Reincarnated, But why?

This is my first book. I got a lot of ideas for books but never took the time to sit down and write/type one out. This is gonna be my first so we can see how well it goes. The story as of now will follow the protagonist Lit Tucker, who will be reincarnated into the world of Mercia. Mercia is a beautiful world full of elves, humans, demons, monsters, and magicians. Join Lit while he goes on an adventure to find excitement and love, and tries to figure out why exactly he was reincarnated.

Even more gifts!

"May I ask why I'm being given so many gifts? I'm not saying I won't accept them, give me all the gifts you want, but I just wanna know why everyone is giving me a lot of gifts?" I asked

"Your soul and fate have a very high value since we picked to have you sacrificed. Your decisions have the weight of trillions, at least until you reincarnate. If we wish to have good karma and wipe out any dark spots in our history, having you forgive us, or have us give you enough compensation to show our forgiveness, will allow us to build a lot of good karma. So that our next lives are very peaceful and we can enjoy them to the fullest," replied Sylva

"Wait what do you mean next lives? Aren't gods immortal?"

"Will we live forever? Yes, are we immune to most things? Also yes, but do not forget boy, everything in existence can die. There is no escaping that. Doesn't matter if your a god, or a human." Toli answered looking slightly annoyed

"Okay that's understandable, so who wants to go first? I'm guessing you gods are gonna be giving me things like blessings right?"

"Yes and no, doesn't matter how much your soul weighs right now, it can only hold 3 blessings right now. When you're reincarnated you can earn more, but as a body-less soul, you can only be given 3. I and my brother will be giving you our blessing since we don't have personalized gifts that are valuable enough to clean our slates." Responded blake

Both he and his brother stepped up and put their hands on my head, after a few seconds it felt like my soul was being filled with warm liquid. As soon as they took their meaty claws off my head, I felt a pair of delicate and small hands land on my head. When I looked up I saw Morgan also giving me her blessing.

"My blessing may not be the most powerful, but I do believe you will like it," she said as she lowered her head and have me a hug.

"I also wish to give you a few more personal gifts, since my blessings weren't enough. Here let me give you my daughter's soul" she said as she pulled out a glowing orb that had a few flakes of gold in it.

"I know you probably wondering why I'm giving you her soul, but she requested after her death, that her soul be given to the first man who receives my blessings." She finished with a smile while moving the orb closer to my body and inserting the soul into my body

After a few minutes, my body glowed and felt lighter, but also felt like I was being hugged. Even though when I turn around I couldn't find anyone there hugging me.

"She doesn't have any of her memories. She requested for them to be wiped. I know that in some of your novels there are characters who have their system talk to them, but besides giving basic information on skills you have, the system can't do that. My daughter will act as a guide, she will be able to monitor the inter-workings of your body and help you grow much stronger."

"Will she take my body over? Or try to hurt me?" I asked. I was still kinda scared of having a foreign soul in my body.

"No your souls are merged, she can't control your body without your consent. She also will have no malice. Since she is a child of a god she will learn very quickly, and form her own opinions, since you will be keeping your memories she will also have the ability to see all your memories. Don't worry about that though. She won't care to judge, I can guarantee that" Morgan finished with a smile

"How do you know that? " I asked, not questioning the goddess. I was just curious how she could tell what would happen in the future. Maybe it was an ability gods have, some sort of short future sight

"Call it mothers intuition," Morgan said with a smile as lowered her hand again and started to draw on my body with her finger.

"Right now I'm giving you another gift, even though I've cleared my plate and have a lot of good karma, this is a personal choice. I won't get any karma for this, nor will I lose any."

As soon as she finished she stood up and walked back to the circle of gods.

"May I ask what you did to me? I dont feel any different"

"Something that means almost nothing to you right now, and won't mean anything to you for some years. If you become someone important, then it will start to work. Think of it as a passive skill. Heimdall I believe it is your turn."

"Yes mam"

Heimdall then pull out a Crystal ball and shoved it right into my dimension seed. Then proceeded to pull out a book and insert it into my dimension seed and moved back to the circle of gods.

"That book will help you early on. Since we can't let you choose all of our powers at once, we set a limit in your dimensions seed. It will allow you to take out only three skill books, and then it will close until you are about a year old. The reason for closing won't be to weaken you but to have it grow a bit. That crystal ball I put in there, merged with your dimension seed. That will allow your dimension seed to passively absorb mana, and also give a small bump up in space." Finished Heimdall

"Guess I'm up next huh," said Catherine

"Here, this is a special seed, I'll put it in your dimension seed right now. But as soon as you can, you should plant it. "

The box was clear like glass. It also had a green ball the size of a marble floating around inside of it. It was mesmerizing because it sat in the dead center of the box and didn't move even once.

"I would love to give you a book that allows you to learn nature-related skills, but I can only do that for those who are born of nature-loved creatures. Such as elves, dryads, and ents. But I will give you these seeds, I believe they will help you too."

She pulled out a small 1x1x1 green box and put it in my dimension seed, before moving back into the circle.

"It looks like giving you our blessing wasn't enough to set us up. We would have added more gifts sooner but we aren't as good as others at reading fate ties and karma so it took us longer to figure out to give you more. Please take this. It will prove to be quite useful to you I believe" said Aaron as he and his brother moved forwards once again

He pulled out a crystal clear cube, but on the inside, there was a black marble. The marble had different specks of colors floating all around it while inside the cube.

"I also believe this item should be enough to set us over the top. It's different from my brothers. I would say you should open my first when you get the chance, at least before him. " Blake said.

The cube looked identical to his brothers. The marble on the inside was half black and half blue. He and his brother put the cubes into my dimension seed at the same time before backing up into the circle of gods.

"Hey Toli, Tristan, let us get this over with and all throw our stuff in at once shall we?"

Sylva must have been getting impatient about everything and decided to move things along faster.

"May I ask why everyone is in a rush? " I asked

"Your soul won't last long kid, the only way to stay up here in this realm for extended periods of time is if you are a god. Usually, most souls would have had a blessing or two if they were lucky, then sent on their way. The longer you stay here, the higher the chance your souls dissipating, and or losing the ability to reincarnate." Answered Sylva

Sylva, Tristan, and Toli each brought out a 2x2x2 box and shoved them into my dimension seed.

"My turn, here is a simple skill book for you," Athena said while bringing out the biggest book I've ever seen. The book was at least 3ft tall, 2ft wide and a little over a foot deep. Why would I say deep? The reason is simple, the book was too damn big. It was bigger than every other book I've seen since this whole dying thing happened to me.

"Boy, I will also give you a skill book, but I also wish to give you a couple of companions to adventure and live with. May I ask which kind of animals you would like to have to join you?" Samson asked after putting his book in my dimension

"Hmmm"

A companion that I can trust and who is versatile would be nice. Something like a lion? But maybe I won't be able to feed it if I have to immediately start taking care of it once I'm born. A dragon? No, I think that would make Toli mad. Something that can fly is a must. Ooh, I know.

"Can you give me a raven please"

"May I ask why you chose a raven, my boy?" Samson asked. I don't know if it was my eyes playing tricks on me but I swear I saw his lips twitch upwards into a smile for half a second.

"The reason is simple, the first time I played a game, a raven logo popped up on the screen fast and was quite loud and scared me. First time I got scared of a bird. Plus they are smart, have beautiful feathers, and are huge. Big birds are awesome right?" I said with excitement written all over my face.

All I got in response from Samson was a huge smile while he walked outside.

Before walking out the door he turned around and told us to meet him at the reincarnation door. He said by the time we get there he should have his gift ready for me.
