16 A Wounded Symbol of Peace
Four months had passed since Keis match with Shoto.
During this time, Kei had been working on a new training method.
This training was different from the one kei had been doing previously. The name of this training method was merging.
This training was Kei trying to merge himself with the elements around him.
Becoming one with the earth or even the wind around him. This would give Kei a great advantage when going up against future villains.
The only problem at the moment was that the idea of doing it, was much easier than actually accomplishing it.
This gave Kei a huge headache when trying this training method. He had already spent two months and had no results.
'There must be a way to do it, I can feel that i am closing in on the method' thought Kei as he once again failed to merge with the earth around him.
Kei, who had the ability [Nature] always felt in tune with the elements around him. It was to the point that his very being was telling him 'you can go farther than just controlling'.
Whenever that feeling came to his mind. Kei would think up ways to merge. Sadly, as of yet there was no progress.
Once Kei saw how difficult it would be. He decided to also put half his training into increasing his power output.
By now, Kei had a near perfect level of control over his earth and fire elements. With this, he would increase the power output while also focusing on maintaining control on that power.

It was now late in the afternoon. Kei and Detective Naomasa had just finished eating dinner.
Since dinner was over, they decided to head to the living room and watch tv while they talked about the things they did today.
While Detective Naomasa told Kei about how uneventful his day had been. Kei on the other hand was telling Detective Naomasa about his failure to merge with the elements around him.
"So you were not able to succeed again this time as well" said Detective Naomasa in a curious tone
"No, I feel like I might be missing something, but I just do not know what it is" said Kei with disappointment on his face
"Well I have been thinking of this, since the day you told me you were starting this sort of training" said Detective Naomasa
"What is it you came up with?" Asked Kei with a sound of curiosity
"Well my thoughts are that maybe you are trying something you are not ready to do yet" said Detective Naomasa
When kei heard what Detective Naomasa said, he could not say anything.
"Listen to me Kei. I know you want to get stronger and learn all sorts of things as quickly as you can. You know I will not stop you, but you should take everything one step at a time. You are only nine years old, you should not be in a hurry to learn such a complex thing like merging" said Detective Naomasa
It was not until Detective Naomasa spoke again that Kei had to agree with Detective Naomasa.
"You are right, I should not be in a rush to learn how to merge myself with the elements. I guess I will just focus on increasing the power and range at the moment" said Kei
Although Kei was reluctant to stop his training on merging. He knew that it was not going to be easy to do at this moment in time.
Since he had gotten zero results so far he might as well focus on other aspects of his training.
"As I remember, shouldn't you put some more focus on martial arts training as well. Didn't Shou beat you in the last three spars that you two had" said Detective Naomasa as he reminded Kei of his lacking skills in hand to hand combat
"Some people are born with different talents. So losing to Shou in martial arts is not surprising. After all you can't be good at everything" said Kei as he started remembering his loss to Shou
During this time Shou had been training relentlessly and had gained major improvements, not only in martial arts, but in weapon combat as well.
Just as Kei had been thinking about that Detective Naomasa spoke to Kei "you know it has been a while since you and I have gone out together. Why don't we go out on Saturday"
When Kei heard that, he agreed that it had been a while since the two had some father son bonding outside of home.
"That sounds good to me, but where should we go" said Kei
"Well, we could go t-"
Just as Detective Naomasa was telling Kei his suggestion on where to go. He heard his phone ring.
When Detective Naomasa saw the number he knew something was not right.
"I am sorry Kei, I need to take this" said Detective Naomasa as he answered the call "Detective Naomasa speaking"
When Detective Naomasa heard what the person on the other end said. His complexion became pale and a look of shock and disbelief was on his face
"Yes, yes, tell me what hospital you took him to and I will be on my way" said Detective Naomasa in a rushed tone
When Kei saw how Detective Naomasa was acting and how panicked he was. Kei knew that one of the events he had been dreading had finally happened.
'All Might and All For One, must have finally fought against each other' thought Kei
Over time, while Kei was training. All Might would come and teach Kei as best as he could. Once he was done with training. Kei, All Might and Detective Naomasa would have dinner together. Once they finished eating dinner, Kei would excuse himself after a while and head to his room.
It was after Kei left to his room, that All Might and Detective Naomasa would have their real conversation. All Might would then tell Detective Naomasa the information on All For One that he found. Little by little, All Might was closing in on All For One.
"Kei, we need to go to the hospital right away" said Detective Naomasa in a rush
"Alright" said Kei as he quickly left with Detective Naomasa to the hospital

Musutafu General Hospital
In a heavily guarded room on the top floor of the hospital. A man was being performed surgery on.
As the surgery was happening surgeons and nurses were hard at work to keep the man alive.
As time went on, it was difficult to say if the man would pull through. The severity of the wound was far too terrible for the average man to survive.
Luckily for the man. The person the surgeons were waiting for showed up. Once the person entered the room. The surgeons, along with the rest of the staff made room for the person.
Once the person was done working on the patient. The surgeons quickly got back to work.

At the same time Detective Naomasa and Kei had finally arrived at the hospital.
Once they both made their way to the waiting area. Kei saw two familiar people already there waiting to hear news on how the surgery was going.
The two people in question were Sasaki Mirai also known as Sir Nighteye and Torino Sorahiko also known as Gran Torino.
When Detective Naomasa saw them he quickly asked "Mirai, how is All Might. Have you heard anything from the surgeons"
"We have not heard anything yet" said Nighteye with a frustrated look on his face
"We were told to be patient, but how do we do that when he was so gravely wounded" said Gran Torino with a worried look on his face
"So, all we can do is wait then" said Detective Naomasa with a sad look on his face
When Kei heard there were no news on All Mights condition. He was not worried, after all he knew that All Might would survive and continue doing hero work until he meets Midoriya Izuku.
When those thoughts were in Keis mind. He noticed Gran Torino and Sir Nighteye staring at him.
"Tsukauchi, who is that kid next to you?" asked Gran Torino
"That is my son, Naomasa Kei" said Detective Naomasa
"To think you brought your son with you" said Gran Torino before he continued "do you not know how much of a secret this has to be kept"
"I know my son well enough" said Detective Naomasa as he looked at Kei and continued to speak "he knows that he needs to keep what is happening here a secret"
"Well, if you say so" said Gran Torino as he looked away from Kei
Just as Gran Torino finished saying that. The door to the room, where All Mights surgery was ongoing. An old woman came out with a tired look on her face. Her name was Shuzenji Chiyo also known as The Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl.
When everyone saw Recovery Girl come out. They immediately started to ask questions.
"Chiyo, tell me how is he?"
"Is the surgery going well?"
"How much longer is it going to take?"
As everyone was blasting away with their questions. Recovery Girl finally got tired of being surrounded and being repeatedly asked the same questions from all the people that were waiting.
"All right, will all of you stop talking, so I can tell you what I know" said Recovery in an irritated voice
"We are sorry, Chiyo, please tell us what you know" said Sir Nighteye in a apologetic voice
"Alright then, first of all the injury he sustained is beyond severe. In my honest opinion, it is a miracle that he is even alive" said Recovery Girl as she continued to speak
The majority of what Revovey Girl said was that, even if he did make it past this surgery. There were still going to be a lot more surgeries to come. Not only that, but the rehabilitation alone would take a few years, as well as the fact that he may not even be able to do hero work anymore.
Of course when Kei heard the part of All Might not working as a hero anymore. He passed that off, since he knew All Might would still do hero work for the next five years, until he meets Midoriya Izuku.
After a couple of hours, the surgery was finally finished. Once the surgeons came out, they let everyone know the first surgery was a success.
The surgeons then told everyone the extent of the damage done to All Mights body as well as what they would need to do next and move on from there.
After hearing from the surgeons that no one would be able to see All Might tonight. Detective Naomasa decided to head home with Kei and come visit All Might in the morning.
As for Gran Torino and Sir Nighteye, as well as a few others that were there. They decided to stay and wait till they were able to see All Might.

Once Kei got home he asked Detective Naomasa if he could go with him in the afternoon to visit All Might.
When Detective Naomasa heard what Kei asked him. He said he would take Kei after school was over.
When Kei heard Detective Naomasa say he would take him. He thanked him and went straight to his room, so he could go to bed. It was already well past midnight and Kei had school in the morning.
Before Kei fell asleep. He began to wonder, how long it would take for All Might to recover enough to fight villains.
'The rest of the heroes will have their work cut out for them' thought Kei before finally falling asleep
