Exploring the Dungeon and Transformation

Erik was excited when he made that conclusion.

''Dungeons start with weak monsters, and the further down, the stronger the monsters become! At least so it should be.' He knew that this was an opportunity to absorb life energy, and hopefully return to being a human.

Without delay Erik started to go down the stairs carefully.

10 minutes later, he saw the bottom of the stairs.

'I should have ran, I am feeling that I wasted time going down so slowly.' Luke was mad with the stairs. When he looked forward, he saw little lights on both sides of the corridor, the lighting was little, making it difficult for normal humans to see with details. The corridor was 5 meters tall and 12 meters wide.

'I knew it was a dungeon! I am a genius.' Erik was happy for being right. He soon started to walk through the corridor.

He walked in the corridor for 10 minutes before he found something. There Were four green humanoid creatures with pointy ears , they had a linear muscular body and were 1.2 meters tall and each wearing shorts and was with one sharp dagger in their hand.

'Goblins! This world has goblins! I'm so lucky, they are the weakest monsters.' He stopped walking and started to think about his next steps.

Erik soon realized that he forgot the most important thing 'How I will kill them?' He started a brainstorm of potential strategies that he can use to kill them.

'First of all, I will need plans A, B and C. If the A fails I will use the B, if the B fails I will start to run to the stairs.' Erik started to organize his ideas in plans.

'In the plan A I will get closer to the goblins and when they attack me I will arrest their attacks between my bones and I will use my hands to choke them, when my target drops his dagger I will use it to kill them, a good plan.'

'In the plan B if I fail to arrest them, I will use my bone's hands to hit their eyes and blind them.'

'Perfect! Now I only need to implement my plans and hopefully kill them.' Erik started slowly to get closer to the goblins, more and more.

But when we were 20 meters away from the goblins he perceived something strange.

'Why are they not attacking me?' When he had this thought, he suddenly realized the most basic thing.

'I am a fu*king monster! Why did I make so many useless plans !? I am a idiot!' Erik was very angered.

'I am not creating other plans! I will first go to plans A, B, and run away! But the plan A will be subjected to some changes.' He decided with evil thoughts.

Walking to a goblin he formed his decision, he went to the goblin and peacefully dragged him away from the other goblins. When he arrived close to the stairs he went to the goblin's back. Erik used his left hand to open the goblin's mouth and quickly he stuck his right hand in the goblin throat, moving his left hand to hold the goblin.

"Aww!" The goblin that was choking tried to scream, but he was far from the other goblins. The goblin tried to hit Erik with his dagger but without success.

The goblin tried to remove the black skeleton from him but with no results. Erik was all the time concentrated and didn't let the goblin escape. The goblin finally dropped his dagger and Erick saw an opportunity.

He picked the goblin dagger with the left hand in a reverse grip and stabbed the goblin's left eye, piercing the brain.

"Arghh!" The goblin died Immediately.

Without thinking too much he accepted the notification.

The goblin started to wither and the life energy penetrated his bone making him feel stronger even if a little.

Erik said to the system with a strange thought 'Why do I need to choose if I only have one option?'

'System gives me a description of my new ability.' A new text appeared to him.

'Interesting. It is good if used in the right hands.' He thought when he remembered killing the goblin.

'3 more goblins.' He counted the number of goblins left to kill.

'I wanted to receive nice titles like goblin slayer. Would be cool.' Erik played with his imagination and started to walk back to the goblins holding the dagger now in his right hand after cleaning it.

Few minutes passed and Erik returned to where the goblins were. He did the same process with the second goblin, but with a little more facility because of his strengthening from his ability [Life assimilation] and his new ability [Agility fortification], and principally because of his dagger. When they approached the withered goblin corpse the goblin noticed it and stopped walking, apparently confused about the death of one of them.

Erik didn't lose the opportunity and used his left arm to hold the goblin's neck and stabbed the goblin's right eye with the dagger. The goblin died and Erik used the [Life devourer].

But when he absorbed the goblin's energy he only was strengthened by the white light, no more notifications appeared.

'I think this goblin was the same rank than the other, so the ability couldn't be improved.' After that he killed another goblin the same way and for the last goblin he just pierced him in the eye from behind without thinking much about moving the goblin of where he was.

'I took a long time but now 0 goblins are left. I see results.'

He started to walk by the corridor again, happy but not smiling.

'If all monsters are so idiot I'll clean this dungeon with no difficulties. I'm so smart doing strategies.' Erik firmed his thoughts and accelerated the steps.

'After absorbing more life energy from the goblins I'm feeling much stronger, but my rank didn't change anything.' Erik was thinking about how many goblins he will need to absorb to raise his rank when he saw a bifurcation going to right and left.

'I will choose the right path.' He decided and moved on.

Few minutes later he met more goblins.

'And there we go.'

He repeated the process to kill the goblins and continues to explore the dungeon.

6 hours after he started his massacre he found new opponents.

During 6 hours he killed a total of 54 goblins and his bones became much stronger.

He saw a group of 6 giant goblins each one 2 meters tall and muscular, holding sharp longswords. Just looking at them is possible to know that they are not weak.

'Why do the enemies become so scary? They look like hobgoblins.' Erik started to come with an idea to defeat the hobgoblins and he found one answer.

'They look strong but I'm strong too. I absorbed so much life energy, I refuse to believe that I can't fight a goblin! And they hopefully will give me the energy necessary to evolve.' He decides his next actions and gets closer to the hobgoblins.

The hobgoblins were ignoring him, which was a good thing. He stopped in front of a hobgoblin and looked at his eyes. Erik was 1.8 meters tall, less than the hobgoblin that was 2 meters.

Erik stabbed the hobgoblin's eye and killed him with one movement.

He quickly accepted the notification and saw the goblin abilities. While the others hobgoblins were stunned. The hobgoblin corpse was withering and Erik was getting the sword and becoming stronger Through the life energy.

He chose his only possible option and dogged from a sword strike while cursing the system. 'This system is kidding with me.'

Another sword attack passed for him but didn't hit his bones.

He turned his skeleton and delivered a stab to a hobgoblin at his heart, the hobgoblin did not resist more and died. Erik felt that he was hit by two blows. He didn't feel any hurt but he was launched flying and his ribs received two shallow marks.

'My bones are stronger than I thought. I don't need to think much about them breaking.' He lost all fear and launched against the other 4 hobgoblins.

One hobgoblin tried to stab him but his sword passed by his ribs and the hobgoblin was cut in the neck, a long injury with a lot of blood flowing out.

The other hobgoblins hit Erik with success but he didn't stop. He stabbed the other hobgoblins while the hobgoblins struck him, in the end 6 hobgoblin's withered corpses were lying in the ground and a black skeleton was standing, with some little marks In his bones.

Erik thought with himself 'If they were F-late I would probably be a bones pile.'

He went to absorb the life energy from the hobgoblin's corpses and when he finished a pleasant surprise appeared to him.

1 hour later after he started to run, he found the stairs.

'Finally I will evolve! I hope that I will get a strong body.' He started to go down stairs.

'I will see what kind of monster has the second floor before I evolve. Is there stronger goblins or new monster types?' He thought.

In this time Erik decided to run down the stairs and arrive at the next floor. The floor was darker than the first floor and was 10 meter tall, 24 meters wide. Anormal human would find it hard to see anything.

He walked for a few times before meeting a new type of creature.

'I was not expecting to find a cousin.' He found a 4 meters tall skeleton. His skeleton was white and thick showing a strong resistance, he was wearing robust armor. He was wielding an intimidating bastard sword of 2 meters in the right hand and a tower shield at the left. In short, he has no chance against the giant skeleton.

'Oh, my god. Isn't the difference too big?' He thought when he compared the monsters of both floors.

He started to return to the stairs and went upstairs. He stopped when he was in the middle of the stairs.

'That's a good place.'

'System, show my status.'

'System.' He paused and then continued 'Start the evolution.'

He was surrounded by a white light that came from his bones and slowly started to lose his consciousness until he did something he wanted to do.
