Eighth Frame: Odin's Warcry

"I am the writer, and this battle is my script. The Act of Sinners intertwines within my hands. The Record Of Darkness hangs around me. Let the Play Of Death... Begin!" yelled Duncan as his Elemental Energy appeared as tapes of films.

To allow Duncan to continue with the chant of the chosen Frame, the tapes sprung out towards the increasing crystals and smashed them like they were glass. Duncan's hair grew long and turned silver while a large black cloak appeared on his tiny body.

The sound of chains was heard but not seen as Duncan turned the scythe sharply, forcing the skull to face outwards.

"God Of Frenzy... War... And many more... This is the part of the story where conflict arises! Armor up! Raise your weapons and hear my call! For I chance upon the use of this revered leader of the possessed... May we hear your battle cry, O' God Of The Gallows!" chanted Duncan.

Astria was concerned as Duncan's Elemental Aura reached dangerous territory, rivaling most of the First Rate Mages around the area. The Crystal Princess was dumbfounded as she hadn't expected Duncan to be so powerful at such a tender age.

"Eighth Frame: Odin's Warcry!" yelled Duncan as a bolt of lightning struck his scythe.

Soon, loud bangs of thunderclaps rang throughout the area, shocking the enemy. Astria panicked and summoned more crystals, only to trigger the significant part of Duncan's Original Spell, a fierce thunderstorm.

But upon closer inspection, the Crystal Princess found that Duncan only had a single Element, the Element of Abyss. But how can that be? She could see him summoning lightning bolts to the area, so what was happening?

Astria decided to use her Original Spell to look into Duncan's memories. And simultaneously, the Crystal Princess could find a way to defeat the child of Darkness. But Astria should've done her homework first because the last time a Mage cast a Memory Spell on the Dementor Pillar...

Let's say that the Mage became demented after seeing how Duncan and his twin were treated in the Infinite Experiments of Albion.

"Drip, the sound of tears flowing. Drop, the sound of the hearts beating. Intertwine, interlace. Consume, converse... This is the Element I hold. These are the powers I control... Let me see the truth, Mind's Eye!" chanted Astria as the crystals around her glowed brightly.

The Ankou knew that the Crystal Princess had the Skill to see into her targets' past and alerted Duncan about it so he could focus on destroying the crystals, but the child merely laughed.

"You've been in my head for so long... Have a little faith in my past, will you? After all, I'm the First Seat Dementor Pillar, the department specializing in Madness Enhancement."

"We take down our opponents in the worst way possible, destroying their minds along with their powers," was Duncan's excuse of why he didn't bother with Astria's small method.

"Royal Crystal: Mystic Memoir!" called out the Crystal Princess.

"Be careful if you are looking into my memories, Crystal Princess. You'll find that I'm no ordinary malnourished boy," taunted Duncan, raining more 'bolts.'

Astria scoffed as she dug into Duncan's past. First, she learned that the 'lightning bolts' that Duncan unleashed were solid streams of Dark Elemental Energy. Meaning to say that... Uh oh.

"You figured it out yet? My bolts aren't from the Lightning Element... Instead, they are based on a specific branch of the Darkness Element... It's called the Necrosis Element. Good luck with trying to negate such an annoying Element," replied Duncan, with a cheeky smile.

"It doesn't matter as I can still see your abilities and every trick you've used before! Such small things will never falter me!" yelled Astria as the area rumbled.

As Duncan unleashed the next wave of strikes, almost 70% of the crystals in the area had been cleared. And Duncan wasn't losing much Elemental Energy since the Ankou gave Duncan the power needed to fuel the Frames.

Meanwhile, the Crystal Princess was still losing a tremendous amount of Elemental Energy as she needed to power both the lair's defenses and her Spell. So why wasn't Duncan winning by a landlside?

In Duncan's mind, the Ankou was bored of trying to find the Crystal Princess's natural body, begging the child to end the battle.

"I wish I could! But, sadly, her scent is everywhere, so I can't pinpoint her location..." complained Duncan.

"Use your Blood Mastery... Push yourself to the limits, and you'll find that you can do things that a normal Mage couldn't do... Show that those training sessions with Mavislin aren't a waste! Think out of the box!" yelled the Ankou, igniting a spark within the child of Darkness.

Here goes nothing! Duncan closed his eyes again and retracted the Eighth Frame, stopping the strikes.
