3 An Elf, But Sized-A

When Xia Mi reappeared, he was in a forest that showed signs of a massive battle. Most of the trees had been burned, leaving only their roots. The ground was charred, with ashes turning into mud.

Not far from the forest stood the Demon King's castle.

The castle, once mighty, was now in ruins, with broken tiles and bricks scattered around.

With the Demon King's defeat, numerous demons had also perished.

After the complete annihilation of the Demon King, the castle rapidly transformed into a tourist attraction.

As Xia Mi approached the castle, he encountered people in diverse attire.

"Popcorn!"

"Anyone need a guide?"

"Speaking of the day when the hero battled the Demon King..."

Xia Mi activated his passive skill [Demon King's Detection]. With conscious probing, he could see the identities of the people around him.

[A Low-Level Storyteller]

[A Snack Vendor]

[A Scamming Guide Who's Been Here for Only Three Days]

For more detailed information, he'd need to touch them.

"The Demon King's castle really has lost all its grandeur," Xia Mi murmured as he noticed people everywhere with recording crystals, taking pictures and videos. He bought the latest map from a vendor.

The Demon King's castle was located three thousand kilometers to the east of the Phis Kingdom.

The visitors who arrived here had come through the teleportation portals from various kingdoms.

After purchasing an entrance ticket, Xia Mi entered the castle. Not long after, he heard a commotion.

"Look, an elf!"

Xia Mi glanced in the direction of the voices and indeed saw a blonde, pointy-eared elf maiden.

Even though elves were friendly with humans, there weren't many of them, and they were considered noble. Only in large cities like the capital would one spot them.

Seeing an elf here was indeed a rare sight.

Xia Mi took a quick look. She was undeniably beautiful.

The elf maiden appeared to be in her late twenties, about 1.6 meters tall, with the signature curly golden hair of her race. Her pointed ears, flawless face, and delicate skin were captivating. She wore a dress unique to elves, showcasing her slender legs and svelte figure.

Alas, her twin peaks were only sized-A.

Losing interest, Xia Mi quickly moved on.

Lureia Yuzer Elga, the elf, looked at the Demon King's castle with excitement and scampered inside.

Is this really the Demon King's castle?

Just imagining the epic battle between the Demon King and the heroes was enough to send shivers down her spine!

Elves could also become heroes, but that had nothing to do with her now.

Yesterday, during the elf's magical power test, her magic was measured to be at level three by the probing stone. This meant she had no chance of becoming a hero.

She'd likely end up as an ordinary stunning elf, married off to a prince from a large human kingdom, leading a life of luxury, indulgence, and oblivion.

The thought made Lureia tear up.

While such a life wouldn't be terrible, she yearned to prove herself, to become a hero, to defeat the damned Demon King!

So, when she heard that the heir to the Demon King had returned, she escaped from the Elven Forest and arrived at the ruined castle.

She wasn't here just for sightseeing.

The old Demon King had been defeated not too long ago. While there were no monsters in the castle now, she believed that hidden treasures left by the old Demon King must still be present.

Dwarves had books that passed down their craftsmanship, so she couldn't believe that the lineage of Demon Kings wouldn't have some form of inheritance.

Each time a Demon King died, the next one would start from scratch. But how could they always end up becoming super demons that all races had to unite against?

It made no sense!

There must be items of inheritance for the Demon King!

The new heir to the Demon King would surely come here to claim these treasures.

Armed with knowledge from the Elven Library, Lureia was determined. "New heir to the Demon King, I'm here in your old haunt, the Demon King's castle, ready to catch you. Show yourself if you're wise!"

With fists clenched and determination in her eyes, the blonde elf ventured deeper into the castle, aiming to catch the new Demon King while he was still vulnerable.

Xia Mi, meanwhile, moved further into the castle's depths. He eventually reached the underground level, where the items he needed were located on the second basement floor.

The map he bought only showed up to the first basement floor, suggesting that the second floor might have been overlooked.

The first underground level was less crowded, with most visitors there out of curiosity. Xia Mi slowly made his way to the deepest part, where he found a concealed door in the ordinary brick wall.

Ensuring no one was watching, he pushed open the door.

A winding staircase led even deeper underground. Candle sconces on the walls emitted a faint glow.

Soon after Xia Mi entered, the door opened again, and the sneaky blonde elf followed him.

At the bottom of the stairs was a seemingly bottomless abyss. In the center stood a meteorite platform, held by thick chains connected to the surrounding cliffs. A stone pathway stretched from Xia Mi's feet to the platform.

It felt like a scene straight out of a game.

Xia Mi tested the sturdiness of the pathway before walking onto the platform.

On the platform was a beautifully adorned ritual table with three items on it.

As he reached out to touch them, the table emitted a bright light, which coalesced above it, eventually forming a humanoid shape.

A Demon King with two long horns appeared amidst the light. Dressed in majestic attire that fluttered without wind, his face showed signs of excess and weariness. He gazed somberly upward.

"Heir to the Demon King, I am Luwaka, the Demon King. By the time you see this message, I will have been defeated by the hero and will no longer be of this world."

"All that I built for the demon race has been destroyed by those accursed heroes."

"But the lineage of the Demon King will not end. The power of the Demon King will guide you to me and to the three legacy artifacts of the demon race. Take them and usher in a new era of prosperity for our kind."

Xia Mi examined the three items on the table: from left to right, there was a projection of the Demon King's castle made of dark light, a simple-looking ring, and a book.

[Name: Heart of the Demon King's Castle]

[Description: Every Demon King's castle was built using this core.]

[Name: Demon King's Ring]

[Description: A ring with extraordinary spatial storage capabilities.]

[Name: Monster Codex]

[Description: A guidebook containing records of all monsters. Essential for building the Demon King's army.]

So, these were the items he needed for his main quest.

Xia Mi wore the Demon King's Ring.

Quite user-friendly.

Ignoring the notification for now, Xia Mi stored the Monster Codex and the Heart of the Demon King's Castle inside the Demon Ring.

It seemed there were other items stored inside the ring, but Xia Mi didn't have time to check.

With the items in hand, his next destination was the beginner's village.

That was the safest place for him right now.
