Reincarnated In A World of Silly Women

Do deities play practical jokes on mortals? My new life in a new world is gratifying, so far, but I can't help but wonder why. There are no men and these women are ridiculous. One all-female race after another, in this part of the world, at least. Amazons, Elves, and Fairies; each with strange quirks and bizarre personalities. I keep collecting more of them as I try to carve out a place for myself in this world. Author's Notes: I intend this to be a lighthearted comedy, as well as a fun and intriguing power fantasy. I won't write anything disturbing, and I will make it as funny as I can. 11/21/24 I only just noticed that the webnovel reader changes my formatting. I was using an extra space between paragraphs to denote a scene change. Please leave a comment if you find any confusing parts. 11/30/24 I'm going on a trip I've been planning for a while in a couple days. I will try to keep writing and publishing while I'm away, but I expect a slower pace.

Fairies and Elves

Back at the palace, Rachel showed me to my new bedroom, which is separate from Sera's bedroom. I guess this is the elf king's bedroom, it looks like it has been empty but well maintained.

I told Rachel I wanted to relax here for a while, and then I lied down to chill just like I planned. I wonder what the fairies are doing.

After a couple hours of being a useless layabout, I was getting kind of bored, but not so bored I can't stand it yet. Wondering if the fairies are okay and getting along with the elves has been eating away at me.

How do fairies even pass the time? I think I'll go check on them real quick and then return to being a slug.

I found Rachel just outside the door.

"Hey Rachel. Are you doing okay?" I asked

"Yes, of course." said Rachel "Thank you for your concern."

"Okay, you're welcome to take a break if you need to. Anyway, what's going on with the fairies?"

"I have heard that they have taken up residence in the palace."

"Are there any problems?"

"None that I'm aware of."

"I think I'll go check on them."

After poking around in the palace for a while, we found the fairies holed up in one of the meeting rooms. They collected a bunch of cushions, and had a large tray of sweets they must have gotten from the elves.

Lily and Iris were telling the other fairies stories and personal details about me. Walking in on a conversation about me is apparently only awkward for me.

"Hey everyone, how are you settling in?" I asked

"Good. We like it here." answered Rose

"That's good. Are you getting along with the elves?"

"Of course."

"Nice. Anyway, I'll leave you to it." I said as I turned to leave.

"Okay, see you later."

After we left the room I noticed that Rachel had a complicated expression on her face.

"What's on your mind, Rachel?"

"How long will the fairies be staying here?" asked Rachel

"Indefinitely." I said, after a pause for thought.

Then, I saw obvious worry on Rachel's face.

"Does that bother you?" I asked

"It's just, what if we accidentally anger them or something?" said Rachel "Do the fairies truly obey your majesty?"

"Are you worried the fairies might attack the elves?"

"Yes, from what I've heard, fairies can be very dangerous and difficult to get along with."

"I see." I said, going back into the meeting room with the fairies.

"Just so we're clear, you're not allowed to harm the elves. If you have some problem with the elves, come talk to me about it." I said to the fairies "Okay?"

"Okay." said Rose, and the other fairies nodded in understanding.

"Oh, could you send a few fairies to find Sera, the elf queen, and bring her here?"

"Of course." said Rose "Let's see. . . Lily, Iris, Tulip, and Lilac will go."

I'm sure the elves will feel a lot better about all these changes with Sera here. Hopefully, Sera isn't afraid of heights.

"Thanks." I said as those four got up and left.

I think I'll go back to relaxing or practicing magic. I may not get another opportunity to be alone for a while, and I think some more solitude would do me good.
