''You can call me whatever you want.'' Poseidon was a bit shocked at what Yggdrasil said, but he calmed down afterward.

'Although I wasn't hiding it, someone finding out about my secret so easily is ... disturbing.'

Yggdrasil' smiled, '' Don't worry, I won't tell anyone.'' She started to laugh too.

Poseidon took a deep breath, ''Let's cut to the chase. Why did you call me... here? By the way, where is here?''

Although Poseidon had some suggestions about where 'here' was, he didn't know if they were correct.

Yggdrasil also stopped laughing. She adopted a more serious tone, '' You are inside my domain. I have the authority to pull any being into it. Don't worry, when our conversation is over, you will return to where you were.''

"How are you so strong that you can rip my soul out?'' Poseidon knew that even if he resisted with all his strength, his soul would still be pulled in.

'Yggdrasil' got a melancholy look on his face, '' ... I am one of the last beings still existing who saw the creation of the universe. As I was one of the few being alive at the beginning, God gave me some 'special' powers.''

Poseidon immediately noticed that the way Ygddrasil spoke about God was strange. ' I wonder why is that so... Perhaps!?'

'Yggdrasil' nodded, ''Yes, there is a God. Not like you or the other Pantheons, but he exists. You could even say he created everything else.''

Poseidon was getting more and more shocked as time went on, '' Please explain from the beginning.''

'' Be prepared that this is going to be a long conversation... But don't worry, time runs differently here than outside. You'll still have time to get to Asgard.''

Poseidon nodded and prepared himself, '' You may begin.''

'' Well, the first one we should take into consideration is your old world.''

Yggdrasil took some of the tea in front of her, '' Do you remember any ... what are they called?'' Yggdrasil thought for a while, then continued, ''Games or movies from that time?''

Poseidon nodded, '' Of course, I remember. I got into this whole mess while playing God Of War.''

'' You see, they are not only games. They are real universes, located across different dimensions.''

'' ... What?''

'' It is as I said. Many of the works of your old world are about different universes. The people who wrote/thought about those universes, are only able to do that because of 'dreams' that showed them the history of those universes.''

'' So you're saying that all games and all movies across the entire Earth history are real?''

' Yggrasil' shook her head first, then nodded soon after, '' Yes and no. Not all of them, of course. I can't say for sure how many, but I know about some of the universes your world made into a game or movie.''

'' Which one are you talking about? And how do you know about that? Aren't you supposed to never leave this ... universe?''

'' Easy, I'll explain everything. Just let me continue... As I said before, I was there at the very beginning of all universes and dimensions. I have 'roots' across every dimension and we communicate between us. That's why I know what happened to other universes.''

'' Of course, not all my roots are the same as mine. They usually live in a secluded part of their universe, never to be known by the people there. I'm the only one tended by others. A shame, because I know they would love a Ratatoskr for them.''

When Yggdrasil talked about Ratatoskr, she (?) looked strange. ' Perhaps she's in love with Ratatoskr? But how would a tree and a squirrel ...'

Cough

Yggdrasil coughed, '' Jonh, may I remember you I can read your mind?''

'' Sorry. Please, continue.''

'' Anyway, there are different versions of me across the dimensions, and that's why I know about the games and movies on your Earth. The Yggdrasil of that dimension is also the one who sent you here.''

'' Why?'' This was one of the questions that plagued Poseidon for the last decades. Why him?

'' For me to explain that, you have to understand something. The majority of the games are made out of dimensions who are ... in trouble or destroyed.''

'' Games like,'' Yggrasil thought for a while, '' Mass Effect, Doom, Resident Evil are real. Well, at least on their dimension. Just like this universe is real.''

'' Sometimes, we, with our powers, try and send people from Earth to those dimensions in hopes they could change their unfortunate fate.''

'' In some cases, they manage to do just that and live their lives normally after they 'save' their universe. But the majority of them don't manage to do that and die in the process.''

'' And this brings us here. The GOW universe was fated to be destroyed since the beginning. But you managed to save it. While that saved you, it also brought Chaos's attention.''

'' Chaos is present in all dimensions, but they could only enter a few of them, and your new universe is their target now.''

'' Why?''

Yggdrasil sighed, '' There's no motive.''

'' So they attack other dimensions just because!?''

Yggdrasil, '' While there's absolute good, there's also absolute evil. That's what Chaos is. Evil in its purest form. They attack every dimension that opens a pathway to them. To date, Chaos destroyed countless dimensions, with nothing that could be done to save them.''

Poseidon was trying to digest all information, but Yggdrasil didn't stop.'' But you have a fighting chance. You are ... powerful. Extremely so.''

'' It didn't matter that much when fighting against Cthulhu. I only managed to injure him a little.''

'' And that's more than what countless other dimensions did. When I say you have a fighting chance, I mean it.''

Poseidon had already a plan formed in his mind. He didn't say much and thought about it.

Yggdrasil noted that and started to see Poseidon's plan. After a while, 'she' put down her tea. '' ... It could work. But are you willing to do that?''

Poseidon sighed, '' I can't think of any other way to win.''

Yggdrasil stayed silent for a moment. 'She' sighed, '' Unfortunately, you're right. But I really don't want you to do that. The other me sent you here to save this universe. You did, but a bigger evil attacked. It's quite unfair.''

'' We have to live with that.'' Poseidon took another sip of his tea. He talked again when he finished, '' Hey, I have some doubts regarding all of this situation. Can you answer some of my questions?''

'' Ask away.'' Yggdrasil didnt reject.

''Why are only people of Earth sent to other dimensions?'' This was making Poseidon curious, ' Surely, Earth can't be the only place with people suitable to send to other places.'

Yggdrasil answered, '' Your Earth and dimension is God's favorite. The humans of that dimensions are basically the only ones capable of surviving the dimension crossing. Your soul is strong compared to others.''

'' Hmmm. What about God? Why can't he just, you know, destroy Chaos and save others' dimensions?''

Yggdrasil gave a sad smile, '' While God is extremely powerful, he can't directly interfere with the dimensions. If he did that, it would destroy everything. It's a rule made by him after a dimension he tried to help was destroyed instead.''

'' He made humans of your Earth have stronger souls just for that reason. So that some of you could help others dimensions in his place.''

Poseidon stayed quiet for a while, '' Does he have a physical form?''

Yggdrasil smiled, '' Why? Do you want to fight him?''

Poseidon shook his head, '' Just a curiosity.''

'' Yes and no.''

Poseidon rolled his eyes at that response, '' Really?''

Yggdrasil laughed a bit, '' Yes, really. It's something you will have in your mind for some time.''

'' Ok, but at least answer this. If God wanted to destroy Chaos, could he do it?''

Yggdrasil nodded, '' Yes.''

Poseidon sighed, ' He's more powerful than me then.'

Yggdrasil responded to Poseidon's thought, '' Of course he is. The power you have now is nothing but a fraction of his. God gave away some of his powers to other dimensions, and the 'Gods' of this dimension are the result of it.''

Yggdrasil then added, ''That's why Cthulhu called you and your friends' False Gods.''

Poseidon asked after a while,'' ... Can we surpass God?''

'' It would take a long long long time, but you do not have any restriction on the amount of power you can have. So yes, in theory, all Gods could surpass him. But you have to remember, your body would not be able to handle power in the same league as God.''

When Poseidon fought against Zeus, his body almost collapsed thanks to having the powers of the others Gods.

'' I understand it.''

Yggdrasil nodded, '' It seems you do.''

After all was said and done, both of them stayed in silence. Poseidon asked, '' What now?''

'' I already talked all I wanted. I can send you away right now if you want.''

Poseidon then remembered what he came here to do, '' Can we take some kind of seed from ... you? As you know, the Norse Realm is about to be destroyed, and you'll die with it.''

Yggdrasil didn't think much and passed a seed to Poseidon, '' Here. Plant this anywhere in the Greek Realm and another Yggdrasil will sprout there.''

Poseidon thanked the tree. He noted something in her speech, '' This new Yggdrasil, it will not be you, right?''

Yggdrasil nodded. It seems the tree didn't mind dying. '' She will not be me, but she would be able 'see' all things I saw. But in the end, it's just the cycle of life. All things die, even me.''

Poseidon didn't want that. ' While the new Yggdrasil could read her old memories, she could not be so open equal this one.' He didn't want to lose an ally. '' Hey, perhaps...?''

Yggdrasil read Poseiodn's mind and started to laugh out loud, '' Hahahaha... You amuse me. But yes, if you can do it, this version of me should survive.''

'' Then that's what I'll do.'' Poseidon already decided he would save this Yggdrasil. He stored the seed, just in case.

'' I pray for your success.'' Yggdrasil prepared to sent Poseidon away.

'' Wait.'' Poseidon suddenly said.

'' What is it?'' Yggdrasil stopped the process of sending Poseidon back.

'' Could you pull the souls of everyone? Even enemies?''

Yggdrasil nodded, '' I could, but they must be in a certain radius of my location.''

'' Could you defeat Cthulhu, if we sent his soul here?''

Yggdrasil though for a while, '' ... I don't know.''

Poseidon nodded, '' That's good enough. If you had said no directly, it would've meant you are weaker than him. A maybe is good enough.''

'' One more question. Is Cthulhu the most powerful being in Chaos?'' While Poseidon knew the answer to that question, he still asked. ' If the stories in my old Earth are real, Cthulhu is definitively not the strongest in Chaos.''

Yggdrasil shook her head, '' No.''

'' With my plan, could we defend this dimension?''

Yggdrasil smiled, '' You said that was your last question. Bye, John. I see you soon.''

With a snap of 'Yggdrasil's' finger, Poseidon's soul went back to his body.

After sending Poseidon away, Yggdrasil looked sad, '' He was the first visitor in ages... His plan could work. I hope it will.''

The tree went back to her routine, with the hope Poseidon and his friends could save this dimension.
