Guild Master Seon was not a man who generally could be summoned by anyone. However when he heard that Vorbuk and his group had successfully obtained the throne of Theapan his interest was piqued. Seeing the possibilities of what he could gain to benefit from working with Vorbuk. He was not someone who went back on their word as well.
It did not take long for him to gain word from Vorbuk that he had been successful in becoming king. Vorbuk had invited Seon to Theapan because he wanted him to take over Theapan's guild system. Needing someone he trusted from the outside to be in charge of the guilds within Theapan Kingdom, Seon was the only person Vorbuk trusted. He did not know Seon personally but it was his personality that Vorbuk put his faith in.
Seon was not the type to turn down easy profit. Within a few weeks after Vorbuk took the throne Seon made his own move. Having the Theapan's King as his personal backer Seon was able to easily flush out those in charge of Theapan's guilds. Implementing his own men among the system he would go to gain a huge information network throughout the Kingdom of Theapan.
"You're here." Vorbuk's voice could be heard calling out to Guild Master Seon as he entered the palace garden. Looking up Seon could see Vorbuk in his human form sitting down on a bench leading to the palace garden's maze.
"You invited me to the palace. I came with the assumption you had something interesting in mind." Seon replied while walking over to Vorbuk and sitting down. They both knew that the way he was talking to Vorbuk was not befitting etiquette when talking to the kingdom's king. However neither of them cared about being proper with nobody else around to hear them talk.
"How would you like to help me with something? It might be annoying but the profit would be worth it I believe." Vorbuk asked while pondering something that had been on his mind for a while. It would be something that could help the kingdom in the long run both in income and strength.
"What is this idea?" Master Seon was interested in knowing what Vorbuk could have thought of. There seemed to be a lot of interesting things that happened around this beast.
Vorbuk hesitated before speaking his thoughts out loud, "The Theapan Dungeon."
Seon flinched, "What?"
"It is full of mana crystal. Enough to make a real difference for the kingdom. I want you to have the Theapan guilds farm it. What we don't use for aiding the kingdom's knights we can use for income as well." Vorbuk spoke bluntly about what he wanted to do with the dungeon. It was not a dungeon that people ventured into and much about it had remained unknown to those outside the dungeon. Seon listened as Vorbuk spoke about the dungeon as someone who had gone through it til the end. The idea did not seem all that impossible to work with.
Seon finally felt the strength leave his body as he sighed heavily from the idea. "It could be done."
"I will leave it to you then." Vorbuk smiled as he could hear the frustration in Seon's voice from the amount of work that had just been dumped on his lap.
"By the way," Seon's rabbit ears twitched as he began to ask a question that was lingering over him. "it has been a while now. Have you decided when you will deal with King Luke? How long can he be kept in the palace prison before that becomes a problem?"
"It's on my list of things to deal with.." Vorbuk knew he had not dealt with King Luke completely yet. He had taken the throne but the king was still alive. The problem for him was how to deal with Luke while he also knew it would hurt the princess.
"Master?" Ashley's voice suddenly broke the tension in the air from Seon's question.
Seon flinched when he realized he had not noticed Ashley standing behind them. How can someone lack a presence to that extent?! "Oh my god!"
"Ashley," Vorbuk scolded him. "don't frighten people like that."
"Sorry, master," Ashley apologized. "but you looked as if your mind was worried."
Vorbuk ignored Ashley's worry about him and turned to Seon again. "He's like that.. As for King Luke you don't need to worry about my situation. Just take care of your end of our deal and things will be fine."
"Alright." Seon was not convinced that everything was fine. He would leave the questions for now but he caught a glimpse of that cold gleam in Ashley's eyes behind Vorbuk. That was a look that made him feel uncomfortable. This one is dangerous but acting like he is innocent.
"What's wrong with you?" Vorbuk asked when he noticed the rabbit man's questionable expression.
"No, I just find the ones you choose to have around you always seem to be.." Seon stopped talking once he realized there was no polite way to word it. Those that were around Vorbuk all seemed a bit strange in his opinion.
"Don't you have work to do?" Vorbuk wasn't interested in hearing his complicated opinion of Ashley and the others.
"Oh, yes, of course!" Seon's ears twitched as he began to stand up. "Edwin will be in touch with you about the progress in the future as things move along. If you need anything else just send word."
"Will you remain in the capital here?" Vorbuk asked.
"Yes," Seon answered. "this is the best place for me to remain for now."
"Will it not affect your work in Cista?" Vorbuk honestly wanted to know how he planned to deal with his work back in the other kingdom. Guild Master Seon did not give up his power in Cista but simply relocated and expanded his branches over another kingdom. If he kept growing in the future he could become on par with Pope Johann Lovette.
"You don't need to worry about my situation. I have everything taken care of back in Cista. The king and I have an understanding as well. Things aren't that well back in Cista right now though.." Seon's mind began to wander.
Vorbuk noticed the expression darken on Seon's face. "What happened with King Micah?"
"You haven't heard yet?" Seon noticed that they both seemed to be clueless about Cista Kingdom.
"What do you mean?" Vorbuk pressed for an explanation about what happened to King Micah and his kingdom.
Seon seemed to hesitate to speak further about it but eventually opened his mouth. "Cista Kingdom was attacked by a dragon again. This time since you guys weren't there to aid them the king had to fight personally in order to protect the capital from being completely destored. The damage they took was not small but the king is furious. Its the second time something has happened to Cista Kingdom because of that god."
Ba-Dump!
Vorbuk felt like his heart dropped in his chest. It was a good thing that King Micah was still alive and did not die in battle. To fight against a dragon that showed the king's strength. However now that Cista Kingdom had been struck again by Chynir it made him ponder the idea of contacting King Micah again about cooperating together. He could only take another shot at gaining the king as an ally and hope that it worked out well.
