King Luke sat on his chair as he heard a strange noise coming from inside his tent. In the air not far from him the space in the air began to distort. A man in black stepped through the space into the tent. It was Chynir followed by a suffocating pressure that the god only let up after seeing they were alone. The king's body was quivering from the god's presence that was overwhelming for him.
"My lord.." King Luke swallowed hard as he tried to decide what to say to the god suddenly showing up.
Chynir's cold gaze barely lingered on the king as he walked over to the door flap of the tent. Slowly moving the flap aside he peered out at the knights protecting the area. No words were uttered as he stood there in heavy silence.
"Things are going according to plan, my lord." King Luke said as reassurance to the god.
"Are you trying to placate me?" Chynir did not turn around as he spoke to the king. Not caring for the king's status which was beneath his own. There was no need for him to act courteous to the king.
"I do not understand what you mean," King Luke spoke in a trembling voice as his eyes diverted from the god nervously. "I have done everything according to your wishes til now."
"Have you really?" Chynir smiled but there was no hint of politeness in it. Turning his head to the king as he took a few steps towards him. With every step he got closer the king's own nerves became more disturbed.
Thud!
Collapsing to the ground King Luke fell from the chair onto his knees. If one of his own men had seen him they would find his action not befitting of royalty. A royal would never lower himself in front of another. That could not include the gods but the scene was something that others could not easily imagine. It was like throwing their pride out the window.
"I would never betray my lord." King Luke closed his eyes as he spoke.
"You mean to tell me you did not accept an unwelcome guest? Your speaking honestly with me when you deny having allowed that thing to have an audience with you?" Chynir's bent forward slightly. His hand slowly lifting the king's chin upward in order to force the king to make eye contact with him.
He is aware! The god was aware that King Luke had gone against his direct orders to not allow the enemy to live. Luke had ignored the god's desire to kill them and instead had a conversation with them.
BAM!
Chynir's foot sent the king flat onto the floor of the tent with a rough thud. Sitting down on the king's chair as he glared down with a dark expression on his face. Even wounded Chynir was still a very dangerous god. Other gods were not easily on par with him even in such a state.
"There is nothing I hate more then a disloyal dog. You are nothing but a pawn for my use. Tell me," Speaking to the king he watched the man sit up where he had fallen.
Fear in his eyes as he watched the god's actions carefully. Chynir slowly lifted the king's wine glass and poured it over the king's head. "How should I punish a disloyal dog? Should I beat you? Give you another chance? Or should I just go directly to that daughter of yours and put her down? After all,"
Chynir leaned in closer to the king while watching the spilled wine drip from the king's face. "A disloyal dog is bound to have disloyal pups. I do not have a use for dogs who don't obey their master."
"I was wrong!" King Luke began to panic when he heard the threat towards his daughter. "I merely thought it was not the right time to attack them! They will not get away from us that easily! Have faith in us, my lord!"
Chynir refilled the wine glass with a bottle that was sitting on the table. Sipping at the wine gracefully with closed eyes as he listened to the king ramble on in a panic. It was somewhat humorous to listen to someone preach having faith directly to him. Who would think to preach about faith in another to a god?
"Enough," Chynir found the king to be an annoyance. Something insignificant that did not know his place in front of him. "I shall not waste my time dwelling over this matter. Get the job done or I will kill you myself even if your life is not forfeit in the war itself. I have no need for useless things."
Swirling the wine around in the glass elegantly as he gazed into it he recalled another toy of his that he had not seen for a while. It was someone else insignificant. He needed to check on how that child was doing doing his role as well but things had been disrupted by these unwelcome distractions.
Perhaps I should bring along a gift for that child in the future. Chynir smirked as he thought of something useful that he could bring along with him next time he went to Cadirade to check on how things were coming along. There was something he could obtain for him to use that a mortal could not, dragons. A whole kingdom of dragons resided in the north western part of the continent. Though dragons are few in number because of low fertility they still resided mainly within the bounds of their own kingdom.
"Thank you, my lord." King Luke forced himself back to his feet as he went to a stack of papers on the table. Flipping through them he found one that he had worked hard to obtain for Chynir. Handing it over directly to him the god did not hesitate to take the paper and read it over.
"This is.." Chynir's grip on the paper tightened as he read it causing it to wrinkle in his grasp. Flora, Iemis, and Shides were the three names written on the paper. They were gods that had been involved around him.
"Information on the gods that have been seen around the areas you've been going after. I don't know where they are currently but they have been spotted in the places that you had problems with thus far. That is the information you wanted correct? I haven't been able to determine but it also looks like there might be one more involved but it has been impossible to find out who he is so far.." King Luke explained the notes given to the god.
Standing up the air began to distort in front of Chynir as he got himself ready to leave. Anger boiling inside of him as he thought of how they were getting in the way of his goal.
"A-Are you leaving, my lord?" King Luke asked while trembling. Unsure of what the god planned to do to those gods after verifying that they were indeed getting in his way.
"I have another thing to take care of. I will deal with them later. You only have to worry about the job you've been given. If I find out you did something stupid once more I wont be giving you any further opportunities." Chynir knit his brows as he glared at the king.
"What are you-?" King Luke could not finish his sentence as the god stepped through his portal and warped out of the tent, leaving behind only his final warning.
