"Ugh what the fuck just now I had this weird dream where I was reincarnated in a fantasy world of vampires.... " Rayne said out loud but then stopped as he looked around himself before making an O face then he looked down at himself and checked his chest region but there was no damage to the cloth it seemed as if the clothes were never impaled along with him. If not for the pain and sweet taste of blood lingering in his mouth he would have thought that him being impaled by the spear was all a dream.

Rayne instead of taking of his clothes like normal decided to store them in his inventory and once again the coat, vest and undershirt got disolved into motes of light, and there it was a nasty pink scar on his chest it seemed as if it was still healing.

'From the look of it I seem to have sustained a lung injury maybe in the lower lobes of it, if it was a little bit to the right side by heart would have been punctured but the main question is how did I survive the fall even though I had fell into some kind of water body then also i think i shouldn't be complaining about this sort of things I am absolutely ignore that my clothes are perfect fine even though I have been impaled sigh.'

As Rayne looked up he saw was entranced by the beauty of the marvellous sky it was filled with stars of various colours, he looked determined once again to escape the pit before starting his climb his system said something.

[Sir, it is recommended that you eat the fasting pill it would help you to recover faster and also would you like to enable loot highlight.]

'Damn now that I remember I never got the time to properly inspect the blood replenishing pill but whatever it is a good thing that I survived.'

Rayne summoned the pills and immediately ate it. After eating it he felt a warm sensation through out his body and after a couple of minutes he was once again full of vigour and strength.

'I never thought that I would be able to heal like this just from a fasting pill but it is understandable, it is a pellet with all the nutritional values that a average human would need in his day to day life, but anyone with fast metabolism and a healing factor would be able to experience it's full power such as accelerated healing and a stamina boost,' Rayne thought.

Even though he wants to escape this place then also he said yes because he has this feeling that if he doesn't say it now he will regret it later.

"Okay Grace enable loot highlight," this time Rayne said out loud.

Suddenly like a beacon several small light pillar appeared showing the spots of various loot drop which he presume is mostly the human who had fell to their death but again he was interrupted by his system.

[Sir, i would like you to look up.]

"And why I should look up?" Rayne asked.

[Just look up sir.] This time it seemed as if the system was struggling to speak.

"Ok I understand," Rayne said feeling concerned.

As Rayne looked up he froze he was sweating profusely a chill went down his spine, his whole being was screaming at him to move to look away yet he could not it was like he was frozen and immediately all that was gone the loot highlight function of the system was turned off but he could still now feel that the thing was watching him with curiosity in it's eyes. He turned around on his heel and slowly started to walk away from that particular entrance of the pit. After walking away from there he came to a stop, the water was knee high and it was extremely gross because the water itself was crimson with the pungent smell of stale blood so he immediately summoned his hat and clothes, he particularly wanted to summon his hat because it came with some kind of mask combo which could block this smell. He decided to start collecting the item drop from this place before exploring the cave in front of him and possibly finding a way out because what ever it takes he wouldn't even try to exit from the pit he has fallen from.

'Fuck what the fuck was that creature it was so gross, hideous just thinking about it is making me want to vomit.'

'Yeah that is what I was trying to mean and just tell me what was that.'

[Well it is a creature at the rank of great one if I am not wrong then it is called the curious one and a point to be noted it is only one third part of the actual being.]

'That thing is only one third and it was releasing such an immense amount of pressure.'

[Yeah after all it is at a rank above the transcendent and if I was not shielding your mind 24/7 you would have gone mad and mutated into some kind of horrible eldritch creature. ]

'Fuck my life is hell,' Rayne thought extremely frustrated.

He again activated loot highlight but this time he didn't looked it's way and started to collect loots from all the dead body as well as crates that had fallen along with carriages.

As he transversed the crimson river which he started to call it after the first hour of staying here, he had collected a lot of loots during this first hour but the loot he liked the most was the one he obtained from some kind of martial arts master, he was still alive when he found him but his eyes looked devoid of any life if not for the breathing he would have thought that the man was dead but of course it was not true, the person was suffering from wound he had sustained from the fall and was dying slowly, so he showed the guy mercy by carefully cleaning the neck with his rag clothes before biting and draining him of all the blood that was left effectively killing him and also satisfying his curiosity of blood drinking, as he was drinking blood for the first time a warm sensation spread throughout his body,it felt as his body was filled with energy to the brim, it was really an addictive experience. 'Hum, I really wonder how does blood of a young maiden taste isn't it one of the main plot of vampire movies,' Rayne thought.

After killing the man a system message appeared.

He looked at the man with wide eyes 'This man... this ma...this man was an ascended then why didn't he healed himself ?' Rayne sounded confused but then as if coming to a horrifying realisation he shivered.

'Don't tell me it is that creatures fault what a horrible nightmare is this.' Rayne at that time felt like he was playing tug of war between life and death, it felt as if he were to loosen his grip a little bit it would mean inevitable death.

Sighing, Rayne looked at the last message that he received.

Back to the present only a few minutes have passes since Rayne killed the man named Servix and right now his system was informing him something about the new books that he got.

[Congratulations! Sir you have gained your first consumable skill book would you like to learn it right now only or later.]

'Both are techniques so there isn't really a issue with learning them and most important of all I will be able to use the sword, I still need to see the content of the destroyed book later maybe it has something,' Rayne thought.

"Ok yes, I wish to learn both the skill books," Rayne said.

As soon as he spoke both the books vanished from his inventory and rush of new found knowledge entered his mind, the knowledge how to properly wield a katana and effective way to use it along with the nine echoing punch but this one was a little different because it requires soul essence to even use it and oddly enough in this world the soul essence is called spiritual qi which made Rayne almost laugh because when he thought about it, the name of skill he received along with the terminology of soul essence of this world it reminded him of all the wuxia and xinxia novels he read.

'Sigh, those were some good old days a life without all this risk but always staying in the comfort of house' Rayne thought.

As Rayne made his way through the cave filled with the crimson fluid he would occasionally spot piles of bones along with elevated land probably made of decomposed human body parts as well as mud it sent shiver down his spine just to think what kind of horrible creatures lurk this place, it would have been great if he had some kind of fire torch then whatever creature haunt this place wouldn't dare to approach him due to their high sensitivity towards light.

'Damn never thought this clothes were waterproof,' Rayne thought as he lied on an elevated ground it looked more like a island made up of one solid stone that he found as he followed the underground crimson river in hopes of finding an exit.

His hope was still there because he had found an ancient map inside some kind of journal which he thinks belongs to a miner, which in turn actually activated the map function of his system and it showed that that the cave system he was following right now would lead him to an underground pit and from there he would continue to follow the path, as he was thinking about his escape he heard a gurgling sound which caused Rayne to become alerted he quickly stood up.

From the water a figure emerged shiny and slippery, with fine-like ridges on its backs, and webbed feets and hands. It heads appearing fish- or frog-like, with prodigious bulging eyes and wide, thin-lipped mouths possessing shark-like teeth. It was truly a nightmarish creature.
