As the group approached a large manor in the town they were all determined to speak to the magician that lived in the town. Daryl reached his hands out to knock on the door to see if anyone was home or if they would have to wait for her to return before they could meet her. Suddenly the wolf turned to look behind them and after a moment foot steps could be heard behind them.
"Bredret you a**!" the sound of a frustrated woman sounded from behind them.
As they all turned to look at her a look of puzzlement filled all their faces. The woman was absolutely gorgeous was everyone's first thought when they looked at her in her pink dress with the flowers in her brown hair. Then they all stopped their train of thought when they remembered she had just cursed at Bredret!
Turning to look at the dragon standing in his human form behind them all they saw him shaking. There was a look a slight fear in his eyes as he sighed heavily. Suddenly his eyes closed as the dragon dropped to his knees where he stood. It was like the dragon had just submitted upon first glance to the woman in front of them all.
"Uh..."
"What.."
They all stared at him with a mix of amazement and bewilderment in their eyes. Vorbuk was even confused as he kept glancing around at them all. He could feel the woman was strong, but he had never thought the dragon would just submit so quickly to someone. After a moment he felt like his very soul was being pierced right through with her gaze as well as he saw the woman slowly turn her eyes to look at him. She was studying him very closely and it made him feel uncomfortable where he stood.
"Madam Flora..." Bredret forced out the words as his body was still shaking with fear.
"Don't you madam me! Why are you here?" She huffed and folded her arms in frustration. The last thing she expected to see was the face of a dragon that she has seen cause many forms of trouble over the years she had been alive. As a goddess of her age she had been alive long before Bredret was even born and knew how much trouble the dragon could get himself into.
"What are you doing?" Daryl sized up his friend that was on his knees shaking.
"Are you mortals all idiots?" Bredret sighed as he slowly turned his eyes to glare at Daryl for judging him at the moment.
"Let's not do this outside, please. I have a reputation in this town as a highly skilled magician. I do not with to tarnish that name right now." She spoke as she slowly walked her way past them all and opened the door. Her hand grabbed Bredret by the back of his shirt and dragged him as he walked swiftly to keep up pace with her since she would not let go until they were all inside.
Everyone was confused as they watched the scene unfold in front of them. Leo was the last one inside and closed the door behind them all.
Once they were all inside they walked to the living room where the woman sat down on her chair and gestured for them all to sit as well. Exchanging a few glances they did as she asked and sat down. Bredret was still shaking as he sat down. Seeing him like that Celeste floated over and sat on his lap as she embraced him by his neck to help soothe him. It took a moment, but eventually he calmed himself down with her there.
"So what is it you all wish to talk to me about?" The woman smiled sweetly at them all as a soft sweet scent drafted through the air around them.
The smell caused all of them to calm down and relax. It was very soothing to the core of their soul. She seemed to have guessed they needed a bit of help relaxing in such a strange situation. After finding her they hadn't expected to see the dragon collapse in fear and it had caused them all to panic for a moment inside even if they hadn't realized it themselves. It was not every day you saw a dragon drop and submit to someone else.
"We've come from Cadirade." Leo was the first one to break the silence as he stated where they had come from.
The sudden declaration of where they had come from was something the woman had guessed, but after hearing it there was a glint of regret in her eyes that they could not comprehend.
"Madam, we've come to ask if you'd be willing to help Cadirade in the war against the Ice Queen Lyra of Ethiadan." Leo spoke again since he had seen her show no signs to respond to him.
Her eyes gazed across everyone present in the room. A sudden fear washed over Bredret again as he knew they were sitting in front of a goddess. He had met her many times over the years he'd been alive. He also knew that has a divine creature he was restricted from helping mortals in the war. Seeing her silence and knowing that she knew who he was helping the group right now it was causing a large amount of fear to build up in his chest. If she decided to end his life for helping the mortals she could very easily do so regardless of him being a divine dragon because she was a goddess of much higher standing then himself.
Leo and the others exchanged looks as they could not understand why the woman was remaining quiet. The only thing she was doing was carefully studying everyone. They were unsure what was going on in front of them. Not a thing could be gathered from the situation as they tried to decide in their minds what to do at the moment.
"I have no interested in helping you, mortals." Flora finally spoke after a long silence to them all.
"What?"
"Why?"
"She's a goddess you idiots!" Bredret finally screamed at them all as he could not tolerate their ignorance at the situation any longer.
