219 Prologue

A world of dark water, full of the past swirled endlessly like a river across all realms and dimensions it was allowed access to. There a cocoon laid. The water-like substance seemed to enter the weird egg-like fabricated object in the midst of darkness. It was a constant stream, almost like the cocoon was a vortex of space, consuming all mass in reach. Yet the water missed the normal perception of mass. It flowed just like normal water and it existed in all creatures of lower rank. But it was intangible for most. It had no mass to define it, and no space to find it. Only those with an adept sight could find it, while even fewer could interact with it.

Here, in the dark ocean of weird water-like swirls of substance-less concepts, the cocoon laid. With every moment more of the black water entered the cocoon, yet the endless expanse of black substance never ended. No matter how much the cocoon consumed it never ended.

Years, ineffable to all but few passed in its state. Until finally something changed. It began swallowing more and more black water. This continued for a while, until it stopped for a short while, and began swallowing less of the water-like substance with every passing second. Eventually it had decreased to barely nothing.

Years gone by changed everything however. As it quickly started consuming more water again, but then, out of the blue something unexpected happened. The cocoon cracked, and morphed into three separate creatures, still connected to the same cocoon. Yet the cocoon kept absorbing the water-like substance. But only one part of it, and at a decreasing amount.

Then as a small amount of time passed one third of the cocoon was replaced by a new version. This one seemed to absorb a specific thing in the black water, while the other did the same. As the original continued to consume all from the substance.

Again, time passed. They continued to consume the water at a faster pace, until they suddenly stopped. The acceleration process came to an end and nothing new seemed to happen. The speed remained and the substance never decreased.

But eventually even that changed and very quickly at that. In what seemed like seconds two of the three parts of the cocoon merged and became like the first part, and finally the cocoon was whole. Meanwhile a fourth part, previously unknown, separated from the cocoon, leaving behind a small hole, quickly covered by the healed cocoon.

Then a burst of activity began. At a tremendous speed of record breaking pace the substance was consumed. At some point an infinite amount of substance was consumed and everything was gone. Left in an empty realm, where even space was nowhere to be seen. Then the cocoon exploded and the substance returned.

As the cocoon disappeared a small being remained. Just like the water it was neither an illusion or a reality. It mearly was! The small being spent an unknown amount of time, yet none at all, growing and growing in its own paused time. Until eventually it came to be, as the being it viewed itself as. A human-like creature of ascended status. A black-like blue hair and beard, with black, blue eyes. With a perfect form faced. Like a statue of perfection born human, from its ascended status. But even that was still changing. Whoever witnessed the being would see him differently. But all would see it as human, for that was where he originated from, all that time ago. Even if he was older than the universe he was born in.

And just like that, Ragnar was born in his rightful form once more. Something that had been robbed from him long, long ago.
