Chapter 21

In the early morning a trainer can be seen walking to the training grounds. The trainer sitting on the bench seems to be getting Pokeballs out of his bag.

'It's finally, the time to introduce out new team member to the team!' Brendan says, inwardly excited to see his new Pokemon, that he will add to his team.

Brendan Picking a particular looking Pokeball looking like a luxury ball. Brendan clicking the tip of the Pokeball reveals a cute amphibious, quadrupedal Pokemon. The pokemon with its small cute eyes gazes up at Brendan.

Pokemon: Mudkip (Light Blue)

"Kip!"

"Hey there buddy." Brendan says in a soft tone trying not to scare Mudkip as it seems to be young, but after a few weeks can train. "Im your new trainer. My name is Brendan, In a few seconds I'm going to be sending out other Pokemon so you can meet the rest of the family."

Brendan seeing the Mudkip nuzzling his hand, takes out 4 other Pokeballs with his other hand and clicks all 4 of the Pokeballs buttons, sends out four red beams.

"Grovyle!"

"Kirlia!"

"Combusken!"

"Mightyena!"

"Hey guys. this is our new team member Mudkip. By winning the Rookie Tournament we were able to get this cute little guy." Mudkip looking at the others, proceeds to look away shyly and keeps nuzzling Brendans belly. "He's a bit shy come and say hi."

The Pokemon seeing this start to try to interact with Mudkip. Kirlia cooing at the cute little blue finned creature while the others curiously try to impress it.

Brendan seeing this chuckles at Combusken, Mightyena, and Grovyle looking deflated as Mudkip gets scared and runs to Kirlia.

"Okay guys at this point of time we will be heading to the next gym in Dewford so we will start heading there now!"

Brendan remembering he wanted to call his mum before leaving, gets his phone and rings his mum.

"Hey mum! Did you see my performance in the Rookie tournament!" Brendan says gloatingly to his mother.

"I did honey it was impressive me and your father watched the matches together! Also who's the cute little guy on your head?"

Brendan not noticing the cute blue finned creature on his head, suddenly realises that Mudkip is on his head. "This is Mudkip I just recently got him, a gift from Mr. Stone for winning the Tournament!"

"That's amazing! Don't forget to pack all your things and always take a shower everyday." Brendan hearing this gets a little embarrassed.

Brendan before leaving got a free pass for riding different ships like the S. S Anne or to get a ride to different areas from Mr. Stone as the guys loaded. Brendan taking advantage of this, will use this ticket to head to Dewford for his third gym badge.

After a few minutes of chatting between the mother-son duo Brendan says his good byes and heads towards Petalburg Woods. With a cute Mudkip resting on his head, he makes his way to the sea shore of Petalburg.

Brendan seeing a boat in the distance, starts to make his way to the little wooden hut just before it.

"Uh hello is there anyone there?" Brendan asks while knocking on the door

"Hello there young man!" A person opening the door says. "Your this years Rookie winner aren't ya? Well Mr. Stone has already informed me of your destination lets get a move on." The old man says with a Wingull next to him.

Brendan nodding follows the man to his boat. Brendan already knew this man from the games, trusted him fully, and recognised Peeko the Wingull.

Pokemon: Wingull (Deep Orange)

"Wingull!"

Brendan heading on the ship as it starts to set sail, is mesmerised by the views of the ocean.

The boat now moving with Brendan now at the front staring off into the ocean, admiring the view of the gorgeos sea with multiple different Pokemon swimming around.

Brendan after a while, sees land and with it multiple buildings. A few more minutes later the boat arrives on the docks of the Island. Brendan getting off the boat and saying his goodbyes to the old man, Brendan, after getting down, makes his way to the Pokecentre to register himself, for a room and a gym battle.

"Hello nurse joy, I'd like for a checkup for my Pokemon and to register for a gym battle!" Brendan says with excitement. The last gym battle he had was more than a few weeks ago now. With all the battles Brendan has had it has made him hungry for more gym badges.

"Hello trainer! Actually if you want to have a gym battle I can book it today if you want. Not many trainers have been visiting recently so it's the perfect time to challenge him."

Brendan hearing this, nods at nurse joy and schedules his battle to take place in a few hours.

* * * Few hours later * * *

Brendan now in the gym, makes his way to the platform. After signing up and checking out his Pokemon Brendan has already decided that he was strong enough to challenge Brawly for the gym badge.

"Good Luck Brendan hopefully you don't disappoint Rookie." Brawly says in a joking tone

"This match will be a three on three match the challenger can only switch out once!" The referee says. "The challenger Brendan from littleroot Town challenges Brawly to an official gym battle."

The referee seeing both trainers ready shouts, "Begin!"

I'm working on a different story more refined than this one called Pokemon: Pallet Town's Prodigy. It won't be released until I either drop or finish this story, though. I am trying to improve my writing more so I can make my next ff better and with more words lmao, because I will have premade chapters unlike this one.

Which is probably something I should do.
