20 Chapter 20

Chapter 20

When the night comes they have dinner at another place. Gino said it was a club but also part of the Dragon mafia's business. What surprised Jamie is the manager of the club. It was a woman named Hanako.

Hanako looks like a cat. She has sharp eyes, a small face, a gummy smile, and very pale skin. She was tall too, leveling Jamie's nose, unlike the plurality of women in Japan. She has a flirty smirk on her face but Kun ignored her advantage. They are friendly with each other and Hanako is not afraid to tease Kun.

"I'm with my brother, don't mind him, and give us dinner," Kun ordered again. They are staying in the VIP room on the second floor.

"Oho, I'm Hanako." She said in Korean. Jamie just raised his brow after hearing a good Korean accent from the girl.

"Jamie."

"Why did you bring a baby here Kun?" Hanako just grinned at Jamie and talked as if he was not with them. She was talking in Japanese with Kun. Jamie pretended not to understand them.

"Father's order," Kun said in a boring tone.

The food is delivered to the table. There was a lot of alcohol but Jamie ignored them. He doesn't like the taste of it.

"You don't drink Jamie?" Hanako asked again, taking one goblet of champagne.

Jamie just shakes his head and eats the steak. He orders juice instead. Hanako has been studying Jamie carefully. Her eyes never leave him but Jamie ignores her most of the time.

"Was he the illegitimate child?" Hanako asked in Japanese, not jerking her eyes from Jamie who was still busy with food.

"Is he even useful? He looks weak." She said again. Kun responds though. "He's pretty useful so..."

Jamie drank his juice and finally looked at the girl. He smiles at her and gazes at the room. The interior is good but something seems not right. Jamie looked at Kun waiting for him to do anything. Gino just finished eating so he was waiting for them too.

"I heard the Virgo gang has been regular here," Kun says. He gestures for Hanako to report things to him. Hanako looked at Jamie one more time before glancing at Kun.

"Virgo gang is a small group who are main business were loan sharking, drugs, and prostitution. We had a problem with them because they wanted to buy underage girls but I didn't let him. My girls are selling their arts by dancing but some of them agree to VIP clients and it is purely consensual. Taking VIPs has a lot of tips though." Hanako holds her gaze at Jamie again studying his reaction but Jamie remains unresponsive.

"Hmm" Kun hummed thinking now.

The door opened again and two girls came to view. Their eyes were misty like they had been crying. Hanako trained her eyes on the girl who looks bewildered when they see Kun and Jamie also looking at them.

"We're sorry Hanako-chan... They came here again claiming Miyaka. I told her to hide here on the second floor but Sam won't budge. He's disturbing customers. He... He slaps Mona." Hanako clenched her jaw and suddenly stood up. She looked at Kun per permission while the Heir called for Gino.

Gino quickly stands up too and goes to the door. Hanako came back from sitting while the two girls near the door looked stunned at the sight of Kun.

"He is Kim-san," Hanako muttered, eyes too dark at the two.

"Hyung..." Jamie called Kun and the latter raised his brow to him.

"Let's go back hyung." Jamie's voice is so sweet that even Hanako grimaced at him.

Kun's gaze was cold but nodded his head. He stands up and lets Jamie come forward. Jamie ignored Hanako's goodbye while Kun walked as fast as Jamie.

Jamie first sits in the car while Kun is making a phone call. Gino is still out of sight. Kun came to the car and closed the door Jamie spoke.

"Hyung... Those girls are lying, they also know you. Something is happening in that club. I don't want to witness blood so if you're going to handle them... Then let me out of it." Jamie waited for his brother to scoff at him but he laughed.

Jamie frowned at him, what heck now? The blonde brown eyes widened looking bewildered at his brother's humor.

"What the heck? You know what's going on and I am here thinking you're just bored and wanted to go back." Kun looked at him still dry from laughing.

"Excuse me, brother, I was bored all the time. You are not better company than Gino. Both of you deserve each other." Jamie rolled his eyes.

"You can come back. I will just take a taxi." Jamie said after a while. He waited for his brother's confirmation before the silence agreement.

Jamie went from the parking garage. It was already nine-thirty in the evening and the night market was just going on.

Tokyo night market is pretty popular. There are a lot of shops, bars, and even restaurants that are no qualms to stay open for tourists and locals. Jamie has to visit them first before Kun dragged him anywhere else and met some fugitives and he won't enjoy his stay anymore.

Jamie went to the first stall he spotted. There are also Karaage and Yakisoba typical in Japan. He is still full so he only buys takoyaki. He walks through the night buying some shirts and accessories that he found fascinating. His brother must miss the opportunity to have fun! (Snickering his evil laugh) Dealing with goons is exhausting. Speaking Japanese like locals is like breathing to Jamie. He even converses with some of the tourists by telling them the right place or where to find the nearest hotels.

Jamie really misses coming here and he won't trade it from the world! Though some of the establishments he knew from before in his world were gone Jamie still enjoyed the diversity and new knowledge about the place. Tokyo can be bright under the deepest night sky. Now that he thinks about it, the countryside is more sentimental because of the stars you can find by just looking up. In the city, particularly in Tokyo, everything is so bright that you forget about appreciating the stars. It always fascinates Jamie that those two places contradict each other but are still very charming in their own way.

He decided to go back when he checked the time. Almost midnight, he was waiting at the bus stop because for once Jamie likes to experience them but a car stopped in front of him.

"I hope you finish your little stroll," Kun mumbled, not looking at him.

"Come inside" He ordered.
