Chapter 8

If Yan ming wanted to describe the situation with words, it would be called a one-sided slaughter. The dire wolves killed players left and right, practically one shotting them. It reminded Yan ming of meat going through the grinder.

Although the killing process was extra ordinarily fast, it would take at least five hundred seconds for them to kill all the players in the region, passing the required time for the quest.

Yan ming quietly waited as the time counted down, an when it was ten seconds left on the timer, he quickly jumped down the tree.

"Hey!! over here!!"

The surrounding players and monsters curiously looked back, wondering what kind of idiot can't see what's going on.

Yan ming stood proudly with a dagger in his right hand, while his left hand was taunting the dire wolves with a coke in sign.

Some wolves charged at him with full speed, while the rest continued the slaughter. Some player tried to maneuver through the wolves and kill Yan ming with their own hands, but they where still killed.

A wolf charged toward Yan ming, but he didn't give it any focus. His focus was on the timer on the bottom right of his screen.

A dire wolf pounced at Yan ming, but was quickly intercepted by an arrow landing in it's eye. The wolf landed on the ground, writhing in pain before coming to a halt.

Yan ming traced the direction which the arrow came from and to his surprise, he saw an archer perched on a branch not far from him.

Yan ming looked around and noticed that the scanty field was now filled with guards.

Each guard looked menacing with their unique weapons. from the town gates, the guard that gave Yan ming his quest stood with a menacing glow in his eyes.

The pressure that came from his eyes alone made all the wolves whimper in fear.

"Kill!"

With one word from the guard, another massacre occured. Dire wolves were shot and cut down left and right, without putting up much of a fight.

Yan ming looked closely at how efficient the guards were when killing the wolves. They wasted no movement, and every stroke of the blade had a purpose.

Five minutes later, a pile of wolf bodies were gathered at the forest edge, and the guards were talking and treating the wounded. Throughout the whole fight, no a single guard was killed or critically injured.

Since the battle was over, Yan ming finally had time to check his stats.

The remaining players that were left alive were enraged when they saw Yan ming alive and unscathed.

Wasn't it this lad that led them to their doom?, why was he unscathed when they were haggard?. All they could feel was unbridled anger.

"You bastard!" anger clouded a players mind. He lunged towards Yan ming and slashed his blade downward.

Yan ming looked upward and saw the blade moving in slow motion.

'So this is what difference in danger level is.' he easily sidestepped and allowed the blade to crash onto the floor.

Yan ming stretched his hand out, and like lightning he slashed his blade past the players neck

The damage killed the player instantly. Yan ming looked coldly at the players dead body.

The surrounding players that were all angry before, all became shocked at his overwhelming strength.

"Anyone else!" Yan ming looked at the remaining players with a cold glint in his eyes.

Clap clap clap

"Nicely done adventurer." the guard that gave Yan ming his quest slowly approached him with a smile on his face. "I would like to thank you for what you have done for Rosen port. You not only rallied your fellow adventurers, but you also held off the pack of dire wolves long enough for the main fighting power to come."

When Yan ming saw the guards stats, he remembered the pressure that the guard was exhibiting when he first came.

'Do that's the lower of a rank two being!'

Yan ming collected his rewards before walking back into the forest to have an adventure.
