Ch.15 I love you too

"Ugh, they are so cute together," Ayano mumbled lightly while peeking at them through the corner of the front door.

'If only our relationship was a bit like them.' She couldn't help but compare their relationship to her which was in shambles right now.

While thinking about her current relationship, she suddenly heard a sudden sound from them and looking towards them, she was the boy slowly leaning in towards the girl.

"Ohhhh!" She got excited as it was almost like seeing one of those high school romantic series in real life, but suddenly it turned into disappointment as the boy suddenly stopped and patted her head instead of kissing her.

'Ughhhh even here, it's like those shitty romantic series.' Even though she thought that, she couldn't look away due to their reaction which gave diabetes to her.

"Ow!" Suddenly she felt something hitting her head, and looking behind her she could see her senior waitress looking at her with a curious gaze.

"What are you doing?"

"Uh, that- yeah, I was just checking the door." She quickly started to brush the nonexistent dirt from the door with an awkward laugh.

"Sure, anyway, spy on that couple later and take the order to table no.5." She said while looking behind Ayano with a smile as even she found that couple cute.

"Ah, shit-" Realising she was caught, she crouched on the floor and covered her face to hide her embarrassment.

"Regret later and go take the order, also don't you have a boyfriend? Can always do that stuff with him." She said while lightly tapping Ayano's head with the tray in her hand with a small giggle at her reaction.

"True, I can do that." She immediately jumped up in excitement and started walking towards the counter to pick up the order while thinking about various things they could do later.

While they were almost finished with their crepe, a group of cosplayers with a lively blond girl in the centre suddenly passed through them which Oga found a bit weird even though it was commonplace in this area.

'Damn, I could never do that.' Thinking about wearing such flashy clothes while in public will make him kind of embarrassed not to mention all the gazes from strangers.

While thinking about that scenario, he looked towards Chifuyu who was still looking at the cosplayer group with a weird gaze.

"Do you know any of them?" He couldn't help but ask as he had never seen her act like this since the time he met her.

"Oh? Ah, that's not it." She said, shaking her head while trying not to look at him while finishing the last bit of her crepe.

"If you say so." He just nodded at her while looking at her, who was still occasionally glancing at the group until they went away from their sight.

'Maybe she is interested in that stuff.' Even though it didn't fit her character, he thought that as an answer from that weird gaze of her.

'Oh well, I can always ask about that later.' He decided not to dwell on that topic but instead took the tissue paper from her after she finished cleaning her hands with it.

"Hmm?" Surprised by his actions, she looked towards him with a curious gaze asking questions.

Realising his sudden action with a lack of any words made him a bit embarrassed and a little annoyed due to the familiarity of that action.

But he decided to put aside that annoyance due to the past stuff for now and gave the answer she wanted, "Ahh, just wanted to throw away these as the trash can is inside the shop and thought you shouldn't do that due to your earlier condition."

"Ohh!" Realising his intentions, she couldn't help but feel a little bit shy while her heart started beating again loudly, which made her look down once again so she couldn't face him.

"You okay?" Seeing her sudden reaction, he couldn't help but feel a little worried and thought his action might have offended her a bit.

"Ahh, I am good- also thank you." She mumbled in a little voice while still looking at the ground as she couldn't muster to look at him due to this weird state of her.

"That's good then, I will be back in two minutes then." With a smile, he went back inside the store and finally, she felt a little bit calmer but still felt her heart beating loudly.

Leaning against the wall, she slowly started breathing in and out to calm her heart while pulling out the phone from her handbag since she hadn't checked it since yesterday.

Opening her phone, there were messages from those she didn't want to see and couldn't help but regret all her actions till now.

'I am sorry Takagi-kun.' Even though she wanted to ask for forgiveness for all this, she knew it was too late and there was only one thing remaining to do.

Instead of replying to him, she just replied to her parent's message as she didn't know what to say at this period with all her emotions jumbled up due to Oga.

With a melancholic sigh, she put her phone inside her handbag and started to take out money to pay half of the bill.

"I am back and you are feeling good now?" Oga returned with a bag to see her looking inside her handbag but decided to ask about her condition first.

"Oh I am good, also what's that?" She nodded as she felt a bit calmer while facing him while also feeling curious about the bag in his hands.

"Oh these are the pastries, so let's go now." He said while holding his out to tease her a bit.

"What about the bill?" She asked with a serious expression as right now she felt more concerned about that.

"Oh, I already paid." 

"Wait what? How much was it? Let me pay the half to you." She said as she started taking out the money from her handbag.

Looking at her reaction, he couldn't help but laugh as he felt she was too much of a good girl.

"What?" Hearing his laugh, she couldn't help but feel as if she was doing something weird.

"Oh, nothing, and no need for money as aren't I am your boyfriend, right? So it's my job to spoil you." He replied with a laugh while lightly patting her head.

Hearing his words, she couldn't help but feel those emotions rising again even though she tried her hardest to calm them down, "I hate you." 

"I love you too." He couldn't help but teasingly reply to her light mumble with those words even though he didn't mean it seriously while lightly holding his hand out further, "Anyway let's go."

Hearing those words, she couldn't control those emotions anymore as her heart beat faster than ever and she felt out of control of her body and in some dizzying state as she put her money back and held his hands.
