The next morning, Akari woke up with renewed excitement. The anticipation of awakening her elemental spirit fueled her every move.
She quickly hopped out of her bed then, got dressed, and headed downstairs to eat breakfast room, where her mother was already preparing breakfast.
"Good morning, Mom!" Akiari greeted me with a big smile.
Lyra Saki turned around, returning the smile. "Good morning, Akari. You seem unusually energetic today. Did something exciting happen?"
Akari couldn't contain her excitement and blurted out, "I found this amazing book in the library last night! It's all about elemental spirits and how to awaken them!"
Lyra raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Elemental spirits, you say? That sounds fascinating. Tell me more."
As they sat down for breakfast, Akari eagerly recounted the information she had discovered in the book. Lyra listened attentively, her fox ears twitching with curiosity.
Lyra was quickly able to make breakfast. Akria was on her way to sit down to eat as she blurted out, "I want to become an Essentia Channeler!"
Suddenly with Akari's statement Lyra's expression became serious which caught Akria off guard.
"What happened, Mom?" Akari asked in confusion wanting to know the source of her mother's change of mood.
"Akari, are you sure you want to become an Essentia Channeler?" Lyra asked in a serious tone.
Akari's eyes widened at her mother's question. She took a moment to collect her thoughts before responding.
"Mom, why wouldn't I want to become an Essentia Channeler? I mean, it sounds amazing! Controlling the elements, reaching different levels of mastery," Akari exclaimed, her excitement still evident.
Lyra sighed her expression a mix of concern and nostalgia. "Akari, being an Essentia Channeler comes with its challenges and responsibilities. It's not just about the thrill of mastering elemental powers. It involves risks, and the path can be perilous."
Undeterred, Akari leaned forward, determined. "I understand that, Mom. But I want to explore my abilities.
Lyra's gaze softened as she looked at her daughter. "Akari, you're still so young. There's so much you haven't experienced yet. Becoming an Essentia Channeler is a profound choice, and once you start, there's no turning back."
Akari took a deep breath, her resolve unwavering. "I've made up my mind. Mom, I want to awaken my elemental spirit and grow stronger!."
Lyra nodded, acknowledging Akari's determination. "Very well. If this is truly what you want, I'll support you every step of the way. But promise me you'll be careful and patient. The journey of an Essentia Channeler is a marathon, not a sprint."
"I promise, Mom. I'll approach this with caution and dedication," Akari assured a sense of gratitude for her mother's support evident in her eyes.
With that settled, the atmosphere lightened, and they continued their breakfast. Akari couldn't help but feel a mix of nerves and excitement bubbling within her.
The prospect of awakening her elemental spirit added a new layer of anticipation to her journey in this world.
After Akari and Lyra ate their breakfast, Akari wanted to quickly head upstairs to finish reading the book but before she could, Lyra called her: "Akari, follow me. We will begin the process of awakening your elemental spirit".
Akari didn't wait for a second after she heard what her mother said, accepting her mother's request.
'I can't wait to find out what element my elemental spirit is going to be' Akari thought almost bursting with excitement.
Lyra and Akari quickly left the house and they made their way to the forest that was located behind their house.
'Wow, It's so colorful outside. This is the first time I am allowed to go outside, I've even been begging my mother to let me go outside forever,' Akari thought, her eyes wide with wonder as she took in the vibrant hues of the surrounding nature.
The morning sunlight painted the world in warm tones, casting a golden glow over the landscape.
The crisp breeze gently rustled overhead leaves, carrying the earthy fragrance of the forest with it.
Akari felt the soft touch of the wind on her face, As she gazed around, the forest revealed its secrets. The green of the leaves formed a lush canopy above. Butterflies flitted through the air, their delicate wings adding flashes of color to the scene.
In the distance, a stream of water could be heard, the sound echoing through the quiet clearing.
She noticed the carpet of wildflowers beneath her feet that covered the whole clearing, their petals swaying in rhythm with the breeze.
Akari marveled at the tall, trees that stood sentinel around her, their branches reaching toward the sky. Shafts of sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a play of light and shadow on the forest floor.
The vibrant symphony of nature that surrounded Akari left her without breath.
Reaching the middle of the clearing, Lyra stopped walking, swiftly turning to face Akari with concern in her eyes.
"Alright Akari, awakening your elemental spirit is a significant step. It requires focus, discipline, and a deep connection with the elements. Are you ready for this?" Lyra said.
Akari nodded, determination shining in her eyes. "I'm ready, Mom."
"Good," Lyra said, her tone serious. "Now, find a comfortable spot to sit down and close your eyes, also most importantly clear your mind."
Akari followed her mother's instructions, finding a small patch of grass inside the flower bed, She quickly decided to sit there she then cross-legged.
Akari took a deep breath, calming her racing heart, and closed her eyes.
"Now then gather the energy around you... Imagine the energy in the environment as the flow of invisible forces that surround us. This energy can take different forms, like light, heat, sound, and more." Said Lyra as Akari nodded her head in reply.
After a few moments of pause, Lyra went on to say: "Now let's try to control the energy in the environment, it's like they're attempting to influence or manage these invisible forces intentionally. For example, imagine trying to light a candle. By doing this, you're controlling heat for a fire, converting it into visible light-..."
Lyra stopped talking the moment she noticed Akari was no longer listening to her. She observed her daughter closely, her eyes revealing a mix of maternal concern, happiness, and pride.
She had gone through this same process when she was a few years older than Akari's current age.
'Normally it would take weeks for people to awaken their elemental spirit but at the rate her daughter is going she's going to be able to awaken her elemental spirit the same day she started.' Lyra thought in surprise.
'I always knew Akari was talented the moment she started to walk and talk at the age of 5 months old But she had no idea that her daughter was so talented to be able to get into the meditative state so quickly.' Lyra thought while smirking.
But Lyra's smile slowly faded "... Hopefully this world doesn't ruin my daughter..." Lyra lightly said.
Lyra stood nearby, her ears perked, attuned to the subtle energies of the surroundings. The air seemed to hum with anticipation as Akari delved into her inner world.
In the quiet of the forest, Akari began to sense the energies around her. She felt the earth beneath her, the gentle breeze playing with her hair, and the distant murmur of a stream.
As she focused, a warm tingling sensation enveloped her, a sign that the elemental spirit was responding to her call.
Minutes passed, and the energy around Akari intensified. a symphony of nature responding to her presence. The air crackled with anticipation, and Akari felt a connection deeper than she had ever known.
Suddenly, a burst of flames emanated from Akari, illuminating the area around her. After a few moments, the flames started swirling around her, before clomping together forming a very tiny flame.
"It's happened, Akari. You've awakened elemental spirit!"Lyra said as her eyes widened in happiness.
But then unexpectedly bright light started to emanate from Akari's body, it surrounded Akari before dimming down and forming into a tiny sphere of light.
"What the heck just happened!?! Does Akarin have two elemental spirits?? I've only heard of this happening once!" Lyra yelled in shock as she tried to cover her eyes from the blinding lights.
But before Lyra could do anything, the phenomenon stopped and the elemental spirit of fire and light was quickly absorbed into Akria's body going to Akari's essentia core.
Akari opened her eyes, instead of her normal light milky brown, Now her right eye glowed crimson red while her left eye glowed snowy white before returning to its normal light milky brown color.
Lyra was able to calm done and congrats her daughter with a smile, and a sense of pride appeared in her eyes directed toward Akari: "You did it, Akari. You've awakened your elemental spirit or should I say 'spirits'?."
