Xiu Ying, Hua, and Hui can be seen sitting around a camp fire with Hua surrounding herself with Xiu Ying's many tails

"So fluffy~" Hua said, on the verge of falling asleep

"I thought you said the village was nearby?" Xiu Ying said to Hui

"I just said the village wasn't that far not nearby!" Hui said with a flustered face

"You know i never really got to asked what happened to you and your siblings" Xiu Ying asked while patting the sleeping head of Hua

"Grkh!" A horrifying sound of surprise came out of Hui's throat

"I mean you can just ignore it if you want-" Xiu Ying said after realizing the nature of the topic

"N-no you deserve to know i mean you are going to be helping us after all- it's just please give me a second to gather my thoughts" Hui said before standing up and going to the nearby creek

'Uh what?'

[]Your going to be more specific if you want answers[] the bird answered back from the comfort of a hollowed hole in a tree

'It's just- if it's really that hard to talk about it then why did they act earlier like it didn't happen'

[]Call it another passive trait or something but kitsune's just give off this aura that sometimes block normal human logic. I mean, i don't know about you but i'm not going to marry some random lady i just met a few hours ago[]

'Huh well then-'

[]No it isn't permanent and it just works to a certain extent. You might've had unknowingly seduced that guy but whatever that guy and this child saw probably traumatized them[]

'So-'

[]Yep little innocent Hua right there is probably going to be traumatized by that moment when she gets older and understand what happened[]

A worried look appeared on Xiu Ying's face as she looked at the little girl resting on her tails

[]Death might've been a common occurrence in this world but that doesn't mean the trauma it induced won't exist. Unless your a sociopath or something your probably going to have to find a way to deal with death[]

Xiu Ying's thought drifted to the wolf she killed earlier as the bird continued to talk

[]The reality of reincarnating to a fantasy world might've been romanticized by your old worlds influence but this is the reality. Your going to see inhumane and brutal things in this world. I just hope you won't do anything stupid before i leave you on your own[] the bird said before going to sleep

'Bird? Mr birdie?' Xiu Ying asked before receiving no response

Xiu Ying sighed before she heard footsteps coming towards her

Hui came back with no evidence of what he did but red marks in his eyes. He takes a seat as he gave Xiu Ying a forced smile

"It all started from our hometown Yu, a relatively big town with trading as it's mostly known for, i won't spare you the details but our family isn't that big nor is it rich, our dad thought this was going to be a simple trip of selling wares to a relatively isolated village. Because of this he only hired a few armed mercenaries to deal with bandits that might appear, as you saw earlier we got ambushed by a pack of silver back wolves" Hui comed through his hair as he remembers the earlier events

"Our father tried to get us out while the wolves were distracted with the others. He was caught by one of the wolves but it bought me and Hua enough time to make it out" A face of anguish appeared on Hui's face

'I made it out but what's the first thing i fucking do. Hit my sister and be infatuated with some random woman, i really am a horrible piece of shit'

"You know what, you can rest for now i will take the first watch" Xiu Ying said after learning what happened to the siblings

"Thanks" Hui said before he stood up and layed on a pile of grass near the makeshift camp

[(Time skip to morning)]

"La la la la la~!" Hua said while skipping ahead of the group

"I'm really sorry for oversleeping" Hui said while rubbing his nape

"As i said, no worries, i don't even feel tired" Xiu Ying replied

'What's with that anyway' Xiu Ying asked the now awake bird

[] Your on the ascendance stage, pretty much one more step and you'll be able to join celestial realm. But-[]

'But i can't because this is how powerful kitsune's can get'

[]Hey why did you cut me off![]

'Weren't you cutting me off last night too'

[]Grr! That's different and what if i was going to say more![]

'Are you going to say more?'

Xiu Ying received no reply as she walked with a smug look on her face

'You being like this is better than a mopey one'

[]Insufferable host[] a unheard able whisper sounded from the bird

'Did you say something?'

[]I didn't say anything at all![]

'Oh i thought i heard something'

[]Then you should probably get your ears checked[]

As Xiu Ying is conversing with the bird something hugged a handful of her tails

"Big sis, why do you have such fluffy tails?" Hua said while stuffing her face with Xiu Ying's tails

"That's because i'm a kitsune" Xiu Ying said while picking Hua up

"A kitsune?"

"It's complicated, i'll tell you when your older" Xiu Ying said as she let Hua back to the ground

"Looks like we finally reached the village" Hui said as they reached a field full of flowers

Hua ran towards the field before reaching a mound. She looked back towards Xiu Ying and Hui before jumping around and telling them to go faster

As Xiu Ying reached the top of the mound she sees a tiny village with humans walking on and about

She breathes in the air before following Hua and Hui towards the village

Hua: Hey big sis can i ask you something?

Xiu Ying: Sure

Hua: *whispers* We're here to reach you about your cars extended warranty
