Dead Larkers

Well, he had taken his stance and begun to infuse aura into the sword, compressing and condensing it. Initially, he had decided to allocate only 20 percent of his total aura.

However, he had a change of heart considering the favorable situation. Since they had already inflicted enough damage upon themselves, it wouldn't be wrong to attempt their extermination when the opportunity presented itself.

In the last few remaining seconds, the sword absorbed aura like a never-ending pot without a bottom. He felt uneasy about it since, no matter how much aura he infused, it didn't seem to fill up. There was no perceptible change. He had almost depleted about 50% of his aura, including the 10% he used to kill the first Lasker.

*Critter* *Critter*

After a few minutes, the effects of the stun grenade disappeared, and they finally noticed the damage they had inflicted on themselves. Some had their legs ripped off, while others had flesh and organs torn, blood gushing from their wounds.

"Resilient bastards!" he cursed in annoyance, a grin forming on his face. Most of them limped and wailed in pain, but that didn't deter them from continuing their attack. They coordinated their movements, leaping at him, which was exactly what he wanted.

His plan was straightforward. He wanted them all to attack at once, and he wouldn't dodge. Why? Technically, not dodging meant a death sentence for him in the face of their assault.

However, that wasn't the case. As they closed in, he would thrust his sword into the closest one and use an aura blast to eliminate it. It was as simple as that. If the blast couldn't kill the remaining Laskers, he would sever them with his sword.

That's why he allocated 1/4 of his aura to a single attack, as it was the deadliest skill in his arsenal. If this attack didn't restrain the users' movements, they could move freely, making it the most explosive and useful offensive skill.

"If they don't perish from it, I can finish them off with my sword," he thought.

He believed the ensuing blast should be sufficient to instantly kill them. Even if things didn't go as planned, it should still be enough to blast off their limbs and flesh, essentially causing their demise.

For this reason, he didn't expend all of his aura because if they didn't succumb to the attack, he could always use his sword to finish the job.

He had no concerns about being attacked from behind by other Larkers, as they were blocked off by a stacked-up pile of train cabins.

As they entered his range, he raised his sword and pierced the neck of the unfortunate Larker in the middle of the horde. It entered through the adam's apple and cleanly exited through the nape of his neck without touching a single bone, providing him a painless death.

The Lasker ended up on his sword like a kebab on a skewer.

*Boom*

As soon as it exited its neck, he initiated the aura blast, creating a deafening sound that would have ruptured anyone's ears within its radius.

*Thud*

The blast instantly killed off most of them as bone fragments from the Larker's carcass shot out, causing the demise of the remaining Larkers, their bodies falling lifeless.

Only a few survived, their damaged bodies ruptured, with parts of their body instantly causing fatal injuries. They would succumb in a few hours as they bled internally and externally, their organs beyond repair.

If he had shown them mercy, they would die on their own soon enough. However, he wasn't the kind of person to extend mercy to those who held the sword over his neck, ready to kill him.

"Goodbye," he uttered his final farewell to the two remaining Laskers, delivering it in a tone that expressed his desire not to encounter them again.

The two surviving Laskers remained on the ground in their pathetic condition, their wounds creating a puddle of blood. Panting, they counted their last breaths with each passing second.

In a state of misery compared to their companions who died instantly from blasts, the surviving Laskers had bones that had punctured their hearts and brains, granting them an instant and painless death.

"You pathetic shits ruined my peaceful journey," he vented his anger by kicking one of the Laskers after his journey was disrupted by them.

*Grrhhh* It groaned in pain.

He relished in its wail of pain, continuing to kick it multiple times in a row. His actions weren't driven by a desire for vengeance for the people who died in the incident; he simply enjoyed it.

Rie observed it all, growing disgusted by his behavior as she witnessed a wide sadistic smile etched on the edges of his lips.

Although he didn't speak or express many emotions, that unintentional smile on his face told the whole story – he was thoroughly enjoying it.

"Let's put an end to your misery," he uttered disinterestedly after growing bored of playing with it.

After indulging in a session of torment, he ultimately decided to terminate its misery, finally ending the repetitive cycle of kicks.

*Crack*

He lifted his leg and placed his foot on its neck, slowly applying pressure until its bones crushed, and blood squeezed out, ending its life in the process. When he finished, he noticed the hem of his pants was painted red.

"Not feeling angry anymore? Don't want to kill me?" he asked, staring into its eyes like death, causing it to squirm in fear.

Fortunately, he grew bored with the previous method, choosing to swiftly and cleanly end the second one's life with his sword.

"Wait! These dead bodies? I killed all of them!" He exclaimed in shock when the realization hit him. He couldn't believe he had managed to eliminate all of them without sustaining significant injuries. The only visible damage he received was minor scratches on the side of his traps when he dodged attacks from behind. That's the only visible injury he got throughout the fight.

Ummmm... Let me tell. Laskers is also a name of Larkers. You can either call them Larkers or Laskers they are both correct. Laskers was actually a typo but I sounded much better than Larkers so I kept it and also I was to Lazy to edit it out.
