Kaori Amano is the richest, most famous streamer on Earth. Well, she was up until she was brutally killed. But, upon death, she was told she could continue her life in another world. Same soul, same body. No harm in that, right?.... ......Right?..... Maybe if she wasn't suddenly put into a parallel, futurisric world by the Goddess Persephone that was currently in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Or being isolated from safety while a herd is but a few inches from her, separated only by a blast door about to open. Oh, and not only is she living in this undead apocalypse, she is a part of it! And there’s no easy way out. This version of Kaori was a participant in the program that sent the rich to space in order to wait out the apocalypse…. Too bad it followed the rich into space as well. Luckily Persephone isn’t completely screwing over Kaori. She is being gifted power and magical items in exchange for purging zombies. Note: Because of creating a futuristic, space society, there are a lot of things that will need to be explained. This means the beginning will be a bit slow. No smut, no yuri, no harem. Kaori had removed her suit, but sat back down in her seat as she faced the cowboy, who was leaning against a nearby console as he attempted to interview her.
Trusting him, she shook her head no to answer his question.
Breaking her heart slightly, she watched as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes as his breathing suddenly halted. His pain visible.
She wanted to help him feel better. "If it matters, I am Kaori. Just not from this world."
Despite the information she was telling him about her situation, he didn't seem shocked about it, just hurt that his Kaori was gone.
"Persephone is the goddess in charge of our world. She used to send new people here all the time, but had stopped almost 10 years ago because everyone she sent was too weak or quickly gave in to evil tendencies." He shook his head in defeat, "I wanted to believe your strange new appearance was just from one of those rare effects from being too scared, but I should've known better than to expect differently."
Kaori didn't know what to say, "I'm sorry," she awkwardly apologized.
"No, don't be. It's just the way our world has been since the undead rose," he paused, looking up at her. "What year are you from?"
"2024," she replied with weak pride..
"Welcome to the future," he replied quickly.
Future? Kaori questioned herself. "What year is it here?" She asked him.
"2074. The apocalypse started in 2030, so most of the younger generation like us have never actually been on Earth," he somberly informed her. "We were born in space." Jesse dragged his boots against the metallic ground as he went to sit back in his chair, staring at the floor as he sat down. "Was it the same where you're from?"
Kaori didn't know if she needed to be sad or proud that she didn't live in such a world, "no, I was lucky enough to not have to deal with those struggles. But, maybe 2030 would've been different."
"I'm sorry," he quickly apologized, realizing that the only reason she was even there in the first place was because she had died at some point in her world. "Kaori was my fiancee," he sorrowfully informed her, his voice was full of grief, and his strong accent was constantly cracking.
"Is that why you call me princess?"
The cowboy huffed, "no, you are a princess. After years of being in space, some communities began to elect their own rulers. Some decided on presidents, while others enjoyed the idea of royalty. Your father won an election to be King, thus making you a Princess. It was an obvious pick though; your father was one of the best businessmen in the world."
The idea of being royal made her fill up with a sense of importance. Though she didn't want to brag, "I'm sorry about your fiancee," she tried to cheer him up.
He began to cry softly, "was she at least dead before your soul took over?"
"Yes," Kaori continued to answer his questions to the best of her ability. She felt it was the least she could do considering all that he has done for her so far. "Persephone wants us to become one, so her memories will eventually become mine."
He went silent, before lifting his head and catching her attention with his sudden movements; locking eyes.
"If it's not too much to ask, may I request an odd favor?" He sheepishly asked, almost as a whisper.
"A favor?"
"A kiss." He replied hastily.
Kaori's cheeks turned rosy. "A kiss?" she had to repeat what he just asked to be sure she actually heard him correctly. He only nodded to confirm.
While she understood his reasoning, she wanted to kiss him for others.
"Yes," she gave him a weak smile.
Jesse quickly stood from his chair before leaning into her, one of his large hands gently upon the side of her face as he hastily leaned in and placed his soft lips onto hers.
The warmth was welcoming, and Kaori instantly melted. After all that she had been through, a touch of kindness was more than needed. She nearly wanted to tear up herself due to the amount of happiness she was welling up with.
She lovingly leaned into his kiss, before wrapping her arms around his neck as they embraced; she could hear his soft whimpers and she felt him saying goodbye to her through his touch.
He had placed his other hand upon her face, and had begun to twist her long, white hair around his fingers. The soft grip from both of his hands gently cupped around her head, while beginning to tremble.
The sound of their kiss began to drown out the electronics in the room, and it wasn't long until the abundance of emotion building up inside each of them began to push them further.
Kaori felt his hands trace the back of her collar, before finding the zipper that kept her body suit closed.
"May I?" He asked her, breaking their kiss once he realized where his sorrow was leading him. Kaori gently nodded 'yes,' and almost the exact moment she agreed, he began to undress her. While he did so, Jesse leaned in to continue kissing the woman who was once his fiancee.
The way he was kissing her filled her with a feeling so pure, a feeling she had never felt before in her short life. Even if it was love that was directed towards another version of herself, she was embracing it as if it belonged to her.
"What about the ship?" Kaori questioned him, placing both of her hands upon his chest as she pulled away from him slightly.
"The ships are able to maneuver through space without issue. We will be okay," he informed her with a smile, before reconnecting their kiss, and sliding the top of Kaori's bodysuit off; exposing her beautiful body to the cowboy, though she didn't feel embarrassed.
"I promise this is only my goodbye, princess. I promise to let go." He said, as he gently lowered the both of them to the floor, allowing her to be on top so that the chill of the metal wouldn't shock her. "I loved her so much."
Kaori stayed silent as they began to embrace each other at a deeper level; A strong sense of love filling her soul.
It was making her feel like she was in heaven.
