This will be a short but necessary chapter.
Some time ago, unsettling rumors circulated about a rebellion brewing in the shadows of the Kurohana clan. Now, with Naobito Kurohana, the clan leader, lying in a coma and tension reigning among its members, the time had come.
The Kurohana clan, renowned for both their shinobi prowess and their ties to commerce, had a peculiarity in their family structure. Despite their hierarchy being based on ninja talent, those who lacked shinobi skills were treated as equals due to their valuable economic contributions. However, not everyone in the clan enjoyed such respect.
Under the leadership of Noritoshi Kurohana, Naobito's predecessor, a branch of the family was condemned to ostracism: the bearers of the "Heavenly Restriction." These individuals were born with special gifts but always at a high cost. Some possessed extraordinary physiques in exchange for having no chakra, while others had astonishing chakra reserves at the expense of physical weakness. Although they promised unique potential, they were marginalized for not fitting the clan's conventional standards.
Over the years, this exclusion turned into abuse. The bearers of the "Heavenly Restriction" were degraded to slaves, used as tools, exploited, and stripped of all dignity. However, that time of submission was coming to an end...
...
Yaohiko Kurohana was a man who embodied hatred for his own clan. He despised not only his surname and history but also his incomplete body, a symbol of the restriction that chained him. His hatred had deep and personal roots.
Yaohiko had a twin sister, a rarity that was considered a bad omen in the Kurohana clan. From their birth, his family was condemned to disgrace. His parents, once prominent figures in the clan, fell into contempt and humiliation. The birth of twins was a social sentence, a reason to try to eliminate them. In an attempt to erase the shame, the twins were sentenced to death, but the guards intervened at the last moment—or so they thought...
Yaohiko's resentment and despair turned him into the leader of a silent rebellion. For years, he worked to gather the clan's outcasts, strengthening their determination and their hatred. When a mysterious hooded man offered him information about a newborn baby—a child who represented a blessing to the clan—he saw his chance. Killing that baby would send a message.
...
Taking advantage of a massive chakra outburst that marked Naobito's absence while the village appeared to be under attack, Yaohiko executed his plan. Using his blessing, which was also a curse—chakra tracking at the cost of his unique physique—he infiltrated the baby's quarters. Without mercy, he committed the murder, knowing the chaos it would unleash would serve his purpose.
The baby's lifeless body was discovered hours later. Though Yaohiko tried to conceal his presence, he couldn't escape. He was captured before he could flee. Chained and facing certain death, he showed no remorse. He knew his sister would pay the price. They would likely curse his lineage, condemning any future descendants to bear curses that would prevent them from living normal lives. But he had no regrets. He had acted out of vengeance, and his sacrifice was a final act of defiance against the clan he so despised.
...
The great hall of the clan was packed. The most powerful figures of the Kurohana clan gathered around Yaohiko, who was on his knees, chained, with a steady, fearless gaze. The torches cast long shadows on the walls, while an oppressive silence filled the room.
"Do you know what you've done?" roared one of the elders. His voice thundered like a storm, filled with fury.
"Of course," Yaohiko replied, his voice firm, almost mocking. "I killed your 'blessing'—the one you worked so hard to hide. That baby with sacred eyes in whom you placed all your faith is now dead."
A low, sadistic laugh escaped his lips before he continued.
"Isn't it ironic that a chakra-less monkey like me eliminated your hope?" His smile declared his delight at the unfolding events.
The audience erupted into murmurs. Some shouted insults, others demanded a slow death for the traitor. Hiruzen, the Hokage—who wasn't supposed to be in the room but, due to the apparent betrayal of a Kurohana clan member, had grown suspicious of the clan's activities—stood in a corner, observing. Still feeling the effects of his battle, having lost an arm and an eye, he maintained a neutral posture. His expression was inscrutable.
"You will pay with your life," said another elder. "But not before we curse your lineage. No descendant of your blood will ever know peace in this life!!!"
"Cursed? We were cursed long before I was born. I've simply returned the favor." Yaohiko laughed coldly and calmly as he looked at the clan's foolish members.
The executioner's blade fell on his head as Yaohiko closed his eyes, ceasing to feel everything around him—from his body to the very air itself.
