"Treeko! treeko!"

Brendan arriving at the huge tree, hears multiple different Treekos start to welcome him. After all, they have been waiting to send a little one with him today since his first few visits to this area to do research about grass types.

"It's been a while guys, im here to recieve the battle for a Treeko I was promised!"

Brendan says excitedly. It's finally the day to catch one of the royal starters of Hoenn. It's already extremely hard enough through connections to receive these royal starters, either through either Professor Birch or money. Most trainers will never get the opportunity to get these pokemon unless they get in the Top 3 grades in the entire region, Brendan being first and an assistant so he got to choose first.

A Treeko with a tint of aqua green and a red tail reveals itself, the Treeko jumping in front of Brendan in an imposing way.

"Treeko Tree!"

(Shiny pokemon will naturally have better Talents than others and will have their Hidden abilities naturally unlocked with the normal ones too).

'Wow, I was expecting a yellow or light green talent but Deep Green and It's Shiny! It's rare enough to find a yellow talent. This is probably the highest talent natural-born Treeko, this pack of Treekos has ever had!' (We ignore Wally. He has plot armour fam, he started later than us in the games but ended up in front of us on victory road waiting for us lmao).

Brendan is extremely excited to catch a Treeko, sent out Torchic.

"Go Torchic! Start off with a Flamethrower"

Torchic sending out a quick flamethrower because of all his training still wasn't enough to hit the Pokemon. Treeko using detect to dodge the move goes for a leaf storm.

"Torchic quickly use detect!"

Torchic trying to use detect still gets hit, dealing a lot of damage. On the ground, Torchic was starting to glow. It was blinding, you couldn't see anything for a split moment. Now on his two feet, Combusken, with all his glory, stood in front of the Treeko with a now battle-hungry smile. Combusken now at peak rookie level, is pretty strong (Peak rookie rank is about lvl 18-20).

"Let's celebrate the evolution after we got a Treeko to catch! Use quick aeriel ace!"

Treeko seeing the opponent evolve and ready to attack tries to counter with dragon breath, but because of Combusken's speed can dodge and land a critical hit quick aerial ace. Treeko gets the wind blown out of him, reacts with a crunch trying to deal damage.

"Dodge and use flame charge!"

Treeko trying to use detect fails and gets hit with a direct flame charge. Brendan seeing the downed Shiny Treeko throws a Pokeball.

1...2...3..Ding!

(Remember, some attacks will be different like how detect works)

Moves used:

Flame charge (a fire tackle)

Quick attack (fast tackle)

Crunch (a stronger bite)

Aerial ace (a quick attack with flying type damage)

Dragon breath (Breathing out gas with draconic damage)

Detect (let's the Pokemon predict the opponents next attack, doesn't make them faster so they can still be hit)
