Could I meet the characters of the book? The Words Of The World confirmed my earlier thoughts so I guess they exist here as well. But are they the same as what the book described them to be? And if so, I hope I'm on good terms with them.
They sound menacing to deal with and the enemies that they deal with are at the top of their A-game. The beings within the book are quite menacing and hard to deal with. However, there are still some underlying issues.
Like, the book had no mention of upgrading Skills. Are these only for me? Or this is an entirely new realm for me? But the other information still checks out. And after some time, I realized that there was a purple bar, right at the top of my vision. This was starting to remind me of a game as well.
"That is your Elemental Energy Pool. It is needed to produce any form of Spells. When the cap has been increased, Spells and Skills will be instantly upgraded."
So... It's like my mana pool. I think I have to stop doubting myself and confirm my prediction. If that's so, that would mean I would have an Elemental Aura as well. I took in a deep breath and calmed myself down. My heart was racing but once I took that breath, it became normal once more.
When I opened my eyes, I stretched out my arms to see my Elemental Aura. And true enough, my Elemental Aura was outlining my body. A deep purple Aura glowed all around me. I did not need to speak out loud anymore since this thing could hear my thoughts loud and clear.
Besides, I'm in the middle of an open field, anything could launch an attack on me.
"Worry not. Enhanced Battle Sense has detected no hostile beings within a hundred-kilometer radius... Warning; Enemy detected."
Well, that was some 'Battle Sense' I've got there... Remind me to get that upgraded as soon as possible. My eyes darted around while changing into my battle stance. Since I wasn't foreign about what to do when an enemy is felt but not in my vision, I wasn't panicking.
However, deep down, I was still wary about this new place. But I had to trust my hands. Because I am no ordinary pretty girl. A fluctuation of the wind was heard and I instantly swung at the place of interference. But nothing was there. Looks like this enemy can camouflage itself rather well.
Another attempt was made to strike at me but I was able to clash with it before it could stab me. But as soon as the weapons made contact, the being vanished once more. I could hardly determine what was the weapon I clashed with. It's going to be tough but not impossible.
I just have to turn the tide around and get one step quicker than my enemy. My guard was still up as I continued to clash, again and again, proving that my skills as a combatant were on par with this mysterious being. I felt an increase of Aura coming from the enemy but I couldn't see it.
Looks like whoever I was dealing with has gotten serious in this fight. I changed my grip on my sword and tried to use one of the Spells that I was reading. When I felt another change in the wind, I made three slashes surrounding it, using only a single movement.
The slashes in the air unleashed waves of water towards the target. It looked like I had made cuts in the air, similar to like damaging a dam as all the water passed through.
"Cascada, First Moon..." I chanted as I finished the end of the third slash.
That's right, this spell is to surround the target with the waves of the Water Element to trap them at a spot and the last move is...
"Calming Waves!" I yelled as I ended the spell by taking one step forward to make a horizontal slash at the target I had trapped.
Unlike the earlier slashes, this one was different. The water didn't come from the broken air, it came directly from the blade itself. A launch of water was met directly with the opponent's weapon and I could finally have a bit of information on what I'm dealing with.
Though the enemy did not reveal himself, I've got a good sense of who I was fighting. Those twin daggers were shown to me when I made that last move. They were the ice breakers for me. But even with this knowledge, I still have a problem up to my sleeve.
I had no idea how to defeat him. Got any good suggestions, Words of The World?
