The Following day,
Vorbuk groaned as he was dragged by chain down the hallways of Kaiser's mansion. The knights were rough with him as they pulled him along. Growls kept escaping his throat as he wanted to tear them all apart. It felt like his mind was slowly snapping.
Because of the magic collar around his neck it was impossible to use his mana to break free. He was no worse then a hostile dog at this point. Feeling humiliated by this situation he struggled against the chains as they dragged him. The more he struggled the more violent the knights became with him. It felt like he was suffocating from the amount of panic in his chest.
The knights were taking him to meet with Kaiser. At first when they brought him outside the mansion he heard the loud creaking noises. It sounded similar to an old boat dock. that was when the wolf realized he was not imagining things. With his eyes glancing up he could see it... A floating ship was docked outside Kaiser's mansion.
It was not a sight that one saw very often. Who could sail a floating ship across the continent? Only the elves of Yiven Kingdom had the rights over their ships. Vorbuk did not know that much about the floating ships but he knew they were not something you saw everywhere. It was an advanced creation of the elves and even he had read about it during his studies.
Thump! Thump!
His heart was pounding in his chest as he tried to comprehend what was going on. The ship seemed to rock slightly as if it was truly floating on the ocean. Hovering in the air outside the mansion was impossible to remain covert. However since General Vulen no longer had a reason to hide the fact that he had betrayed his kingdom, Yiven, over the ships it was the best method he had for travel. The quicker his work got done the sooner he could return to Queen Lyra's side.
Vorbuk had overheard the knights talking and knew. He was being dragged away to see Kaiser before he handed him over to the general, Vulen. Why does Kaiser work with General Vulen?
They came to a stop just a few feet from Kaiser outside in the wide open yard of Kaiser's mansion. Kaiser did not care about gardening details. It was not anything too fancy when it came to the decor outside of his mansion.
Growling at Kaiser as they approached him. The wolf thought about jumping at the vampire. He thought about ripping open Kaiser's throat for treating him like some average beast. It was only his conscious that kept him from acting on such instinct.
"I wish I could add you to my collection. You would make a wonderful addition." Kaiser snickered with a smile as he spoke to the beast.
The wolf snarled and tried to lunge towards the vampire. Knights held him back by pulling at the chains that bound him. It was impossible to bite the vampire. Kaiser only smiled proudly back at Vorbuk as he could see how badly the beast wanted to tear him apart. It was not the first time he had dealt in trading wild beasts. Vorbuk was no different to him then that of any other beast.
General Vulen? Vorbuk recognized the elf right away. It was not his first time meeting the general. He had never met him in human form yet. However as a beast he had come across him in the past with Prince Leo. If he was only able to shift forms he could escape from the elf Vorbuk thought. It was not guaranteed but it would be better then becoming a caged animal.
General Vulen came down from the floating ship only to stop in front of Kaiser. His eyes tried not to be obvious when glancing over at the beast.
"You did well." General Vulen complimented Kaiser halfheartedly.
Kaiser scoffed at General Vulen while raising a hand to motion his knights, "Load the beast up on board the ship. Do not let anything happen to him."
"Yes, sir!" They replied to him before dragging Vorbuk towards the ship. Intending to drag him on boards the ship.
"I'm surprised you let the beast go so easily. I thought for sure you would try to keep him." General Vulen spoke honestly about Kaiser. The vampire was crazy about rare beasts to the point some would consider him insane. Kaiser was the sort to personally go out and hunt down wyverns, griffins, and anything else he could get his dirty hands on.
Kaiser grinned and replied, "I am a man of profit and honor as well... or do you really see me as such a vampire of greed?"
"No." General Vulen denied the fact that he saw Kaiser as someone full of greed.
Kaiser's eyes seemed to flicker as he asked, "If I am someone so greedy... What would that make you?"
General Vulen flinched.
The vampire leaned in closer to General Vulen as he added on, "Are you not someone who has completely sold out your own kingdom's secrets for the sake of the Ice Queen? At least I have my honor in tact which is more then I can say for you."
Vorbuk had no idea what was going on. After being dragged aboard the ship he was thrown into another magic cage. It seemed that the knights from Kaiser were leaving him under the control of knights under General Vulen's control. They were not knights of the Yiven Kingdom like General Vulen normally commanded. Everyone were knights under the Drethia Kingdom.
How did General Vulen get Drethia Knights under his control? Vorbuk shuddered at the sight of the vampires before him that were under the control of General Vulen. What kind of deal did he make with the Drethia King to get vampires under his control?
... Huh?
What was that? Vorbuk caught sight of something small rushing behind some crates. Did I see wrong?
L-Leah?! Vorbuk was startled by the small fox that suddenly peaked out from behind the crates. She was looking around trying to find a safe place to hide. The young child had decided to sneak aboard the ship and leave the mansion.
Is she trying to escape Kaiser? Vorbuk wondered while feeling worried about the young child. If the other vampires found her it was impossible to tell how they would react to her trying to escape. She was important to Kaiser because she was a child he was raising for future food source.
Grr... rrrr... rrr...
Vorbuk tried to get the small fox's attention. The little fox tilted its head back and looked over in his direction. Three bushy tails waving about the air excited to see a familiar face.
N-No! Leah, come here! Vorbuk tried to convey his words to the fox. It was impossible to communicate with her in his wolf form. She was confused by his actions and small growls to get her attention. Little fox ears twitching as her head tilted back and forth.
It felt like she was debating if he had lost his mind... Vorbuk realized it may be more difficult then he thought to help the child.
