Chapter 18

The following week both Rangiku and Yoruichi didn't visit. Soi Fon, Urahara, Isshin, Omāeda and surprisingly Kaiso came to visit. Besides the visits it was pretty boring. I rarely got off my bed. After the week I was free to go out.

The morning I was released I immediately went for my morning run. It was refreshing to see the outside again. The people of the 2nd division were surprisingly more respectful towards me. All those who saw me greeted me with a lot of respect. I guess the news of my fight got out.

I wore my Shihakusho and went for the Captain's office. She greeted me like usual and like the kiss never happened. Seeing this I also pretended like nothing happened.

That day I got news of Ginrei Kuchiki stepping down as the Kuchiki Clan Head and Byakuya was chosen since his father was dead. Ginrei also retired from the Gotei 13 and Byakuya waiting to be called for the Captain's proficiency test. Besides that Omāeda decided to step down to 3rd Seat and gave me his position because he didn't think he was worthy. Yoruichi didn't waste the chance she quickly switched us and gave me the lieutenant badge. Although our duties did not change. I also talked to Rangiku and we're keeping our relationship a secret to everyone except Yoruichi obviously.

During this time Rangiku was promoted to lieutenant of the 10th division. Byakuya became the Captain of the 6th division and Zaraki came from nowhere, fought the current Kenpachi and killed him making him Kenpachi Zaraki, Captain of the 11th division. He also made Yachiru Kusajishi, a little pink haired girl his lieutenant. We also went on our little trip to Hueco Mundo but this time there were no powerful adjucha to be found.

This time something interesting happened. An adjucha, about 40 Gillians and many other cannon fodder tried invading soul society. Most probably Aizen's plan to show many people his zanpakto. I stayed away from the 5th division and plot relevant characters.

Yoruichi and Kisuke started being secretive. They most likely figured out what was happening in the shadows. Aizen during the invasion was the star player. He defeated lots of gillians and the adjucha. Many people started saying lieutenant Aizen was Captain material.

During the past 25 years I had managed to master my Shikai and 'Tsunade' my zanpakto told me I had to defeat it to unlock my Bankai.

For about a decade I failed to defeat it.

I woke up and did my morning run like usual. When I returned I took a shower and stood in front of the mirror.

These fifty years I had grown in all the right places. I was now Rangiku with pink hair. My skin still smooth and scarless as always. My body had fully matured and was in its prime right now. My now look for mature and experienced. After defeating my zanpakto and achieving Bankai a diamond had formed on my forehead. My hair was now reaching around the hips. I was about 1,7 meters tall. When ever I went outside the division men and women all stared at me as if I were a goddess. It was worse if I was walking with Rangiku.

After being satisfied with my image, I walked to my bed and took my shihakusho. I no longer wore the Soi Fon one because it wouldn't work well with someone with my body structure. I now wore a shihakusho that looked like Nemu's. The only difference is I wore the top of the shihakusho like Rangiku.

After wearing my shihakusho, I left my hair flowing down my back and didn't do a ponytail.

Looking in the mirror again to make sure nothing is missing, I shunpo to my office.
