrived in this foreign world.

I would have posted this chapter yesterday if it wasn't for the nauseating headache yesterday night.
