They make a circle formation around me, I try to walk back to not get caught but its to late, I turn back to lock eyes with captain

"I'll give you to the count of three to surrender one"

I start to panic weighing my options in this situation seeing any possible solutions besides surrendering because who knows what type torture they'll do to me when I'm in their grasp But I also don't want to die this early either

As deciding on this it seems the captain ran out of patience

" All right your out of time demon men attack"

They all run towards me full speed with intentions of end my newly found unlife and it just start, They get closer and I close my eyes with arms covering my face and the only thing that happens next is the sound of gasps

I quickly open my eyes to see all weapon they had through me I silently feel stupid because I keep forgetting I'm dead they can't kill me twice

Then I start thinking If I'm a phantom what other undead powers do I have at my disposal, as pondering this I hear a familiar voice in my head

"Is that you denji? where are you and why does it sound if you are talking in my head"

"that's because I am you idiot, but now is not the time to be commenting on your brain cells the phantom ability your using is phase It allows all physical objection to threw you but in a minute its gonna where off and your gonna be in huge trouble"

"well what do I do then there's no where to go and I can't defend myself after this wears off"

"simple I'm going to tell you about a ability you can use to scare all of them away so you can get an opening to escape, its called fear aura it lets you instill the fear of death upon an induvial by looking in there eyes"

after he was done saying I notice the captain again know that my phase will break any second then I muster all courage I have and I run towards the captain till I'm in his face, our eyes meeting

The captain starts to looked shocked, no... scared at my presence he falls on the floor griping his heart

"t-Troops retreat immediately this demon Is stronger than we thought"

The troops shared a confused glance to one another but all start to follow there scurrying leader

But before they fully make there retreat the leader turn back but avoiding looking directly in my eyes

"This isn't over demon the empire will hunt you until your last breath mark my words"

with that last word in they leave

I think in my mind "denji your still there?"

"Yes am I and I must say nice job going for the leader like that you must have key thinking skills to pull that escape off but, let me help with some thing that will help you actually defend your self can you say menu"

I say this to stand confused for a moment but another second later a digital screen appears in front of me I studied it for a bit to see my name and some info"

I direct my attention to the right side of the screen to see "magic dark and shadow magic"

"so this what type of my magic I process?"

"Is this going to be your thing just be in my head mocking me"

"well I don't have anything to do for the next millennia so I guess so"

then as looking through even more on this screen I see "magic points"

"oh so one step ahead was going to explain that with these magic points you can unlock a ability and its seems you one so far"

I look at what he's talking about to see a skill called dark the description says take a dagger of pure darkness, that look interesting imma buy it

"denji do you know how do i summon it?"

"yes you can but you must say a spell repeat after me, from the darkness of my heart my fangs manifest dark dagger"

I repeat after him to pull a twin pair of shadow like dagger a foot in length and very sharp
