——————Ichimaru Gin's POV——————

My life sucks. I've just recently discovered that I'm not the most powerful person in my own division even though I'm a Captain.

Shunsui Kyōraku, a student of the Head Captain and current lieutenant of the 8th Division. He refused becoming a Captain years ago because there's too much paperwork.

Apparently the Head Captain forced him to at least be a lieutenant. Even the paperwork I give him he passes it to the 3rd Seat, Nanao Ise, apparently his niece. All he does is drink sake and sleep in his office. Sometimes the Captain of the 13th Division, Jushiro Ukitake.

If only I had gotten the 3rd Division. Damn you Sakura.

—————————MC's POV—————————

It's been a few weeks since the incident in the Human world. My life has gone back to its routine of mornings in my office with a few paperwork, afternoons helping my Division with training and my own training and evenings with Rangiku. There were a few times I had to ignore Tousen but other than that things remained the same.

Rukia still joined the 13th Division and Renji the 6th.

Shiba Kaien was promoted to 13th division lieutenant.

And just like that 50 years passed. My division was now functioning like all the other meaning I had more paperwork now. I had promoted Kaori Mezu who achieved bankai to lieutenant and everyone below her had moved a seat up.

During these years I wasn't training like I used to. I was now master in everything except Zanjutsu which was at mid-Expert Rank. My Reiatsu increased a bit but was still at high Vast rank.

On one normal day the Captains were summoned to the 1st Division. I used shunpo to arrive at the 1st Division to find the other Captains already there. I quickly settled down.

"Isshin Shiba, former Captain of the 10th Division has been exiled from Soul Society by Central 46 for abandoning his duty starting today."said the Head Captain.

Other Captains looked surprised that Isshin would abandon his duty and instantly knew there was something more to the story.

" I recommend lieutenant Matsumoto as his replacement" I said a few minutes into the silence the news caused.

"Your just recommended her since she's your friend" retorted Mayuri. He had made it his life's mission to reject and retort all of my comments or suggestions.

"She's as strong as I am, you call and test her yourself if your balls are as golden as your face" I replied which made him growl with hate.

As he was about to say something else, the Head Captain Captain as, "that's a good idea"

"Yeah"

"Might be entertaining"

"Good idea indeeed"

All the Captains said clearly just looking for entertainment. Even Unohana was in on the idea.

"Great I'll call her now" I said as I stood up. Mayuri was glaring at me and Gin was on the verge of bursting in laughter.

After a few hours of preparing the match, Rangiku and Mayuri were staring at each other in an arena and I was referee. I gave Rangiku some motivation by telling her about his hatred for me.

The other Captains were staring in anticipation as I shouted, "Start!!"
