The Nun, the Swordsman, and The Vampire

I was flat on my back. Everything hurt. It had been like this for seven months. Lavenza was a taskmaster without pear. Yoruichi was a sadist looking for results. It was training and learning with breaks to let our bodies adjust to muscle growth. We didn't have the luxury of getting to go to school. Yoruichi had registered us as homeschooling. All we had to do were two standardized tests a year for other schools to track our GPA. I insisted that we go to Kuoh Academy when we reached high school age.

I was being trained in using my magic by Lavenza. She was able to link to my magic from my keyblade and help me learn each spell. As far as devil magic went it came down to the power of imagination. She had me studying art, technology, fiction, and her own spells she could cast with her personas. Yoruichi had been training me in zanjutsu and hakuda. She told me when I was proficient enough with my hakuda and magic she would train me in shunko.

Kuroka focused more on her magic and chakra with the aid of Lavenza. Shirone worked hard on her training of hakuda. She had even managed to learn the flash step. Shirone was most likely the fastest Rook in any peerage. Even Burter of the Ginyu Force might of acknowledged her speed.

Now for the trash panda girl Raphtalia. She was following a similar training regimen to myself. She didn't do much with devil magic beyond the basics. She specialized in light and dark magic. She learned how to make Illusions and some rather effective drak and light blasts. Lavenza was even able to teach her a bit of almighty magic. I swear getting hit with megidoslash hurts. Raphtalia mostly focused on zanjutsu with Yoruichi. Her blade skill grew way faster than my own. 

And here we are again back down of the floor. Raptalia had beaten me in another spar. It was stopping time Lavenza cast a Dia to allow me and Raptalia to get up off the floor. We went to the nearby hot spring to relax and unwind. Yoruichi was already inside completely nude. Raptaila soon got undressed and got in as well.

"It always amazes me that you and Lavenza were able to put this underground training ground together." Ralptalia

"Well me and my late friend Kiskuke made a few of these over the years. So I picked a thing or two up from him." Yoruichi

"You only learned how to do this because you wanted a personal hot spring any wear you go to." I felt the pain in my arms and legs just fade away.

"Ture, ture. I won't deny that was one of the main reasons I learned how to do it. Now let's get down to business. I have learned recently that there have been a building group of vampier hunters near the Tepes family house. I have also found the travel plans for Rias Gremiory stating she will be in the area in three days." Yoruichi

"Welp that lines up with some of my dreams I have had. Any updates on the holy sword project? Do we need to act to save the kids yet?" I asked 

"No yet and Rias won't be in Ireland for another six more months. And if your fore straight is reliable we won't need to interfere before then. But I'm keeping tabs if we need to act earlier." Yoruichi

"So Master Lex what is our plan with House Tepes?" Ralptalia 

"Two children are going to try to run away from House Tepes. They will get intercepted by the vampire hunters. If we do nothing the two children will get separated and the boy will be claimed by Rias Gremory as her first peerage member. Our goal is to make sure they don't get separated. So we are going to be running interference with the vampier hunters to keep them from capturing either of the kids. With luck, they will both get taken in by Rais Gremory." I explained my plan.

"Why don't you just take the two vampier kids in yourself?" Ralptalia asked

"Rias needs the help more than I do and I will receive more summon cards from altering fate so I just plan on using them to fill out the rest of my peerage. For that same reason, I am not getting anyone from the holysword project." Raptalia nodded in response to her question. "So Yoruichi who do you think is ready to go on this mission?"

"Well Lavenza, myself, and you. Shrone and Kuroka are not yet ready for this level of mission. Raptalia will fail to act due to her own mental trauma. We are working on it but I doubt she will be ready for active duty for a few years." Yoruichi 

"I'm sorry Master Lex. That I can't be of more help." Raptalia 

"You alright Raptalia? I can't have you freezing due to poor mental health. If you get hurt because of being filed before your ready then that would fall on my head for having poor judgment as a leader." 

The rest of the evening was spent relaxing.

Nothing ever goes 100% to plan. We made it time to help Gasper and his friend escape. But our sudden arrival spooked Gasper into using his sacred gear Forbidden Balor View stopping time around him and placing him in a highly volatile state. So fun fact I found out. I'm immune to time based powers. Not so fun fact Gasper saw me moving during stopped time as the main threat and went all out attacking me. I had to knock him out. When time resumed Valeri Tepes got shot in the back with a crossbow. The vampire hunters were not happy with our groups interference. I had Yoruichi get the kids to safety by that I mean near enough Rais she would have to be blind not to spot them. It came down to me Lavenza to stop the vampire hunters from finding the kids.

I took my first life and froze. I felt the hot blood on my face. The world seemed to go out of focus for a minute. Seeing my state Lavenza threw me out of the way of combat. I landed 20 feet behind her.

"You fools aren't with my time. This is the end of the line for you. Megidolaon" Lavenza 

I saw a pixie fly out from her book then there was a magical explosion. Explosion might of been to light of a word. It was closer to a magic nuke going off. It shook the ground and atomized buildings. I saw that one of the hunters managed to get behind Lavenza. He had what looked to be a long sword ready to slice my queen in two. I couldn't let that happen. I got back to my feet and fash stepped to end the hunter before he had a chance to harm my queen Lavenza. The hunter blocked my strike. But was unable to block the chainsaw that Lavenza used to put and end to him. Once we were alone I threw up. I felt a bit sick but after a hour I was able to move again.

The two summon cards appeared in my right hand. Well what the fuck. How did saving Gasper's freind change the fate of Asia? Maybe Gasper's friend became her second Bishop. Okay so maybe the lines of fate changed to try to get Asia back into Rias peerage. So that caused her to be cursed transforming her into a beast. Like in Bloodborne… I'm going to hope to Michael that this a one time event and this world isn't going to get invaded by the moonlight presents. I'm not in the mood for some Lovecraftian shit to make it's way to this world. 

"Well you look like you had a blood bath." Yoruichi 

"Ha he eh. So what happend to the vamp kids?" I asked to try to comfrime my thoughts

"They got taken by the little Red. She used both of her Bishops. Then she used a magic cricle to take them to her home in the Underworld. I stoped watching with my hell butterfly after I confirmed they made it somewhere safe." Yoruichi 

"I'm done fixing the area we should be ready to RTC." Lavenza

"Yeah we are going home." I used a corridor of drakness for our way back home. I collapsed in the living room on one of the couches. Yoruichi sat next to my head and started playing with my hair. "Dose it ever get easier." I asked

"It depends on the person. Some just right off killing as a numbers game. Some take joy in the suffering of they're cause to they pery. I view it as a necessary evil that you have to sometimes take anothers life. It will always cause pain to all involved. The killer feels pain and guilt of taking a life. The ones with bonds to victims feel the pain of loss. You always have to keep in mind what are you do it for. If you ever find that you're doing it for kicks you need to stop. That just my thoughts. In some respects it does get easier. You can put off the mental backlash to the end of the fight. But the pain never truly goes away. But it's thought who you fight for that keep you, well you. Now I'm going to wash you off. Your starting to stink." Yoruichi tossed me over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. I felt a smile come to my face. I felt cared for.

Sirzechs Lucifer was having a long day. He finally had his chat with Micheal about what happened to the Shidou family. How their daughter Irina had been taken in by her best friend's family. They were told that her parents got caught up in a gas leak incident. They were still in the beginning of talks about a ture peace treaty when one of the young nuns started screaming in pain as she began a bloody transformation into some giant beast that looked like a between a dire wolf with white dear antlers the size of a doble decker bus. It took both Micheal and Sirzechs Lucifer to knock her out without killing her. Micheal reqested for me to take the beast away while he fixed things in the church. Officaly the young nun was declared dead.

I took the poor girl to Ajuka Beelzebub to see what he could do to help stablize her. He was able to quickly find a solution let the girl transform back and forth between being a beast and being just a human shaped girl. She still had a few parts of her beast form present when she was in human form. The antlers, wolf ears, and tail remained. Adjuka also found that she was the current welder of twilight healing. But now the issui what to do with her. Sirzechs Lucifer came to the decision to see if his little sister might take the poor girl into her preeage. Now all he to do was wait for Rais to come home.

"Big brother I'm back and I have my frist two peerage members!" Rias Gremory 

Well if nothing else his cute little sister Rias was well timed. "And who are your two new friends?" 

"This is Gasper Vladi and the one who is still asleep is Valerie Tepes. They are both former Dampers from Balika." Rias

"Hi M-M-MR Rias bibig brother." Gasper studered out.

"Well it is nice to meet you young man- how did you get all the way behind that vase?" Sirzechs Lucifer

"Gasper has a stand called ZAWORLDO that let's him stop time for 8 seconds." Rias said doing a Dio pose.

"Ah so he has Forbidden Balor View." Sirzechs Lucifer

"Aww can't I have just a little fun >.<" Rias< p>

"Well then I guess I won't show you this cute little girl I found for your peerage then." Sirzechs Lucifer turned his back on his sister.

"Please show me what she looks like!" Rias used a deadly pisce of manipulation tech. The dreaded puppy eyes no jutsu. Sirzechs Lucifer never stood a chance.

What lay in front of Rais was a little blond girl that had white antlers and wolf parts. "She was a nun that suddenly got changed into a beast on tore a church apart. I had to save her before she hurt someone. Adjuka found a way to get her into this somewhat normal state." Sirzechs Lucifer

Rias felt drawn to the girl and reached into evil pieces and took out a Rook. She placed the Rook on Asia's chest. "In the name of Rias Gremory. Asia Aregento hear my command. Rise once more as my demon servant. Rejoice for you have been given a new life. Wake as my healer and clergymen." Rias voice had an old echo to here eyes had become a shade of gray. When she finished reincarnating Asia Rias had a nosebleed. "How did I know her name was Asia Are-?" Rias fainted on the spot. Making Sirzechs really worried.

"I find hard to believe that I have been a different world for a whole year now. There the buildings and cars are all so different. Everything is much more advanced compared to my last world. " Raptalia

"Can't say I can relate to you on that point. The human world looked pretty much the same as it did in my world. It's odd to me that I haven't seen so much as a hollow around." Yoruichi

"Lavenza your making too much again." Raptalia 

"Oh sorry, my error. I'm still not used to Kuroka and Shirone being gone. They have only been gone two weeks for their training in Kyoto but I'm still off on portions." Lazenza continued to stir the curry she was making. "And we're not getting more members for another two years."

"I wonder what they are going to be like." Raptalia

"Well if goes like last time I expect one animal person, one on the older side, and the last to be decently strong." Lavenza

"I'm not that old and I look great." Yoruichi

"I fail to see how someone over two centuries isn't considered old." Lavenza

"I'm younger than all the ruling great Satans and they are not considered old." Yoruichi

"Point taken." Lavenza

"Any idea when Master Lex is going to come home from his shopping trip?" Raptalia asked her tail was wagging in excitement.

"Probably not for another hour. He is getting fully restocked on cooking ingredients." Yoruichi

"We are approaching the day to deal with the holy sword project. We are aiming to save as many of the kids as we can but our main target is Sarah the best friend of Izaiya." Yoruichi

"That is the one you are having me escort out by myself." Raptalia 

"Yep, and I will be outside working as a field medic to treat what I can with Amity Drop." Lavena

"So whear are the kids that we save are going?" Raptalia

"They are being transferred to Miss Cake's in Canada. Sarah is being dropped off at the residency of Griselda Quarta." Yoruichi 

In the end the group was only able to save 5 more kids out of the original 50 participants. Only the older of the kids were left alive. Izaiya was reincarnanted into one of Rais knights. Sarah was taken by Griselda Quarta as a second apprentice. And life moved on for Lex. He managed to secure a place to stay for the last person he was planing on saving before the start of cannon. But that's a story for another day.
