Chapter 10

Jamie's 1st brother is Kim Hak Kun, 27 years old and a successor of Dragon Mafia. The old Jamie doesn't have many memories of him, they ignore each other and never really bother about his existence. 

His 3rd sister is Kim Yejin, 23 years old. A genius and also someone who is in line to be a successor of the Kim Empire. Their roles are specified and Jamie has respect for both of them. 

Kim Joon is his 2nd brother and also the pushover. He looks up to his father and makes him his God. he has issues with not being a perfect child and he hates it if things do not go his way. 

Kim Bon Hwa, Jamie's youngest brother, is 17 years old and still in high school. He is quiet and likes to observe. They sometimes bond with Jamie when Hwa is reading books which Jamie also likes as a hobby. Hwa is fascinated by his brother's memory and the only person who slightly cared for him (in secret because he is kind of tsundere) 

"Darling, you should tell mom when you're going to disappear like that. I got worried and asked your father to find you." Yoon Lira muttered as she ate her stake in such elegance. 

"I apologize mom." He said in a low voice. Ignoring the snorts and glare from his second brother. 

"I already told dad what happened. He promises me to take care of it, mom. Don't worry." He smiles and eats a small portion of his steak. 

The glance his brothers and sister give him for the first time is also a surprise to him. Kun has his blank stare while Yejin seems amused. Joon was the only person who found it annoying. Hwa looked worried at his brother but never said anything. 

"Oh, that's good I guess. Your father is a very competent man. You can ask him for help." She smiles, not aware that something changed in the dining hall, an imaginary tension Jamie knew when someone was disputing him in his past life. 

"I knew a lot, mother. I am very thankful to him. I hope the person who will do the job will not embarrass the father's reputation. I am so concerned with these people who crossed the line and brought an assassin and gave me a threat. They thought the Kims' are easy prey, targeting the 4th child. They thought the great Kim had a weakness and it was an insult to Father." Jamie said with a bit of sarcasm. He did his job asking for his father's competence and slightly breaking the news that someone like Jamie is not an easy target by those losers. 

"You also need to work on your own safety brother," Joon stated, half cursing at his tone.

"Joon hyung, why would I be afraid? The Kim Empire owns the country. Father is the King. Who dares to disobey his will? I am confident that he owns every bit of this place. We shall be no afraid of small flies who don't know their place. Of course, Father could be tolerant but they cross the line. Family is everything to the Kim." Jamie is being bolder and bolder. His father is silently listening, not once does he stop his mini monologue but the old Jamie never admitted he belongs to his family Kim. He knew that he wasn't a real Kim, that's why he distances himself and lives his life being ridiculed and ignored by his family. 

"It's my first time hearing you admit you are a Kim. Not shy anymore little brother?" Yejin asked with a smirk written all over her face, mocking him for facts. 

"Of course Yejin noona. Mother always told me that. It got in my head." He smiles while her sister just shrugged her shoulders. 

"Just don't cause more trouble," Kun said now looking at him with his poker face. 

"Of course Hyung." He smiles again. He is tired of smiling like an idiot but he needs to establish his presence now so they can help him to find his assassin. They will make his job easier and Jamie needs more resources in this life. 

"Kun, how's the trade with Chong?" As if on cue, the conversation shifted to business. 

Jamie is satisfied that his father never commented on his bold statement. He was afraid and there is a little bit of him wanting to run away and never look back. He hopes that this family will protect Jamie, not because they care but because it's a matter of pride. And he will use them to his advantage. Making lies and acting as sweet as he could so he could plan his own life and leave them for good. 

Jamie needs to establish himself just like what he did in his past life. And to make it real, he needs to be able to protect himself from his family's enemies.
