Chapter 82 - Team Up (2)

Shallot was introduced to the other member of Team CFVY, Fox. He wasn't that talkative, but Velvet said that he was just like that around people he wasn't used to. Shallot nodded his head and had a short conversation with Velvet about what she has been up to when he wanted to bring up ways that she could use her semblance better.

Shallot: "You know Velvet, you could use your semblance more increasing your capabilities. Your semblance lets you perfectly copy and understand something you see right?"

Velvet: "Yes it does."

Coco cut in not wanting everyone to have information before the tournament.

Coco: "You shouldn't tell him about our semblance since we're going to be competing against each other."

Shallot nodded towards her then turned back towards Velvet.

Shallot: "Then I will make this fair. If anyone else wants to tell their semblance then they can trade information about someone else's semblance by talking to the other person. Since you told me yours, I'll tell you my semblance. My semblance from what I can grasp is space-time manipulation."

Everyone on Team CFVY blinked their eyes hearing that.

Team CFVY: "Doesn't that make you unstoppable."

Coco: "Since that's your semblance can't you just stop anyone from getting close to you and attack them without them being able to do anything?"

Shallot nodded his head.

Shallot: "I could but that wouldn't be interesting. Nothing in the world so far has been able to harm me in the last 2 years so using my semblance would make it even blander. I want a challenge so I can grow even stronger. Having everyone fight against me in the school for the tournament would count as an easy event for me."

Coco thought about that before Yatsuhashi cut in hearing that feeling that he could understand what he is talking about.

Yatsuhashi: "Does that mean that you are stronger than the headmaster Ozpin?"

Shallot his index finger and thumb to stroke his chin thinking of the best way to put it without it sounding like I'm looking down on the headmaster.

Shallot: "If I were to get serious. Even without my semblance, I am capable of producing attacks that could wipe out the city with pure strength alone."

All the members on Team CFVY swallowed hearing that and Shallot turned back towards Velvet wanting to get back to the conversation before they go on a tangent and get distracted. While Shallot was talking with them the rest of his team members were at the mission board reading up on any information they could find about what they needed to do.

Shallot: "Velvet, have you ever thought about using your semblance for anything other than fighting?"

Velvet tilted her head to the left while placing her right index finger on her chin while thinking.

Velvet: "I've only used it to copy people's fighting styles and copying their weapons."

Shallot: "Then you have been wasting your semblance."

Velvet looked confused at that.

Velvet: "What do you mean?"

Shallot shook his head slightly while looking at Coco thinking that she should have come up with better ways for her team to use what they have more efficiently. Even though he doesn't train Weiss personally he has given her ideas about using her glyphs as traps. He told her to focus on building stamina and strategy since she isn't a head-on fighter mainly but more relies on speed.

Shallot: "You can use your semblance for pretty much everything. By using your semblance to read books you'll be able to retain all the information without the need of having to heavily study something.

You could also use it in the cafeteria while the cooks are making food so that you will know all the movements and what they do to make food. This will come in handy when you are traveling and need to make your own food. Your food can be delicious and fresh instead of ready yo eat foods.

You can also use it to memorize the medical books so that you would have information on treating patients. This could come in handy if one of your teammates become injured on the mission. You could literally learn everything with the least amount of effort.

The only thing you would need after learning all those things would be the experience so that you can do everything efficiently. That's why I said that you aren't using your semblance right and you're wasting it. Not only that. If you are to study anatomy and all the information on Grimm you could use your semblance to copy their movements and then look for weaknesses in them.

Having an understanding of your enemy can help the most in a tight battle if your strength is similar to your opponent or enemy. Your semblance can turn you into a powerhouse when it comes to close-quarter combat."

Everyone on CFVY had their mouths hanging open hearing everything that Shallot said and realized that Velvet would be able to do anything as long as she could see it being done.

Velvet was the most shocked thinking that she could have been so much closer to her goal of being a huntress if she realized all that she could do. Coco was standing there mumbling something. She had seemed to take a hit to her confidence in being a team leader.

Coco: "Maybe I need to understand my teammates better to help them. All he had to do was hear what her semblance was and he came up with a large number of ways for her to improve and not just in one area. He gave her choices on what she could do. It was all up to Velvet to choose."

Ruby tapped Shallot on the arm and he turned to her.

Ruby: "We have all the information and Blake seemed to have some information that wasn't there that she got from Neo yesterday."

The group got together and started to head to the dropship so they could fly over to Emerald Forest. Team RWBYS, CFVY, and JNPR were walking making it to the locker room grabbing their weapons. They then headed for the ship when they saw one of the teachers standing there waiting for them. It was their Grimm study class teacher Peter Port. He had his personal weapon with him while waiting for them in front of the ship's door.

Weiss: "Hello Mr. Port. Are you also going with us?"

Port: "Yes, I will be heading with you but I will be staying on the ship. You all are going to be doing this mainly by yourself and I am here just to grade your progress on how you will do on your first mission. I am also here to see how team CFVY will do and if you all are capable of working with inexperienced teams."

Coco nodding her head understanding that it was a good idea to know what teams are good at working together on bigger teams. They all then headed onto the ship with Port following behind them. Before the door closed someone sped into the ship with them. It was Dr. Oobleck with a Corgi and black cat sitting on his shoulders.
