Adventures Of Mo-san And Mavislin

"That's very good, little Lovely! And the rest of you?" asked Mavislin, placing the bouncy toddler onto the ground.

Soon, the crowd was trying to show their new spells and power to the Valkyrie, causing Mavislin to smile non-stop with pride and joy. Mordred stepped back as she saw her friend smiling happily after what she had gone through... How could Mavislin leave Mordred behind?

The Knight of Rebellion was seething in anger as she tried to summon her sword into her hand. But since nothing came out of it, Mordred decided to charge into the group to kill Mavislin.

"Mother Mav, can you tell us about Mo-san? We are waiting for the story about the Red Knight..." asked a small girl with blonde hair and emerald eyes as she tugged onto Mavislin's dress.

Mordred halted her charge as she laid eyes on the small kid in red that asked the earlier question. The Black Knight breathed heavily, unable to deal with the small girl in front of her. The one to break the stare was Mavislin as she held up the small blonde girl.

"Hello, little Jenny. Mo... San? Oh, you mean King Arthur's son?" asked the Valkyrie, gently ruffling the child's hair.

"Yes! I'd like to know more about her... You said that she was your... Fwend?" asked the blonde child, tilting her head with the last word.

"Correct; Mo-san, or Mordred, was my friend long ago. We went on adventures together and fought lots of people and monsters. We saw many places and ate lots of yummy food!" explained Mavislin, rubbing the small girl's tummy.

The children sat on the grasslands as Mavislin conjured up a wooden chair to sit on. Mordred was interested to know what the Valkyrie would be talking about since she was under the impression that Mavislin had hated her for destroying Camlann. After all, the Valkyrie left her.

That's right... When Mordred returned from the rebellion while waiting for the King to return, she found that Mavislin had left her. That Valkyrie, who she saw as a friend... Left her behind when the war started. Mordred was getting angrier as she recalled those days.

"Mordred Pendragon, the true heir to King Arthur, was a Knight of the Round Table. She was also the closest to me when I was in Briton. Did you know that we're bad people sailing on the sea and ready to take our treasure?" asked Mavislin, bending closer to the audience.

"Yes! We know them... Raiyen told us they are pirates!" shouted a half-human and half-wolf child.

"Correctamundo! And when these pirates came too close to the kingdom, Mordred used her sword and defeated all the nasty pirates! One Knight against fleets of private ships, each ship as more than this group... Can you imagine how strong she was?"

"Then there were bad people on land who didn't like King Arthur. So Mordred beat up all the bad people to protect her father and his name. And that's how I met her, as she thought I was one of the bad people. So we fought when we first met, and it was the most fun fight I ever had."

"I couldn't use my powers since Mordred would've run away from me, so I used all my knowledge of sword fighting against her. We fought from noon to night and only stopped because we were both hungry. Her favorite food was the same as mine; cooked meat," told Mavislin.

Mordred stood there in silence as she heard Mavislin continue about their journeys together. The Black Knight could not help but feel nostalgic towards the Valkyrie as she recalled their fun times together. Was that Slayer right all along? About how she shouldn't be blaming Mavislin?

Maybe the Valkyrie had a reason for leaving? But if Mavislin hadn't left her side and battled with Modred, the Knight would still be alive and win against the King! So why... Why did she go?! The Knight of Rebellion felt fury as she held up her sword.

"Mother Mav... Was Mordred a good person? Did she become King?" asked Jenny, tilting her head to the side.

The Knight quickly halted herself when the child asked the question. She slowly recognized her arm and waited patiently for Mavislin's reply. Mordred couldn't help but feel nervous at what Mavislin thought of her.

"One question at a time, alright? Now then... Mordred was a... Special child," replied Mavislin, with a sad smile.

Hmph! Special child... Just say problem kid, and get on with it... Don't sugarcoat the truth, complained the Knight as she looked away.

"Like us?"

Mordred felt her heart sink to the depths when she realized unique didn't always mean problematic. To these children, it meant to be unique and have different features from Humans.
