Han succeeded with his body enhancement. It was only barely, however, as his concentration was almost botched up by a familiar voice from up above. His nerves were taut already as he was surrounded by flesh-eating monsters, even more so when an imbecile calls him from outta nowhere.

Han looked up to see a tanned teen looking down at him from up above. Amir Khan, 16 years of age, the same age as Han's current body. Right now, he really wanted to give Amir a beating, even though he was Hanne's only friend in that past.

Body enhancement, no matter what stage should always be done in quiet secure environments. Han had some experience from his past life as a grandmaster so he dared to do it right then and there. if one lost their concentration, then the half-done process will revert in full force causing internal damage, it will be twice as hard to attempt the next time.

"Do you have food?" Han screamed over the grunts and moans of the undead. A few heads beside Amir poked over to peek at him.

"Ye--"

"If you want food then come and get it here!" The girl with the black hoody suddenly screamed, "But that's impossible! 'Cause, the damn doors are barricaded and we don't plan on removing our only barrier against those monsters."

"Besides, foods already scarce here, Honey Boy! If you want to get up here you better bring some food and not just be another mouth to feed!" The senior who told Amir to be quiet also shouted at Han. They backed away and yanked Amir with them beyond Han's vision.

Han scoffed at the disrespect shown to him by the young ones, he was 547 in his old world. He lived for such a long time only to be screamed at by some dumb children. It didn't matter, however.

"I'll teach you urchins a lesson." Han thought as he smiled. With consecutive jumps over the heads of the undead, he speeded towards the school walls and wall jumped towards the 2nd-floor window ledge where he hung and pulled himself up. With another wall jump, he grabbed the edge of the rooftop and climbed. With a burst of smug laughter, he marched towards the other students as soon as he arrived.

"What the hell!" A student yelled as they realized that somehow Han got up 3 stories in mere seconds.

"What is it? Is th---YOU!" The senior stumbled onto the floor from surprise. All the students turned to look at Han like he was a damn freak. Even Amir was looking like a buffoon as he stared at Han. Han didn't mind however, all that matters was that he was hungry.

"Wheres the grub?" Han asked, his eyes darted around and saw a pile of those things wrapped in plastic bags, chips. "What? Is that what you call food?"

Han's utter disappointment turned into amusement as the black hoodied girl blocked the meager chips from his sight. Now that they were closer Han recognized them from Hanne's memories. This slender girl with silky black hair and cute features was someone rather special. Amy Schevy, 15 years of age, is Hanne's crush. In Hanne's memory she was rather kind and gentle, a smart girl that everybody liked.

As Han could see, her true nature was rather more unlikeable. Han didn't care because it was only natural for humans to be selfish and self-centered. Even he knew that if he was the one who had food, he would never share. It didn't matter if they wouldn't share with Han though, as they were weak.

Han nonchalantly stepped forward and in a blink of an eye, Han was already in front of the food stash. Overstep! A movement technique wherein a single step moves you much farther than possible. Han could only use it once a day due to his body. Once he evolves into a higher level martial warrior he would be able to do it farther and much more times. As of now, he was level 0, a hungry level 0 warrior.

Not caring for the others, he opened up a bag of chips and munched to his heart's content.

"Woah! This is actually good stuff!" Han said as he turned back to face the other survivors who didn't know whether to be scared of him for moving like a ninja or to be mad at him eating their food.

It just wasn't something anyone could react to properly. The way Han climbed up the roof, seemingly teleported towards the chips, and then ate their food right in front of them.

At that moment they all knew that something was very off about Han, but they didn't have time to figure that out as Han was eating everything.

"You can't take any! We don't have any more to last even a day!" Amy said with a trembling voice.

"Yeah! We even had to scavenge some of those from the dead bodies!" A teen added.

They rushed at Han to stop his eating spree but who were they? Kids against a man that had slaughtered for his entire life? Han kicked a teen to the ground as he ate two bags of chips simultaneously. He sidestepped and kicked a teen on the back while dodging a baseball bat swung at him. A couple more charged at him from all directions, Han jumped over the head of one and let them crash onto each other. Out of the 7 survivors that charged no one could stop him.

He glared at the teen with the baseball bat, this was one of the seniors, probably two years older than his current body. This teen was an athletic type with rather large muscles, with Han's current body he would get hurt pretty bad if he gets hit. But him getting hit was only a dream. Swiftly, he charged forward and gave the senior a quick kick to the balls, making him collapse on the floor. The baseball bat rolled towards Han and he picked it up with a rather satisfied smile. Han stood calmly wielding a baseball bat in one hand and two bags of chips in the other, it was an absolute mind-breaking sight for Amir who knew Hanne the best.

"H-Hanne, is that really you, buddy?" Amir said as he approached what he felt was a stranger.

Han flashed him a smile as he opened another bag of chips. The others were hesitant to charge at him now, especially since he seemed very inclined to hit them with a bat if they approached. The only thing remaining to do was plead, and this was apparently a job for Amy.

Amy changed her face immediately, suddenly she put on a pitiful face smeared with tears, "Hanne, please stop eating! We barely have anything to eat and you're taking all we have!" if Han was still Hanne then his heart would melt, but Hanne was dead. Only Han remained and Han didn't give a damn.

"You think I care?" Han really didn't, he was eating at a fast pace and less than 5 chips were left on the food stash. He took one look at Amir then threw one at him as he took the rest and jumped off the roof. There was no need to kill them. He left one chip to Amir since he was Hanne's friend in the past, it doesn't matter if they take it from him. Only the strong deserve to keep anything, only the strong prevail, it was why he was able to take their food, It was only natural after all.

Han landed on the ground below with a roll, ignoring the cries of those he left above. He had memories of where Hanne lived, and he had to make sure his parents were safe, or at least know if they were dead.

He leaped over the school gates and once again balanced himself on top of it. Han's house was ten blocks away, according to Hanne's memories it was supposed to be a leisurely walk, but as Han stood there looking at the zombie-filled streets, he knew this was going to be a pain.

The infection seemed to be quite fresh as there were still plenty of survivors running about in the streets, followed by hordes of zombies. Han could hear gunshots around him, accompanied by the peoples' screams and the zombies' mad grunts. There were cars in the distance, one even crashed onto a building. The school was situated in the middle of the city so it was really a lively, or much better to be called chaotic view.

Han jumped over a horde of zombies below him and he kept running forward until he ran out of breath, then he just climbed up a streetlight. He continued to run and climb for a while until at one point a middle-aged man was overwhelmed by zombies just below him. Han simply observed how the zombies tore him apart. Limbs were torn, flesh was scattered in pieces all over below, and the man's screams slowly died out, replaced by the wet disgusting sound of his flesh being chewed. Soon the zombies left the half-eaten corpse and focused on Han, Han ignored the zombies as he watched the chewed corpse of the middle-aged man jerk up and reach out to get him as well.

There was no pity in Han's eyes, only intense fascination. He looked the dead man in the eye to see if he was still in there, but in the end, he was just staring at a hungry pile of moving flesh. This was the nature of the virus. Kill and spread, to Han, it resembled evil. In his past life, if you do evil, evil will spread, because a kind man will turn evil to keep himself alive in a cruel world. This virus was slightly better than evil however, as it can be stopped by killing it, while evil will forever live on.

Han snapped out of his reverie and decided to move on, night was fast approaching.
