She agreed with Li Ran on what she said about Lu Beichen. Compared to Lu Sichen, he is only fit to be a boy toy!

But she could not say that in front of Lu Beichen. Right now, she knows that she needs to hold on to Lu Beichen as tightly as possible. She knew that she can't get anywhere near Lu Sichen at least for now so she should hold on to Lu Beichen.

"Ah Chen, did Sister really say that? Ran Ran...she loves you at lot...she won't say something like that!" Li An said.

"Hmph! What love?! Who needs her to be in love with me? She's just a pawn that I'm using! What gives her the guts to look down on me?" Lu Beichen asked

Li Ran should be the one running after him, she should not be looking down on him and despising him! He is the one who should despise her!

Li An pursed her lips and said, "Why don't we go talk to sister? Maybe there is a misunderstanding somewhere?" Li An asked.

Lu Beichen frowned. He really did not want to talk to Li Ran. He really looked down on that dumb woman! But he also knew that he still has use for her. He can't just discard of her right now ..

Li Ran was walking to the library when someone held her hand from behind. She turned to see Lu Beichen glaring at her furiously.

Li Ran's lips curled up in a cold smile. She had already seen the way he was acting at the breakfast table and she knew that he will probably come talk to her sooner or later. After all, she has always been an important part of his plan.

Li Ran looked at Lu Beichen and asked innocently "Is something wrong?"

Lu Beichen looked at Li Ran. He could not find anything wrong from her face . She still looked as clueless as always. It seemed that the person who had been talking about Lu Sichen with her friend earlier today was a different person.

Is Li Ran really this good at pretending? Or is she still an idoit as always? He could not tell anything from her face.

"Ran Ran...we need to talk" Lu Beichen said.

Li Ran almost vommited when he called her Ran Ran. She could see that even though he calls her so intimately, his gaze on her was filled with disgust!

How blind was she in the past to think that he was looking at her with love?

"Is there something that we need to talk about?" Li Ran asked. She was still playing dumb.

"Ran Ran...I....I just want to apologise to you. I'm sorry...I could not protect you" Lu Beichen said. He knew that he could not ask Li Ran if what he heard this morning was true or not. He could only aim to destroy the good image she has of Lu Sichen in her mind!

After all, Lu Sichen is the bad man who destroyed her love and forced her to get married to him!

"Apologise to me? For what exactly?" Li Ran asked. She was still playing dumb. Li Ran was really having fun playing around with this person like this.
